Urban Playground Climbing

Good climbing venue. 4 auto-belay stations / 2 routes each, from 5a to 6b. Wide bouldering area with good structure. Plenty of routes for top rope and lead. Routes are changing regularly so you have quite a variety to climb even without partner. Day pass is 475 bath (allows you to use all gym, not climbing only).

Staff are super friendly and are always around to help. Routes get changed every month or so. A brilliant way of toning up whilst having fun.

I'd intended to restart climbing for a while after a 16 months hiatus and chose this place for its proximity. It ended up being love at first sight.

A great climbing club integrated into a larger sport complex with high quality service and modern, clean facilities, highly competent staff, unforgiving regard for safety regulations and altogether an amazing experience. Also a great place to meet like-minded climbers.

I wanted to do some bouldering while in town and this place looked pretty solid. A bit confusing to find the place – it’s in the Racquet Club building. The price is a bit expensive but you get access to everything in the building. The climbing area is pretty cramped. The top-roping is basically on top of the bouldering area so you’re constantly looking up to make sure you’re clear of the top-ropers. Also, the routes are terrible. Most folks I noticed were going off route and not even bothering.

An ok gym but 2 stars because the route-setting was not great.at least for the bouldering. I didn't do any lead or top-rope. (I have been a route setter at my home gym for 2 years so I'd like to think I know what I'm talking about. I climb V6-7.) In their defense, half the bouldering area was just a giant cave with a 12-15ft long flat roof so I can understand that it'd be tough to consistently set interesting stuff on that (badly designed) feature. Besides that, I had a hard time discerning which holds were on for which route. Plus, many of the routes were pretty reachy, which is an instant red flag for me.

However, the staff was very nice and spoke english well enough to help a dumb American like me.

Excellent facility, and great price especially considering that the day pass gives you access to climbing, tennis, badminton, swimming, exercise rooms, and probably more that I don’t know about.

Really love it here. Staffs are really expert in what they are doing. Many routes and always updated. 3-5 auto-belay. I try some other places. This place is the nicest but traffics!

Great climbing wall in central Bangkok area. There’s a shorter wall with a range of graded routes and then a much higher wall. Also a brilliant bouldering wall at ground level. Good for all abilities.

I have a good time here. The price is a little bit expensive but it's easy to get there. It's located in the city and not far from BTS.

Not the largest climbing gym, but a great location and good variety of bouldering routes. Day pass gets you access to the whole sports complex as well. Friendly staff.

It's tough to climb here in the summer since the gym is not air conditioned and is exposed to the outdoors. There are fans but no air gets to the bouldering cave.

The bouldering is challenging, but the problems can be difficult to follow if two problems of the same or similar color run near each other.

Next time I'm in Bangkok I'll go back.
