Tara Garden

December 2022 (with update December 2023) :
This is the third time we have checked into TARA Garden. For us a pleasant hotel for the stopovers in Bangkok. The airport is very easy to reach, so it is conveniently located and yet quiet. You can easily get everything you need in the surrounding streets.
The pool and the Thai massage provide cooling and relaxation.
The rooms are clean and tidy.
The new, modern air conditioning works unobtrusively and allows for largely undisturbed sleep.
As a tip: put a towel in the bathroom window. You understand this immediately on site. ;-)
Breakfast in the attached restaurant is not expensive, but offers little variety.
In this price/performance class, the TARA deserves a real recommendation. The more expensive rooms including breakfast, currently priced at 990 baht, could be considered an insider tip.
I wouldn't want to spend a whole vacation here, but I would definitely want to spend two, three or more nights.

December 2023:
Exactly a year has passed and we checked into Tara Garden again for a few days.
So time for a new all-round look!
What stands out is the new color of the building. A shade of gray.
A decorative bar with a large terrace and extensive views was also opened on the sixth floor.
Craftsmen can often be seen (and now and then clearly heard) who are obviously busy with renovation work. Although there are no changes to the rooms that I know of.
The prices have not changed either. Just like the breakfast offer. You can now only prepare your breakfast coffee there. As much as you want. ;-)

There was something I missed, however, and that was a slant to be able to push heavy suitcases into the foyer. At night the staff is simply not there to provide appropriate support for late arrivals. And the stairs are a real challenge!

Small hotel, far away from everything, only good for stay over 1 night, rooms are very basic! Free parking, small food stands nearby

บริการแย่มาก โทรลงไปเคาท์เตอร์รับสายแต่ไม่พูดแล้ววางหูใส่พอโทรลงไปใหม่รอบนี้ตัดสาย บริการหน้าเคาท์เตอร์แย่พูดจาไม่ดี เทียบกับราคาและคุณภาพถือว่าแพง ของในห้องสกปรกแก้วน้ำไม่สะอาดมีคราบเปื้อน ที่นอนมีฝุ่นเหมือนทำความสะอาดครั้งสุดท้ายวันที่มาเก็บกวาดห้องของคนก่อนหน้า ทีวีก็ดูไม่ได้ ประตูห้องก็งงๆอยู่บางทีก็ไขได้บางครั้งก็ไขไม่ออก ทางเดินน่ากลัวไม่มีกล้องสักตัวโดนงัดได้ง่ายมากเพราะลูกบิดเก่ามากโดนรวมถือว่าแย่มากไม่เหมือนโรงแรมที่เคยเข้าพักเลย ส่วนเรื่องเสียงรบกวนติดลบ10 10 10 นะคะ ไม่มีความสงบ ได้ยินชัดทุกเสียง เสียงคนเดิน เสียงประตูข้างห้อง แม้กระทั้งเสียงจากแอร์ในห้อง (อันนี้ดังมากแทบทำให้นอนไม่หลับแอร์เก่าพาหลอนๆอยู่ในตอนกลางคืน) แต่หาของกินง่ายดีค่ะ

Nice hotel! I stayed in this hotel in April 2011, but I still remember it. Then the staff was nice and I liked the environment and the room where I stayed.

I rented a room for one month and the very friendly staff makes me a best price. The room is clean and bright with a good working AC. Room keeper are very friendly and helpful always. The restaurant from the hotel makes delicious meals and the pool is clean.
Around the hotel are many restaurants and shops and when you want drive with a taxi, just ask the beautiful front desk girls or use the "Grab" app.
I enjoyed my stay there and come back to 100 %.

Large rooms. No hairdryer. Water pressure is too weak. Clean place. Trusted.
They sent the items we forgot in the refrigerator by cargo.

