Tonson Mosque

มัสยิดนี้ มีสาขาอีกถึง 2 แห่ง บนถนนอิสรภาพ เป็นสุสานปลายนา. มัสยิดต้นสนนี้คั้งขึ้นมาตั้งแต่สมัยกรุงศรีอยุธยา บรรจุร่างบุคคลสำคัญๆหลานท่าน เป็นมัสยิดเก่าแก่ที่สุดในกรุงเทพฯ.

Beautiful. Regarded as one of Bangkok's oldest Masjids. Extremely hospital congregants

If you are a muslim and come to Bangkok please go and pray fard at this mosque. It is the oldest mosque in bangkok and almost 400 years old. The only people who pray there on weekdays are the man who takes care of the mosque and his son. The man was very happy to see visitors coming to pray here. Make the visit and support this historical masjid if you can!

The mosque is clean, the place for ablution is also good, but unfortunately there is no lid yet, and it is quite spacious. I'm happy to be able to pray here

Not much to see here. Place was locked up on a Thursday afternoon and there was no one around. Ĝ

I went to pray the jumuaa during my vacation in Bangkok and everyone was very kind to me. I was served food and I talked a lot with the Hajj.

Dont miss this if you are visiting the Arun Wat. Very close to the Arun Wat. 7mins walk under the bridge.

I got to pray Zohar in the Masjid. Alhumdulillah very peaceful environment inside and outside the masjid.

This Mosque also has historic importance as well.

There is separate arrangement for female prayer.

10 minutes walk from Wat Arun, Alhamdulillah there is this place to worship Allah SWT.no donation box hope they can provide QR Code to donate, place you can be relax after visiting Bangkok tourism spot. The gate always close but not locked actually the mosque is open.

Old Masjid Expect built more than 300 years ago. In the old capital of Siam, Thonburi. Can walk from Wat Arun 5 min.
There are also Grave yard of Muslim Navy Commander and Chularajmontri who served in the Kingdom of Siam for many generation.

Such a peaceful masjid, near wat arun, you only walk around 5 minutes to get this Masjid

The closest mosque to Wat Arun. Clean mosque and clean toilets. The location is a little into the alley.

This is a Muslim area in Bangkok, and you can find much Halal food near the Mosque, It’s really worth for Muslim travelers.

My family will travel to bangkok in the middle of december 2018.
The first we must visit Wat Arun temple.
I try to search at the goggle map of the mosque/masjid around Wat arun.
SUPRISE.it turns out there is a historic mosque 500 meters from Wat Arun temple.
I like finding priceless treasures,
Alhamdulillah and these tears immediately flowed on my face.

This mosque was first built in 1688 during reign of King Narai under the name of Kudi Yai. It was a teak structure on a raised platform with a terracotta roof. It now is called Ton Son mosque. It has the same layout as a Buddhist hall.

Very beautiful mosque, I attended Friday prayer here, the timing of the prayer is 12: 45 PM.
It is walking distance from Wat Arun, only 5 mins walking. However if you are near Grand Palance and Wat Pho, then you have to take the ferry boat to come to the other side of the lake. The ferry cost is about 3 baht, Wat Arun exist on the same side of the mosque.

It is the nearest mosque from Wat Arun, you only need walk around 10 minutes for doing your pray. You must follow the road until the end of the road. So you will find it.

And the shock news is this is one of historical building in thailand. This place is good for rest and pray before we continue for our tour in Thailand.

By walk 5 minutes from Wat Arun. I felt so much peace visiting here, really didn't wish to leave but had to. Well maintained by the authorities. The main hall is very beautiful with good infrastructure. Parking is limited. If you visit any masjid, please donate generously for the development and to run the expenses. It's sadqa e jariah (on going charity) even after death.

I like this place. It's a walking distance place from Wat Pho. There were some friendly Muslim staffs hang around the Mosque too. So this place is categorized as a historical building cause this was built like a really long time ago. I saw the signage and was like shocked. If u have spare time and wanna have islamic mosque tour in Bangkok, you should come here!
