The Backpack Hostel

Stayed here for a few nights with friends and found this place is decent. Location wise, it is situated in the nearby chinatown and tourist attraction sites, so thats the upside. However the downside will be it is not that nearby public transport and the building is placed on the alley which even local (i.e. Tuktuk driver) not aware of the location. The host is friendly, but not always immediately available despite we have made calls to the stated mobile number. Facilities wise be it the room, shower and other facilities are decent just like any other hostel. Overall it is decent experiences which can be improved as per above feedback.

The best hostel experience I've had so far. The operators are super cute, they actually clean it all the time and small supplies including a microwave, toaster, etc.are free.
We arrived there in an emergency, since it was not possible to check in that early and we were completely exhausted and annoyed that we had been turned away everywhere. We were allowed in straight away and felt extremely comfortable from the first second. Had the whole room to ourselves and were partly the only ones in the hostel. It almost felt like our own cottage/home in this great, authentic area. For some who like backpacker hustle and bustle and exchange with other travelers maybe a little lonely or quiet. No party Bangkok but real life and lovely people. A bit far from bars, etc, but if you don't really care about that, you're in good hands here. Pleasant oasis in noisy, overstimulated Bangkok.