โรงแรมค่อนข้างเก่ามาก แต่จัดว่าดี ได้ห้องที่ตกแต่งใหม่แต่ยังมีความเก่า ห้อง2308 ส้วมน้ำหยดตลอด แอร์เก่ามากติดๆดับๆเสียงดังนอนไม่หลับเพราะเสียงแอร์รบกวน มีสระว่ายน้ำโอเค และฟิสเนตเครื่องเล่นมีใช้ไม่ได้เพราะชำรุด (เฮ้อ) ต้องยกแต่ดุมเบลล์อย่างเดียว อาหารเข้ามีให้เลือกแค่3อย่างไม่อร่อยถ้าไม่คิดอะไรมากก็ไปกินข้างนอกชิวๆ โดยรวมใช่ได้เพราะราคาไม่แพง

เข้าพักที่นี่ 5 คืน ห้องพักดีและกว้างมาก สะอาด ประทับใจพนักงานหน้าฟร้อน และห้องอาหาร บริการดีช่วยเหลือดีมาก ใกล้ที่กินเยอะและ เซเว่นเดินไปได้สบาย

อาหารอร่อยหลายอย่าง ราคาไม่แพง จานใหญ่ ที่จอดรถยนต์ได้ประมาณ30คัน ห้องอาหารสามารถผลัดกันร้องเพลงคาราโอเกะได้

ลูกบิดประตูมีช่องที่เสี่ยงต่อการงัด ทางเดินไม่มีกล้องวงจรปิด ห้องน้ำเป็นอ่างอาบน้ำค่อนข้างสูง ผู้สูงอายุน่าจะลำบาก

The place is bigger and more formal than Angkor Pal. Some of the beds have bugs, though. For my first 2 nights, i ended up sleeping on the couch in the room. Good thing the conceirge agreed to move us to another room.

The hotel looks all good from the outside.and the recipient, staff and domestic cleners were nice, friendly and helpful. But the hotel rooms were a bit off a let down. There definitely could do with a very good refurbished. Old fashioned door locks, walls look dirty, ripped wallpaper, wire's sticking out, no switch near bed to turn off or on the light. No plugs near bed for charger your phone, bathroom has bath, instead off shower. Which makes it pretty difficult to get in and out. Shower is to low. Water splashing all over the bathroom floor, making it pretty dangerous to step out from to the bath on the the slippy wet floor. Air-conditioned is extremely loud and is not possible to but on silent run. Even at night. Plus it is extremely loud for traffic, as there are building the SkyTrain tracks at the moment. And it be properly 1-2 yes before completion. So, if you must go, don't face the road, if you fancy a fairly alright sleep? Plus, I have to say.the breakfast variety is pretty (extremely) poor. Probably the worst I seen in the many hotels I have been to in Thailand. And you need taxi or bus to get to any train station, as it is quite out to the nearest. Taxi about 100-130 at the most. Remember, taxi meter only. (start at 35 bath) bath or 44 bath.into bkk.

Such a good place to stay, I have been here for about a week. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I'm sure it will be even better once the are done with the finishing up remodel. The remodel didn't affect my stay at all. Enjoyed my time here and will stay here again when I come back.

Not bad. One block rooms are fully renovated. Seems good. Lift was looking old model. There is no Indian / Any other cuisine food option. Only Eleven 7 is there nearby walkable distance.

- สภาพห้องปานกลาง
- มีเก็บค่าประกันห้อง ประมาณ 3-4 ร้อย และจะได้คืนหากไม่ได้ทำอะไรเสียหาย

โดยรวมแล้วยังไม่ผ่านในด้านบริการ หากมีคะแนนติดลบให้ก็จะให้ติดลบ

จะเข้าพัก เช็คอินตอนเที่ยงคืน คือแบบไม่มีเงินสดจ่ายค่ามัดจำ พรักงานบอกว่าจะเอาเงินสด เงินสดอย่างเดียวลูกค้าเดินไปกดมาคับตู้อยู่ปากทาง พนักงานไล่ให้เดินไปกดเงิน ไกลก็ไกล มืดก็มืด ไม่คิดว่าโรงแรมระดับนี้จะไล่ลูกค้าไปกดเงิน แล้วที่สำคัญตอนเวลาเที่ยงคืน โอนจ่ายก็ไม่ได้ จ่ายบาร์โค๊ด ก็ไม่มี คืออะไร งง

Indecent bath, dirt, water leaks, tank with excrement inside and without water tight tent. Hot water not working. Breakfast without even an egg, undrinkable coffee, toast bread that looks fake. In short, totally negative experience. For a foreigner the price may seem good, but there are other places (mansion) that even at least offer cleaning.
