2 Every now and then you stumble on a restaurant and meal concept that makes you go "wow, someone with talent and ingenuity came up with this great idea.and is executing it with aplomb! " During our most enjoyable dinner, we were to learn that Chef Ruj Krongthong of the Stock Room at Kimpton Bangkok is such a (visionary) Chef.
The social media algorithms brought us to Stock Room to try their 90 minute all you can eat (the record was 6 burgers as of the time of our visit - we managed half that) custom order Stock burger "buffet. " Our immediate thought was "brilliant idea, but surely the quality and details would be lacking. " We were wrong and as soon as we met Chef Ruj to discuss details the gluten free bun we knew we were in for something special - and learned that each of the burger selections (there are many pre-designed creations or you can design your own from a checklist at your table) are made to order using high quality ingredients and prepared with a lot of love. The various bun options are baked daily (potato buns are gems for any burger - the famous Shake Shack uses potato buns) as well as the mayo sauces are made in-house from scratch. Quality is the name of the game as Chef ensures that the creations are out of the ball park super tasty awesome.
Spectacular idea, superb taste, very warm service and a medal to Chef Ruj for coming up with the idea and not cutting corners as he executes his superb vision to world-class standards. AWESOME and well done Chef!
