The Bamboo Bar

Beautiful bar in a first class hotel. Unfortunately, it's far too cold to endure any longer. The cocktails are good according to the high standard. The service is excellent when it comes to orders. At the end, the desired bill was held in front of our eyes for a moment, but then immediately taken back with the credit card to be charged and then only the credit card was returned. The corresponding receipts were only brought after request. And that's not first class.

I’ve been in this place five or six times in the last four months all are at night. Great atmosphere, nice cocktails, and awesome music band. However, my last visit I was rejected to be seated because I was wearing short even though it was formal! It wasn’t my first to come here with shorts and never ever anybody mentioned my attire! I have full respect to any policy, what I don’t understand is having different standers to apply such policy. I talked to the bar manager Chanel Adams about the situation and she lied about how strict the policy is, even though she personally welcomed me is shorts just two days before without mentioning any thing about it!
Anyway highly recommended to visit the place but don’t deal with Chanel.

Great bar as always. Good cocktails.

This time the bartender was a bit combative when we asked him to make a drink we had there many times before. I explained it to him what’s in there, just a classic cocktail with two ingredients changed but he wanted me to show him a whole recipe, which I did to him saying “oh just swap two ingredients”.

Cocktails came out great.

Found it shocking that a small water was the same price as a cocktail. 9 usd for a small water in Thailand is insanity.

Overall a great bar, one of the best in Bangkok.

Eclectic Refined Atmosphere! Great soulful music! Outside / Inside and Even a Cigar Smoking Room.

Would recommend an inside seating to enjoy the live jazz music and soak in the atmosphere with diverse range of people sitting around

Love the menu with its explanations. Great cocktails. The single malt whisky choices are relatively basic and needs improvement to fit the image of this classy bar.

Nice ambience with a live jazz performance. Drinks were pretty strong which is always a plus.

The food could definitely be better but I’m assuming most people are here for the music and drinks.

However do note there’s a dress code (we couldnt go the first time we wanted to) long pants and covered shoes

Fabulous ambience and very professionally made drinks, there is often a good band playing. Anti Covid cocktails such as penicillin available.

A classy and timeless jazz bar at my fav hotel in bkk. No table booking available and the band gets bigger and bigger as it is closer to the weekend. Suggest to do an early dinner nearby or at the mandarin and go secure a table afterwards to enjoy a nice time.

First couple of times, I wasn’t in pressed that much. But the more I visited, the more I like its service, music and vibe. Last time I visited takeover event by Korean bar, it was an interesting night, too.

A very nice bar that we went to after work for drinks with colleagues. We also had a very nice selection of snack food which was very tasty.
One thing you need to know is the dress policy. You MUST wear long trousers after 6: 30pm chaps
The drinks selection is incredible and the cocktails and mocktails are very good too.

If you are a jazz fan or would simply like to enjoy tasty unique drinks, this is a must-go place.

The decoration / ambiance is exceptional, very cozy. The service is amazing, the staff is very helpful and provide good recommendations. The live performance was great. The singer was from the US and I guess she was on a tour. They dont take reservations on weekends, hence I suggest to go a bit early.

I will definitely visit again.

Not exactly impressed. We only had two cocktails, and they were fine, but charging 330 Thb for a bottle of drinking water along some of Bkk‘s highest priced Cocktails seems a bit unnecessary. There’s comparable high-end establishments, like Four Seasons‘ Social Club, where you can see how it should be done.

On a rainy day the best place to be in Bangkok. So much better than the overpriced rooftop bars like Sky Bar at Lebua.
We enjoyed great service (by Lovely Sulaymaniyah), beautiful jazz music and decent classic drinks. Food is also recommendable.
Will definitely come back, not only on rainy days ;-)

Luxurious experience! Decor is all bamboo and exotic woods. Drinks were satisfying. Service is top notch. Bamboo bar is located inside the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and the views from the waterfront are spectacular. Highly recommend

I love this place. I love the live jazz performance and ambient here. Staffs are super nice and the drinks are tasty too. Too bad they don't carry infused gins any more due to government regulation.

Stunning place located inside the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Cocktails are great and the ambiance is relaxed and calm. There's a dresscode all but the first few open hours so shorts are not going to cut it for a later drink. The signature cocktails are subtle and just wonderful.

Wonderfully elegant and sophisticated bar! The decor is very nice and the drinks were expertly prepared. The happy hour is a great way to get a well made cocktail without the heavy price tag.

Staff were very professional and friendly and took care of all our needs. All that we dealt with spoke good English and were polite. I loved it and would come back and recommend for all who can afford the prices.

I am not afraid to pay high prices for a Martini, but it has to be a special one. For instance a Martini at Duke Hotel in London worth every pound. Not at the Bamboo Bar, where I got a very simple Martini cocktail, with Bombay Gin, at unreasonable price

The atmosphere here really the best in town. Live classic jazz music by great musicians definitely the highlight of this place. Cocktails here using Thai spirits like iron balls gin (must order) and chalong bay rum.

The best bar for a jazz in BKK. Nice atmosphere, professional bartenders and super nice cocktails. A price is quite high but acceptable. If you are a big fan of jazz please do not miss here.

Love the atmosphere there so much. Highly recommend for Jazz - lover, nice and cosy place to chill. The waiter is really friendly and well manner. There is a free boat from the hotel to Iconsiam and other place opposite the hotel as well.
