Sitara Place Serviced Apartments and Hotel

This is a cost-effective accommodation that I have often used for a long time. A very satisfactory service apartment when staying in Bangkok for a month or a long stay. Short-term stays are good, but there is a separate monthly fee, so many people stay long-term. The rooms are large and comfortable. There is a washing machine on each floor, so you don't have to go outside with your laundry. I plan to use it often in the future.

This is my favorite place to stay every time I come to Bangkok! The hotel itself is in a beautiful local neighborhood and very centric to many of the trendy night markets and some really good shopping centers.

They also have a nice tuktuk service that is free, which takes you from the hotel to the MRT station.

I will always make this my number one spot to stay when in Bangkok!

The Indian owners are not very polite. If you can find a Thai owner, I would find that hotel

there are roaches everywhere in the room and then the owner say you’re welcome to Bangkok.
Definitely avoid staying here at all cost. The owners think they are better than everyone.

Updated response to owner saying that I was sexist and rude. I asked for extra bedsheets, or if I could wash bedsheets and his wife said no you cannot wash the bedsheets. We get them done professionally. Do not believe these people. They are very very bad people. Thanks you

A very clean, spacious and well-maintained serviced apartment, that is located within a residential neighborhood, where you have access to many varieties of cheap local food and many 7-11 stores within walking distance from the apartment. As it is situated away from the main road, the environment is quiet and peaceful, however occasionally do expect some inconsiderate residents who will slam their door so hard that it can be heard throughout the entire property.

Washing machines are provided at all levels, while you will find dryers on alternate floor. Washing cost 30 baht per wash, and 50 baht for drying. You will have to provide your own detergent.

The property is located in between two MRT stations, Thailand Cultural Centre and Phra Ram 9. A casual walk between the apartment and either one of the MRT station takes about 10 minutes. The property also provides one way tuk tuk shuttle from the apartment to Phra Ram 9 station, but there is a waiting period.

The security staff and cleaning team are friendly and polite. The cleaning team comprises of two staffs in each team thus they will properly clean the room daily without fail, including making the beds, changing of towels, sweeping and mopping the floor and balcony too.

There are bugs in the room which is on the 7th floor. The bugs are Plaster Bagworms, that thrives in warm and humid climates. Although they are harmless but can be a nuisance, because they are crawling all over the floor and you might end up stepping on them without realising. I can easily picked up at least 3-5 or more of such bugs each day.

One of the reception staff can be rude at times, as she doesn't understand English well when spoken normally, thus becoming impatient and irritated, which can be seen on her face.

Overall my stay was great, and I will definitely continue to stay here in my future visits to Bangkok, and will even recommend to my friends and family too.

Frankly, I’m surprised they have such a high rating. I’ve stayed in much nicer apartments in BKK for the same price.
I should say, it’s quite clean, the bed is big, wifi is good speed and stable. Oh, and you get water every day.
Now to the downside.
1. Hard to sleep. The doors are made of cardboard, the building has a big atrium with all the doors opening into it. So if one of the tenants, from any of the 8 floors, comes home at 2 a.m, it will echo through the whole building. Goodbye, sleep.
2. The kitchen. Technically, it exists. There is a microwave and a fridge and you can ask for a cooktop and pan at the reception. But! The kitchen sink is in the balcony, no electric outlets there. So every time you cook you have to go back and forth across the room which makes cooking basically not an option.
3. Coin-operated laundry. I strongly advise you against using it. The washing machines seem to have never been cleaned. Clothes come out dirtier that they had been.
4. The young girl at the reception and the owner seem to be the only staff members caring. Older reception ladies don’t even care to say hello.
5. Bunch of ants in places where I couldn’t possibly have left my food (under the tv box, on the walls).
Overall, ok to crush for couple days, don’t recommend for long stay

We stayed here for a week and I can't say any negative feedback to them. From customer service to cleanliness, and peace. PERFECT place to be. They have a FREE ride to the train station from 8am to 5pm, free 2 bottles of water everyday, maintain cleanliness EVERYDAY - yes, they will clean your room everyday, they have an washing machine on each floor for only 30 baht, Indian owners can speak English very well so not difficult to communicate. They also provide tips for the best places to visit and guide you on how to get there. Thanks SITARA! We'll book you for sure next time we visit Thailand ;) Kapunka

The staff is very warm and friendly. Located in the nice suburbs of Din Daeng area, it has plenty of places around if you're looking to stay a bit longer.

The bar above Amazon cafe is close by and has live music everyday. Good food and good vibes.

Korean bbq, walking distance from the hotel. Must try.

I have known this place for several years and I am always very happy to come back here. Sunil and his team will always do everything they can to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The studio is very comfortable with a beautiful decoration and the room service is very efficient. They bring water, coffee, toilet paper and kitchen paper. The television seems new and the size and sufficient. Internet is very fast and I never had a single cut for 3 weeks. The accommodation is very well located with several restaurants nearby and a few minutes walk to the metro.there are also two very large shopping centers not far away. There is also a cleaning service for clothes which is available on site at an attractive price.you can come here with your eyes closed, you won't be disappointed.

Excellent place to stay in Bangkok! I stayed here for 2 months and was very happy with everything. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The internet is great and super reliable, which is ideal for people who work online. The staff members are polite and helpful. There are so many delicious food options close by. It's also close to two malls, a supermarket, and the MRT. Highly, highly recommended

Nice place for area Ratchadapisek. And you will get some crowds for foods. 10 min away from MRT Thailand Cultural Center, which is easier to reach from Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang airport.

Was Easy to book online. I checked in the room in the evening, but security was there to serve. Room was very spacious, clean, and neat. Also they had large closet. And shower room was good enough, smells good too.

Owner is also good people to talk. He met me once. His name is mr Sunil.

Their internet access was also very good, very fast, and most important stable.

There was couch in the room. So it is nice if you come with friends.

As serviced apartment, i got hotel level service.

Recommended highly. And want to get back if i am going for biztrip.

Sitara Place has very spacious, well-kept, and clean rooms. I stayed there for 2 and a half months while studying Thai. I especially liked that it has a free tuktuk service during weekdays and that it’s of walking distance to the MRT Praram 9 station, Ratchada Night Market, Central Plaza, and Fortune Town. There’s also two 7-11 shops nearby, very convenient. Finally, Mr. Sunil (the owner) and the entire staff are helpful and genuinely friendly. I loved my stay there and would definitely recommend it.

This place deserves 99/100 rating. It has a very nice and polite Thai owner. For it’s size 40m2, convenient location, included amenities like microwave and fridge, internet, TV with HBO/sports channels bed linen changing, towel change +weekly cleaning (no extra fee) it is the best value in area. The street-food at soi3 location, proximity of MRT metro Phra Ram IX, Tesco/Fortune town shopping mall/Central Plaza shopping mall makes this location perfect for those who want to relax and try to live in Bangkok for shorter periods of time. Only 1 point down for the stiff pillows that we can’t get used to. 4900THB weekly rate/16 000 THB (includes everything!). Free tuktuk service to MRT metro.
