Tang Jai Yoo Restaurant

The food has been consistent at this original location. Gotta order Hong Kong Pig in advance. It's really worth it. Most of the dishes were quite exceptional and freshly made from fresh seafood. The team of staff was very attentive with a service mind. Grilled squid was brought in from the renowned street stall with a little help from serving ladies.

Very authentic thai Chinese food. Awesome! Try their suckling pig, baked olive rice, Chinese style sashimi, oyster eggs, deep fried prawn roll and braised shark fins soup is a must! Finish off with complimentary sweet yam bites and Chinese tea!

ร้านอาหารจีนแต้จิ๋วที่เก่าแก่มากๆ ชื่อร้านมีความแปลกและจำง่ายตั้งแต่เห็นชื่อเลย ทานตั้งแต่เด็กๆ และนั่งทานร้านข้าวแกงกะหรี่เอ็นเนื้อรถเข็นที่ตั้่งอยู่ข้างๆร้านบ่อยๆ จะเห็นชื่อร้านว่า ตั้ง ใจ อยู่ แบบว่าทางร้านน่าจะตั้ีงใจอยู่จริงๆถึงอยู่มาได้นานขนาดนี้ (ลองแปลชื่อร้านดู จะอ่านได้ว่า เฉินไจ่หยู่ ซึ่งแซ่ตั้งแบบแต้จิ๋วก็คือแซ่เฉินถ้าอ่านแบบจีนกลางแบบแมนดาริน) คิดว่าเป็นคำพ้องเสียงที่อ่านว่า ตั้งใจอยู่ในอย่างพอดิบพอดี

ร้านอาหารจะยังคงเหมือนเดิม โต๊ะตั้งกันเต็มพื้นที่จนแทบไม่มีทางเดิน คนก็เยอะมากๆ ส่วนใหญ่เป็นครอบครัวใหญ่เชื้อสายจีน เสียงก็จะดัง บรรยากาศแบบชาวจีนแท้ๆครับ ทางด้านคนเสริฟก็เก่าแก่กันเกือบทุกคน เลี้ยงพนักงานและน่าจะเชฟในครัวได้ค่อนข้างดีเพราะรสชาติอาหารยังคงไว้ดีมาก

หัวปลาเผือกหม้อไฟดีมาก เผือกหอมๆร่วนๆให้เยอะ ปลาสดเนื้อดี ทำจากปลาตัวใหญ่มากๆ มีความมันจากปลาค่อนข้างเยอะเลย และยังคงใช้ถ่านแบบดั่งเดิมซึ่งดีมาก เพราะอุ่นร้อนตลอดเวลาไม่เหมือนร้านสมัยใหม่ที่ใช้เจลแอลกอฮอล์ที่ใช้ได้แป๊บเดียว บางครั้งมีกลิ่นไม่พึงประสงค์ด้วย

บะหมี่ขาห่าน บะหมี่หอมอร่อย รสชาติดี ขาห่านตุ๋นเข้าเนื้อ นุ่มเนื้อร่อนจากกระดูกค่อนข้างง่าย ไม่เละจนเกินไป ยังมีความอะไรให้เราได้เคี้ยวๆอยู่ด้วยทั้งเนื้อ หนังและเอ็น

หูหมูเย็น จากน้ำซุปเคี่ยวหูหมูจนได้คอลลาเจนออกมาแล้วแช่เย็นเป็นเจล เข้าปากแล้วละเอียดสดชื่นไม่เลี่ยนและไม่เค็มไป มีกระดูกให้ได้เคี้ยวอีกต่างหาก

ออส่วน หอยตัวอวบใหญ่ แป้งผสมไข่ทำมาดีเลยมีความหอมแบบอ่อส่วนจีนๆดั่งเดิม ตินิดนึงที่ค่อนข้างมันไปหน่อย

แฮ่กื๋น เนื้อกุ้งเยอะ เด้งอร่อย รสชาติดีเลย ชิ้นใหญ่เหมือนกัน จากรูปอาจดูว่าเล็ก

เคยสั่งข้าวผัดปูก็อร่อยมาก ข้าวมีความร่วนเป็นเม็ดๆและเคลือบไข่อย่างดี ผัดแบบสไตล์จีนดั่งเดิมจริงๆ มีความหอมกระทะหอมไข่ เนื้อปูก็ให้เยอะสมราคา

