Supanniga Eating Room reviews
50I really enjoyed this restaurant. The view from the outdoor seating on the rooftop is amazing, and they also offer airconditioned indoor seating if you prefer. The manager, Praew, was amazingly helpful. Our first night, they were fully booked. We waited for a table after 8pm, and fortunately there was a last minute cancellation. They were out of our first couple of choices for appetizers, entrees and dessert. We ended up ordering dishes that we would not normally have tried, and they all were delicious. We made a reservation for the next night and pre-ordered the items that we missed out on the first night. It did not disappoint on the second night either. Thank you again Praew for all of your help and recommendations! I am looking forward to visiting again on my next trip to Bangkok.
Five days in Bangkok, the most delicious and missed dishes ~
On a hot afternoon, I was very lucky to be arranged by the riverside window of the air-conditioned room on the first floor. While dining, I admired Temple Arun on the other side. I really enjoyed it!
It is recommended that when making a reservation, you should inquire about the location first to avoid being placed in the outdoor area on the second floor at noon, which will be very hot!
The service staff speak fluent English, are friendly and proactive. They have dishes with chili peppers and will ask if chili peppers are acceptable.
It is recommended to add a little or not to add it because it is really spicy~
But very delicious!
After the meal, have a plate of mango sticky rice, perfect!
Next time I come to Bangkok, I want to experience twilight dining.
We come back every time we’re in BKK. Sat at the rooftop. It gets a bit warm but superb food, friendly service, nice atmosphere. Temple across the water is lit up at night, made for a great night out.
We happened upon this restaurant by chance and were super happy we did. The welcome was friendly, the food was fantastic and the view is one of a kind! Highly recommended! Be warned if you order spicy you get spicy
Nestled along the Chao Phraya River, Supanniga Eating Room (Tha Tien brand) offers a stunning view of Wat Arun. The restaurant comprises two levels, offering a choice of indoor and rooftop seating. Every dish was pretty unique and impressive, and that's why they have consistently made it into the Michelin Guide for several years. The staff and service were super friendly.
Poor service ever! I and my family went for a dinner and it is a special day (Birthday!). What a poor service from their staffs. Your staffs came to work or just want to do chitchat at bar. I shouted and even waved my hand at them but no one pay any attention. How come you have got the Michelin? You are not deserve it at all.
Wow what a unique setting to watch the sunset! And the food did not disappoint. We were very lucky to get a table so I recommend reserving beforehand
We came for breakfast and enjoyed it a lot. The staff is super friendly and you have a direct view on Wat Arun.
Walked-in and got lucky cause someone didn’t show up. Lots of tourist want an outdoor table. I would recommend for indoor dining. You still can enjoy Thai cuisine with the view whilst indoor.
Food is superb with the best service! I ordered both spicy and mild food for foreigner friends. They really love it. All the dishes are so good except Phad Thai. I wish they could add more presentation and the taste is kinda blended as I’m a local. The rest is so good! I still recommend all my friends to go for dinner!
Recommendations: Book in advance to get a table! And don’t be late! Not over 15 mins! You might miss this food and the view!
They received us without a booking. Accommodated is to the best of their abilities and served delicious food. No complaints other than the food took about 35min to prepare (it was not a lot, only 2 dishes) but they were quite busy on a Sunday night. I’ll come back for sure
They provide Tasty dishes (Pad Thai with Crab toppings is strongly recommended) and immaculate view overlooking Wat Arun. They lost one star because apparently the outdoor area is prohibited from smoking.
Popular place with both locals and tourists. It was crowded when I was there on a Friday night. Expect slower service and reservations is highly recommended.
Perfect place for dinner with my family during their vacation time. There are indoor and outdoor seating, so we don’t have to worry about raining during our dinner. I’d recommend to call to reserve a great view table in advance.
Just came back from here - was a total mess. They seemingly have zero provision for potential rain if you have booked deck seating. We were forced to leave our dinner - some of which remained and take shelter downstairs. Absolutely no place to sit so we made do with standing at the foot of the stairs with customers/staff squeezing past us as best they could. Unfortunately I had my elderly parents with us and my father cannot stand unassisted for too long. No staff came to help us without us first asking for a spare chair at least. To top this off one of our dishes still hadn’t arrived after close to 45mins since first ordering it - and it was only ordered because the staff waiting on our table had specifically recommended it. When we asked for the bill just so we could get the hell out there the staff seemed relieved that we were happy to cancel that particular dish. This on top of having to wait a considerable amount of time for some of our food to arrive anyway. We should have at least been compensated or offered some discount for this disaster of a meal but no - we had to pay full price minus the canceled dish. Will not be returning.
A delicious Thai restaurant. From the deck on the top floor, you can see the appearance of Wat Arun and enjoy the changing scenery while dining.
You can adjust the spiciness of orthodox Thai food to your liking, so even if you don't like spicy food, it's okay.
I learned here that Thai food and wine go well together.
It's on Michelin star list of restaurants in Bangkok. If you're taking the MRT train, get off at Samyot MRT Station and it's around 10 minutes walk. You can enjoy the amazing view of Wat Arun while dining in. To get a better spot, you have to book in advance as it gets crowded during weekends.
The view was good, depending on your seating location.
Food was sub par. Most of the dishes we ordered pack flavour and a lot of items on the menu were not available despite we being here at 12: 30pm.
However, one of the appetiser was fabulous. (Refer to the photo)
