Sunrise Tacos reviews
61I enjoyed a nice brunch at this place and my experience was fantastic.food, friendly servers (kate), music and amazing location right in silom downtown.
Amazing food and drinks. We went 2 days in a row because it was so delicious. Happy hours for wine and beer is from 12-2pm. 100Bath for beer or house wine. Price is very reasonable and staff is beyond helpful and welcoming. Very recommended if you're craving Mexican food while visiting Bangkok.
I spend my birthday at this great Mexican restaurant. The staff is super friendly. And the chef know how to make a good steak with fries burrito. Highly recommended it for the food and staff.
Great little tex mex restaurant in Silom. Had Fautas, quesedillas and a burrito and it all tasted delicious and authentic. The Margaritas were tasty and balanced, too, and prepared with premium 100% agave tequila. Service is very attentive - they made sure nothing is served too spicy as I can't handle it. If you want to try some Mexican in Bangkok, give this restaurant a try!
Best Mexican food in the whole of Bangkok. Staff is well trained and polite. I had the Chips & Guacamole with a side dish of Golden Sunrise with a beer. Excellent to start the night out. Plenty of bars around nearby and also Patpong Night Market is next door so you can go do some shopping afterwards.
This place is really good they have different unlimited sauces for everything.
Staffs are really accommodating they are always smiling and they have a perfect service.
Your money is worth it here
Top of the heap, Mexican food. Excellent service with nice ambient. The owner is so friendly, greeting customers herself, not to mention any one free disk on your BD. One of the best Mexican in town in my opinion.
Sunrise Tacos is great. The Chips n Dip starter is a must, the salsa dip is Hot or super hot, I have stopped eating the super hot, the hot is enough these days. I recommend the burritos, big enough for 2. Friendly staff, Sukhumvit Soi 13 branch at Margarita Storm is open all night.
Sunrise tacos have consistently showed their care for customer and food quality. They have been consistent with serving delicious food and also customize it to your dietary preference. I have been a regular customer and go there once a month at least. Despite the majority of customers eating non vegetarian food they have kept ample of vegetarian options open and it taste really good. Sunrise tacos has always been a good experience and the staff make it better with their service and smile.
Great atmosphere and service, some of the finest taco's I've ever enjoyed. The salsa bar is so neat, what a variety! Friend and I were so impressed we returned the day after with another friend.
Had been craving tacos for a while after being in Asia for 2 months and this was just the place to go! The pineapple salsa and other salsa from the serve yourself salsa bar was great. I liked the options to customize tacos too! The appetizer size guacamole was pretty small for the price but it was delicious overall.
Sunrise Tacos was such a welcoming place. The staff really made us feel at home and was very attentive. I got the bottomless tacos on Tuesday and every single one was so delicious and fresh. I wish my stomach would've been bigger for more! Who would've thought I'd have the best tacos I ever had in Thailand! Plus, the pie we got with the bottomless tacos was also amazing. We tried the pumpkin and apple. Highly recommend to anyone in Bangkok who wants fresh, delicious food and a great, welcoming staff.
TOTALLY OVERPRICED!
If you don't look at the small print, then you will miss that to the already high price they add serving fee and tax. So, for a small coke (that I pay 10-15 Bath for at my local restaurant) they charge 70 Baht!
For comparison, I come from Sweden, one of the most expensive countries in the world.but it would still be cheaper to eat the same food at a Mexican restaurant in Sweden!
Regarding to the food:
they have a salsa bar, but between in reality not much variety between most of the different salsas.
The taste of the food was OK, but frankly, any flavor came from the salsas (and as I already said, most salsas tasted pretty much the same.).
Response to owners response:
A can of Coke is 15 Baht at 7-11, at BigC you can get the cans for 13.50 Baht (that's their normal price, they have sale now so they are 11 Baht), those are retail prices and the wholesale price you pay should be lower than that.
So, with your price and what you are saying, you are basically comparing yourself with Jamie's Italian in Siam Discovery (85 Baht + tax and serving fee for a coke)! And you are marking up your coke more than Savelberg (1* in the Michelin Guide) marks up their alcohol!
And just as a comparison, today I ate my lunch at a small local restaurant that is owned and operated by a Thai who used to work under Wolfgang Puck in Las Vegas, and yes, I payed more than the 10-15 Baht that most local restaurants charge. I payed 20Baht!
Regarding your salsas:
Avocado salsa - a real proper guacamole would be more tasty than your avocado salsa, it tasted like you had just put an avocado and water (I guess you use ice) trough a blender as it was really not much taste or texture to it, it was more like green, watery substance.
Pineapple salsa - you don't really change much of the taste just by adding pineapple to an already existing salsa.
Some thing that was marked as salsa looked and tasted like ketchup.
And I could make the list go on!
And just because something is spicy doesn't make it tasty, for example, my ghost peppers and Carolina Reapers are just hot and not really that tasty to eat!
The food is A+ and also the size of meals is large. Price not too cheap but still reasonable. Service is slow.
Pretty good Mexican. I come from Florida where I can get real Mexicans and Puerto Ricans to make me authentic Mexican and Hispanic food, but I am on vacation here in Bangkok and the food at Sunrise Tacos is good. It reminds me a lot of Moe's Southwest Grill back in the States. They have a salsa bar that is nice. Good service and a nice place to eat.
The staff and tge manager is always attentive. We've been coming back everyday. It's the best ambiance and service!
Nice range with economical options
like 12 flavour options of guacomole with chilli on a pile! Of cornchips
Very great menu for mex, but its Silom Rd shopping so bring your billfold, with a 500 baht note
I head to this place in Silom whenever I am in the mood for some Mexican. The food is really tasty and the chips with guacamole and dips simply fabulous. They serve the chips hot.it's so good! The tacos and fajitas are delicious and the grilled chicken breast with salad is a winner!
Awesome service and great food. Been coming to Bangkok for years and seen this restaurant but today was a true great experience
The one on Soi 4 used to be great
Now the staff womt communicate and let you sit forever. No hospitality!