ร้านอาหารอยู่ในซอยฝั่งถนนเยาวราช สังเกตุง่ายๆคือเลยร้านก๋วยจั๊บนายเอ็กซ์มานิดหน่อย ดูที่ป้ายร้านทอง ฮั่งเซ่งเฮง ป้ายสีเขียวใหญ่ๆ ก็เลี้ยวซ้ายที่ซอยถัดจากร้านทองได้เลย เข้ามาเล็กน้อยก็จะเจอร้านทางซ้ายมือ เลยร้านไปหน่อยตรงทางเลี้ยวซ้าย เราสามารถเลี้ยวขวาขึ้นไปจอดที่วัดชัยภูมิการามได้ มีที่จอดรถที่ชั้น 1-5 แต่ทางเข้าจะวุ่นวายหน่อยหรือจะจอดที่ I’m Chinatown แล้วเดินทะลุซอยแปลงนามมาฝั่งเยาวราชก็เดินไม่ไกล ค่าจอดชั่วโมงละ 40 บาท ซื้อของ 300 บาทจอดได้ 1 ชม. หรือ 600 บาทจอดได้ 2 ชม. ส่วนใหญ่ก็สอยสตาบัคสักหลายๆแก้วหน่อยก็สแตมป์บัตรจอดได้ละ

Boisterous restaurant full with locals. We had delicious seafood dishes and it would be a five star if the vegetables (bean sprouts) were more fresh and tender.

We enjoyed all the foods we ordered! Super delicious, is a must try when coming to Bangkok. Remember to call for table reservations.

Although many places in Bangkok's Chinatown has changed for the worse, due to their adjustment to accommodate tourists, and have thus lost their quality, Tang Chai Yoo is one of the place that's still very good. This is an authentic Chinese restaurant that is especially good on seafood, though they are quite good overall. Our favorites are boiled shrimps, steamed crabs, fried oysters, and steamed goby fish in soy sauce.

I've tried almost every chinese reatuaeant in Yaowarat
for me this place is the best.authentic chinese food

"ตั้งใจอยู่" (อยู่ชั้น 2) ภัตตาคารอาหารจีนชื่อดังในเยาวราช อยู่ในซอยตรงข้ามห้างทอง "ฮั่วเซ่งเฮง" เยื้องๆ พูดถึงอาหารเหลาต้องยกให้ร้านนี้เลย การันตรีได้จากความอร่อยเพราะเปิดให้บริการอาหารมายังยาวนานกว่า 65 ปี จากรุ่นสู่รุ่น เมนูแนะนำ หัวปลาเผือก, เผือกหิมะ, ปลาดิบจีน, แฮกึน พนักงานบริการดี เจ้าของร้านใจดี บริการเป็นกันเองและใส่ใจลูกค้ามากๆ

Food is ok, but quite expensive for what you get. Lots of other options around that are probably better value.

We got the suckling pig. The skin was crispy but under seasoned. The meat was delicious, with bbq and garlic flavor. Crab fried rice was charred to perfection. I found the pig to be overpriced compared to other suckling pig in the area, so minus 1 star.

Service was speedy and reasonably attentive but the msg-laden food was a let down, especially the shark's fin.

More importantly, they accept cash only.

Taste is good and the place is air-conditioned. Price wise is on a higher side for locals. Price starts at 300 baht for vege small size to 400 baht for medium size oyster omelette and 400 baht for sweet n sour chicken medium size. So do expect 1500-2000 baht dining if your company is 4-5 pax and that exclude seafood dishes.

One of the best chinese restaurants in China town Bangkok. This place is very popular. It serves traditional chinese dishes. The restaurant is located just a block from MRT Wat Mangkorn (Drangon Temple). It is relatively small and crowded but it is the charm and signature of this place. Its food is excellent. There is no parking lot and it accepts only cash. Reservation is recommended.

Overhyped restaurant that is NOT authentic Teochew at all! Being a true blue Teochew myself, this restaurant is worse than the worst Teochew restaurant I have eaten in Singapore.
They do not have the Teochew steaming style pomfret (潮式蒸) with just clear soup base and sour plum. All their steamed fish are with a brown sauce. The fish head steamed boat soup is also brown coloured, loaded with soy sauce and MSG. Fish head and it’s meat are very tough like rock fish (Teochew said ‘lou kou’). The oyster omelette is very generous with its loads of oysters but not enough batter and omelette, so very ’jerlak’, u just do not want to eat anymore.
The prawns vermicelli took forever to come and was way too salty!
Only the crab fried rice is not bad.
Food very salty and full of MSG.
4 dishes for 2200 baht, not cheap according to Thai standard.
Service is non existent. Like Kopitiam style.
Not worth travelling all the way there for
this restaurant.
