Sri Trat Restaurant reviews
25I like the dishes I chose but found those recommended by the staffs taste too sweet for me. Overall, nice service and good food.
The staffs are really friendly and honest. Fried noodle is delicious and I wanna try the other food
Lots of unusual, even unique dishes here. Dishes are flavour packed, if a little too sweet. Cocktails are excellent. Three pages of vegetarian dishes. The vego Lon was especially good.
Michelin star restaurant.
I found it on maps and went in without making a reservation. I went in because it was early.
Massaman curry has a wonderful richness and aroma.
The sautéed cabbage was also simple but delicious.
The garlic shrimp and three large shrimp were all dishes that were more than the price.
This is a store I definitely want to visit again.
Thank you for the meal.
Had to return a yum dish so that the cook could spice it up as it was rather bland. We were 5 people ordering 8-9 dishes. All dishes were very good except these 2. Desserts were rather small in portion. Service was impeccable from the different staff who attended our table. Hats off to them. We would definitely return. There is no parking space though there is valet assistance.
A great Thai restaurant serving Eastern Thai cuisine. I took my friends there and everyone was impressed with the food, service and atmosphere. Even grilled mushroom is delicious!
Although the price is quite high but I can tell you that it's so worth it. Some menu can't be easily found in ordinary Thai restaurants. Well-done!
Food was great and the portions really big. Only giving four stars as the AC made me uncomfortably cold, but I suppose that's personal preference. But our whole table of 5 were freezing, so it does seem a bit too cold.
I think this is one of the best Thai food restaurants in Sukhumvit area. When a dish of cabbage cooked with simple sauce came, I was hopeless… but the taste was very good. Other dishes were also delicious. Service was good and staffs were very responsive. Parking is valet. You park right next to the restaurant and a staff will take your car to somewhere nearby. I will repeat when my friend comes from abroad.
Authentic nouveau riche is what my friend says it is, and it tastes like it. Bartender was asked to look at my face and make me a drink, he delivered perfectly.
Wonderful menu: its contents and message (s) within were beautiful mood setters for the traditional and refined food they offer. While we did do takeaway, we also took a monent to see what we could of the restaurant, and it is elegantly designed in a rustic, charming, old-fashioned way. Regarding the price: while it may be more expensive than other foods in Thailand, it's far cheaper than what I'm used to in Canada, where it's normal to order a dinner dish for maybe $18 (lower end) to $40 (or more) CAD—so for an upper-end restaurant: prices were roughly 1/3 to 1/4 what I would pay at home in Canada. The food was delicious even after taking roughly 30-45mins to get home and settled in; though I imagined it would have been even more delicious should we have had it fresh and hot out the kitchen () immersed in Sri Trat's ambiance with polite and attentive staff on hand. I'd love to bring friends and family here in the future, so I hope this restaurant will continue prospering. Cheers.
Amazing food, amazing vibe. Do make a reservation.
This resto will give u a memorable experience through its food and interior setting. It’s casual yet intimate.
Everything we ordered was great but our favourites: betel leaf, Tom yum soup fried fish salad. Cocktails are creative and delicious.
Food was absolutely amazing. We had a wonderful time & we had the most lovely hostess (in purple, while the rest were in blue) serving us that afternoon - she was so warm, had the best suggestions, anticipated our every thought (she knew we needed extra rice even before we said it) & checked in on us regularly whenever we weren't stuffing our faces. One of the best places to eat at in Bangkok.
(Visited Jan22) Decent cocktails and average tasting food (non-spicy), where most dishes are spicy. Variety of Thai inspired cocktails to choose from with coconut, pineapple and lime.
Signature stir fried noodles with soft shell crab (7/10)
Basically pad thai noodles with a side of soft shell crab. The softshell crab very delicious. It was coated in a light, fluffy batter that reminded me of slightly toasted bread. Wasn’t a fan of their stir-fried noodles, although fragrant, it was rather dry and coated with ketchup.
Thai appetizer platter (7/10)
Hits and Misses. Consists of spring rolls, crispy taro, homemade tofu, pork neck and chicken wings with lemongrass. Definitely enjoyed the marinated, flavourful pork neck, and crispy taro. Didn’t appreciate the fried tofu. The other items were average.
Cocktails ordered: Salacca fizz, Bussaba Pomegranate
Everything was yummy! Especially love their mung bean ball in coconut milk dessert (apparently not easy to find!)
Best when you dine with a bigger group who wants to try everything on the menu. Friendly service crew who is happy to explain the dishes. We didn't enjoy the dessert that much. Other than that, the rest is excellent.
Superb dishes with great cocktails. Advance reservation is very required unless you want to be disappointed
We really did not like the food. We ordered:
1. Barracuda salad - the dressing was kind of sweet. It’s like ok. 3/5.2. Soft shell Crab with noodles - only the crab was good. The noodles were rice noodles, basically a badly made pad thai with no egg and is kind of over cooked lacked the stretchiness in rice noodles that we normally got from good pad thai’s. 2/5
3. Fried fish I forgot which style but I hated fried fishes to begin with and theirs did not change my mind. Just… fried dry fish… sauce was too sweet, don’t know what else to tell you. NOT GOOD! Not worth eating. Not worth my time, my stomach space, not worth the calories intake, the carb intake. NOTHING!
1/5
4. Steak. Which was also known as Thai wagyu. Sounds good, right? Wasn’t wagyu at all…. So tough, I couldn’t even chew some of the pieces. 0/5!
Terrible experience… at least it wasn’t over priced. But so not worth my limited vacation time here.
