The Friese-Greene Club reviews
30A very special place in the heart of Bangkok featuring art house films, friendly conversation, craft beer and Thai favorites.
Nice spot to gather for the Bangkok film group. Good craft IPA on tap at good prices. It's located in a small alley near the red light district
First time for me to visit and spend time in the company of true professionals from the film industry. This place is run by a really passionate owner who has pretty much dedicated his life to the world of making great imagery. I hope to get there again sometime soon.
Cozy, intimate, atmospheric, that's how I would describe this place, a great place to watch movies like at home but with a big screen. I highly recommend it
Lovely intimate film career themed lounge. Limited menu but they offer food from other venues nearby. Quiet with lots of film noir literature, so don't expect entertainment, but there are a few characters about, including the owner. Private so you need to pay a small fee to join, or come with a member.
A cool little film club. It is set in an old house down a quiet soi. It shows retro films. Each level of the house has a large screen tv with a 15 seat theatre style screen at the very top. It's a good place to watch a film with a group of friends. Food is brought in from the muslim restaurant next door and is very good. They have a bar with the basic beers and alcohols.
What an extraordinary place! Another hidden gem in Bangkok. We didn't get the chance to watch a film as we arrived late, but chatting with the owner, the charismatic Paul was utterly compelling.
I can't wait to go back.
Cool hidden gem. Private movie screening bar with weekly movies. Inexpensive bar and local snacks.
Awesome little movie club dry in a small alley off soi 22. Friendly community of regular expats, fab old school decor and theatre. Good selection of movie classics as well as being the best place to catch screenings of fans of thrones!
What a gem! Tucked away on a side soi of Sukhumvit 22, this is a must for film buffs! You have to visit to really be able to appreciate the wonderful atmosphere - a calm oasis in the middle of the bustle of a busy city. The long-island ice tea is the best I have ever had and very reasonably priced. The food, mainly Thai, is good and also well-priced.
