Unico 23 Italian Dining

After being in Thailand for a month I needed some food that wasn't local, I found this in a small side street, to a street that doesn't exactly ooze culinary experiences, but this place definitely gave me one. I ordered, as I always do when I'm in an Italian restaurant, spaghetti carbonara and it's the best sun I've had outside of Italy. At the same time, the atmosphere in the place is wonderfully relaxing. There is no doubt that the host, who by the way was there when I was there and who came to hear about my experience, will create a fine dining experience and he certainly succeeded. It is a place I will come to next time I come to Bangkok.

Mr Pierluigi welcomed us very well and we chatted with him all evening, after two weeks of Thai cuisine some pasta and pizza was what we needed! Delicious ravioli! I recommend

I loved walking into his place - like a cozy home nestled in a beautiful garden.

My friend Inga and I went out for xmas dinner and we had the perogies special along with other Ukrainian dishes such as borscht soup and another tasty dish.

The dessert came with dry ice presentation which was truly a delight. Highly recommend this place for a good fun and delicious experience.

As we were sitting there a gentleman sitting next table to us was also enjoying the same good delicious food. It ended up that he was actually a Ukrainian sausage maker in Bangkok and so we ended up speaking to him and my friend is buying some good wholesome Ukrainian sausage from this gentleman.

The smells the taste and everything was so authentically Ukrainian and this is actually an Italian restaurant, but they do have Ukrainian specialties once in a while, so definitely try them out when they do have them.

This is a very special Italian restaurant, only about 9 minutes’ walk from Bangkok’s Sukhumvit MRT station. This lunch, from the appetizer to the main course to dessert, the variety of food and the quality were excellent. Even the furnishings have been carefully considered. The staff are very friendly and the service is excellent. And the price is more reasonable than expected. Definitely worth a try if you have enough time in Bangkok.

Quite the pricey Italian restaurant but the food quality is good.

Menu is wholly in English and when also factoring in the Italian cuisine then local Thai will find the experience a challenge.

Ask and they just might be able to provide a gluten free pasta dish for coeliacs. No luck with pizza in that respect.

Given the western style pricing one needs to consider the happiness of all in your group and whether money could be better spent elsewhere for guaranteed enjoyment.

This is an excellent place. Might be a little difficult to find. The food and the service is excellent. The menu has pretty good vegetarian options.

They had delicious Polish food. Legitimate meat pierogi and golabki! The service and tables were also excellent.

Ordered in to the hotel and delivery took only 30 minutes. The aglio olio spaghetti with homemade spicy sausage was nice, and was not too spicy. The pizza diavola was okay too - the crust was crispy and not too thick, but the sauce was a tad bland.

Both dishes were a tad salty.

Lovely food! We were given a free starter with lots of veg and a shrimp each, and a free dessert with a dry ice show. Very attentive service. This restaurant pulls out all the stops to give you a lovely experience. The spinach starter was excellent too (not free). It's awesome if you want a big pile of veggies and garlic. Also had lasagne and pizza, which were good.

Went at lunchtime, the place was totally empty which is rarely a good sign at noon. Decor is a bit tacky and too dark. With a lunch set at only 499 + for 3 courses, I really wanted to like it. Unfortunately food was pretty bad despite trying hard on the presentation. Taste was bland, sesame tuna was dry and not very fresh, salmon was overcooked, eggplants too salted. Very uninspired food. Maybe we should have tried the polish specials. Service was nice and diligent.

Absolutely delicious. Everything we ordered was superb. The presentation of the food was also impressive. Loved the whole experience. The inside has a nice atmosphere with music playing and comfortable chairs. We ate here for lunch and dinner on the same day. We ordered off the lunch set menu and the portions were perfect. At dinner the portions were large. We ordered pizza, baked eggplant, seafood spaghetti, bruschetta, caprese salad, panacotta, and it was all delicious. They also had a gluten free pasta option, which is great because my husband has celiacs. We took our toddler and they had high chairs, but no kids'size meal portions. We plan to eat here again often and wish we had found it sooner. The staff were all very friendly, polite, and attentive.

Cozy Italian and Polish restaurant. Owner is very sweet and welcoming. Good for romantic dinners or with the family.

Came here with a business partner, purely based on reviews and we were not disappointed!
The atmosphere was quite relaxed and we had a nice chat with the owner. Our business partner was even allowed behind the bar to mix an amazing Aperol Spritz for me.
Food already started off great with a complimentary starter: some sweet and sour salad with prawn, delicious! We had a cheese platter as well as melon and parma ham as starter. Mains we tried two pizze (with black truffle, yumm!), seafood pasta and I had the bacon wrapped tuna. It was all amazing!
At the time of ordering desert, they brought out a platter showing all of their options (except Tiramisu) to choose from. Quite an inovative idea and well, irresistable. We had Tiramisu, Panna Cotta with Passion Fruit and Cheesecake. Again all really tasty! They also served it nicely on dry ice for the special effect.
Would definitely come back and recommend to visit!
