Sing Sing Theater

If you look at the reviews, it seems like the ratings are extreme depending on the person. However, on the day I went, the music and vibe were great.
The space was reminiscent of the movie Blade Runner, and the house music was great. ID checks are strictly enforced upon entry.

I walk in at 9pm to get a drink. I go to the bar on the left inside. I hear the bartenders talking as soon as I walk up saying "watch he will look at the whole menu and just order a gin and tonic"- not expecting a foreigner to speak Thai. I order a vodka soda for 275. Bill comes back 320ish. Out of confusion I show the menu price. Not realizing service charge was added. They immediately grow sour with me and are short tempered. The service charge was no issue I just did not know. They hand me back my change and put my coins in a jar and shake it back and forth at me being very disrespectful. I couldn't believe how I was treated. No one is inside and they treat one of the only customers inside with such contempt. This really put a sour taste in my mouth. To be fair tho, the atmosphere is excellent. But this place is too nice to have bartenders that are short tempered.

Went to see Sasha in May - had a great time, Club is very well decorated, lots of levels, good sound system. Main dance floor is quite small but pretty cool to manage to catch someone like Sasha who can play to thousands in a smaller venue like this. Lighting system was a bit underwhelming, but there was a girl in a swing above the dancefloor for a bit so I suppose that is an alternative to more lasers.

*Serious fire hazard (there have been many deaths in bkk before, is this place next.

*Where is the air con? Hot as hell in here.

*Zero space, "dance floor" the same size as my lounge (no exaggeration)

*Overpriced

*International DJ playing so I bought tickets weeks before, but forced to queue up with huge amounts of last minute "generic night out" cash punters, who were asking lots of questions and taking ages to gain entry.

*Worst club in Bangkok that I have been too

I used to love this place. I always went there with my friends several time until last Thursday. We all know they have a Lady’s night and i always received free drinks tickets from the guard even i’m trans.

However, last Thursday was different. They didn’t give those tickets to me. My friend went to ask from them and they said “The owner has changed the rule by giving tickets based on ID card”

It was quite shocking and embarrassing. I’m saying this not only for myself because i don’t think i will go back to this sexist place. But i want to give a warning to other LGBTQ members.

The design of this club is truly amazing. Very good music. Tends to be very crowded on weekends. Could be cheaper but for this kind of standard still affordable

Super cool music, great vibe & amazing interior. Also, staff & bouncers were really polite and friendly with everyone. It’s been a while since I’ve seen that:)

We wanted to go here for years, the first time we went (3 guys) they refused us entry because they said we had to be with ladies maybe it was ladies night and we didn't get the memo.

Turned up a few years later and managed to get in to see what all the fuss is about. Easy to get in, guards were nice although for such a small place, there are more guards per sqm than anywhere I've ever seen. Not sure what that's all about.

The decor is undoubtedly a worthy sight - it feels like your in some underground 1940s Shanghai or Chicago speakeasy.

But that's where the experience ends. The space is limited. All tables seemed to be reserved for people who buy bottles of spirits, even though they were empty the whole time we were there. Typical inefficient use of space.

The drinks menu is good but expensive. I guess the free entry makes up for that but SERVICE CHARGE is added, even if you order at the bar? ! Do they not know what a service charge is? On our second drink, our change didn't come back. Maybe their calculator broke.

The music was repetitive and dull. Felt like the same song was playing all night and with 2 DJs.

The lady on the swing. Please don't stick around for that. It's a lady on a swing, that's it.

Seems like this bar was designed with some pretty innovation and exciting intentions but now its just a nice looking boring bar imo.

Seen it once, no need to go back.

Used to be better crowd 3-5 years ago. Now its overrun by freelancers and ladies of the night. Used to be no freelancers, and no cringe foreigners back then. Not coming back. Regular Thai’s do not come here unfortunately anymore and if they do its by mistake and they regret it and leave. If you’re a group of tourist girls from asia Skip unless you’re with your bf or guy friends. Farang will disrespect you and look at you like a product.

Always a nice place to go, but manager is not in knowledge of a manager role，too emotional: A woman with red jacket.
Arrogant and no understanding of customers needs, which is what makes the place live.
Not to standards for such a nice and famous place.
A pitty that could be easily fixed.

สถานที่ดีค่ะ แต่พนักงานต้อนรับไม่โอเค ออกไปเที่ยวเร็วประมาณ4ทุ่ม เพราะว่าเลิกเร็ว มีแต่โต๊ะจอง แต่เราก็ได้โต๊ะแต่ต้องเปิดขวด เราก็เปิดเหล้า gold label นั่งไปได้สักพัก ประมาณ5ทุ่มคนก็เริ่มมาสุดท้ายพนักงานเดินมาบอกขอโทษนะค่ะ โต๊ะนี้จองแล้วคือแย่มาก ถ้าบอกแต่แรกก็คงไม่นั่ง ไม่เปิดเหล้าให้เสียเวลาเพราะที่เที่ยวเยอะแยะ ให้ย้ายที่นั่ง ก็ออกค่ะไปเที่ยวที่อื่นต่อชื่อ mustache ก็เปิดเหล้าอีก1ขวดแต่บริการดี สนุก สถานที่ก็ดี แต่ตอนเดินไม่ค่อยชอบเท่าไหร่เพราะมีแต่ผู้หญิงนั่งเต็มไปหมดเป็น30คน

We couldn’t believe that the guards initially refused to let us in despite the fact we showed our national IDs and even driving license. After we argued with them, they let us in. The club is VERY SMALL. The dance floor gets crowded easily and there isn’t much space. Which makes it hard to go upstairs or even go to the bar. We waited for the lady to go up the swing for so long. She went on it around midnight. The closing times aren’t accurate btw! The party was still going on after midnight.

Free 3 drinks for ladies on thursdays. Very international crowd, mostly foreigners. Top 50 music. Pretty small venue and dance area. Ok to visit once but probably wouldn’t return.

Venue looks nice, but the place is extremely tiny. Seems more like a bar than a dance club.

Strange and cool at the same time. This place is amazing to spent your nights, and the djs are incredible, one of the greatest atmosphere

The DJ is disrespectful. His is arrogant. Because we aren't from Thailand, he doesn't like us. I will never going back!: +

Bad bad service, rude, they just want your money. They told me “if you don’t pay for a battle table 4000 bat you can’t go in”
They very racist because I’m a tourist from another country I just wanted to come and dance and have a good time and they just wanted to SCAM me!
Don’t recommend at all

Bring your girl friends and grab 3 drink per person on Thursday ladies night. Mostly weekdays are free for entry and weekend will cost around THB 300 + 1 drink free for entry. I love the dance floor and Hip-Hop vibe. Don't buy water in the club because it too expensive (1 small bottle for 120 THB). If you're thirsty, you can buy water at 7 11 and it just cost 10 THB only. Enjoy your night life in Bangkok. Cheers

There is a door code, men have to wear shirts, trousers and shoes in the blistering heat, while women can wear skirts, shorts and flats, or whatever. Also more expensive than NY! From the people outside it looks like lots of bits abroad and botox.
