The food is excellent, very delicious and clean. Staff is so friendly, nice and has service-mind.all are kind and fast. Very appreciated to lunch here today.

One of the best Peking duck crispy skin and Cantonese foods in town. The fish maw clay pot soup is highly recommend. Poached chicken is also quite unique. Noodle crab meat is just really good. Highly recommend.

Overall just OK food. Atomosphere and service were excellent. BBQ pork had great flavor but half of portion was pure fat. Fried green beens with minced pork had great flavor. Fried rice was below average. Crab wonton soup was very pricey and not worth it.

Great place for cantonese style chinese food. Everything we ordered were delicious especially peking duck and dim sum. Superb service with friendly staffs. The price is on the expensive side but exceptable. Only complain is the food coming out quite slow.

This restaurant gives me a lot of nostalgia. 22 years ago was my first time eating here, and my favorite dish was always their crispy pigeon and special soup in a wooden cup. 22 years later, their crispy pigeon is still as delicious as ever.

And the waitress that served me and my family 22 years ago to my pleasure is still there. Love this restaurant, thank you for the great memories.

The gaste of the food is amazing. Definetely a place to go when you visit Bangkok and the service was awesome, they are always attentive to you and are súper nice people.

Very nice dim sum with both good taste and innovative appearance style, and very attractive services as well! While the chicken feet taste is a bit different from the traditional Cantonese chicken feet style, be ready for something new if you order it.

Delicious dim sum- interesting variety, lovely service - and especially loved the amazing snow man cream bun!

อาหารราคาโรงเเรม ไม่ได้ชอบมาก ข้าวอบหม้อดินคืออย่าสั่ง ไม่ได้อบมา ตักมาราดๆในหม้อดิน กุ้งสายไหมอร่อย ผัดผักดีแต่ไม่ได้อร่อยขนาดนั้น

Dim sum and Peking Duck are wonderful. We love all. All staffs are nice with high service mind. Anyones who are looking for Chinese Restaurants with competitive price and great taste, then Silk Road would be one of the best recommended option

Had dinner here on Chinese New Year’s Eve. Great atmosphere with tons of holiday decorations. Super friendly and attentive staffs. The food portions are HUGE for “fine dining”. The two of us ordered four dishes. Could have easily fed 4 people. 90% percent authentic Chinese food which is a great if you count the 10% for local (Thai-Chinese) flavor variation/adjustment. You’d want that 10% differences when you are traveling from country to country.

Good variety and Great tasty dishes with cosy environment. Price at high side, two people easily TBH 4,000.

Kind of amazed that this place is rated so highly. Had high hopes for the peking duck. Great presentation, but the skin was just ok and the meat itself didn't taste fresh. The second course we chose to get the remaining duck friend with garlic. Gamey, way overcooked, and impossible to eat all full of tiny bone fragments. Service was also quite slow and way below what you would expect. We got totally different dim sum than we ordered (by pointing at it on the menu), and because we ordered an assortment we didn't realize it until towards the end and confirmed when seeing the bill. The dim sum we did get was good though I guess.

How in the world can this be 4.7 rating? I'm pretty sure the reviews are rigged. Wanted to call and book, they mentioned it's full. Being stubborn we Walked in and the place was only 3 tables taken.
Ordered pricey dim sum that's not worth trying.
Fried rice was good
Smoked duck was not worth 500b for small portion. Wasn't as juicy and tasty, just average duck.
Har gow with caviar was overrated.
Salted egg bun was OK.
Tea per person was 170+ per pax
All in all 2000+ for 2 pax for not worth coming dim sum.

After they closed for renovation earlier this year, I believe they changed their chefs and they had different menus with inferior taste.

We ordered the Beijing duck. It was perfect. I want to thank the whole service team for the wonderful evening. They treated us so nicely. Thank you very much and all the best for the future.

The Germans

Things come and go. Silk Road has been one of an outstanding Chinese restaurant in Bangkok for years and will soon be going through a major refurbishment. What I love about this place is its consistency and kind staffs. Apart from the lovely Peking Duck, Grouper in Superior Soup and Crab with Egg White are pretty awesome too. Pretty much 8/10 at least in my humble view.

When it comes to Chinese food, it is always difficult to pick a wine to go along the meal due to depth of flavours and variety. It happened to be Stella Di Campalto Rosso di Montalcino 2013 last night. Drinking nicely now with bright and elegant characters. Popped and poured and there you go the perfume of rose petals hit right on the nose. On the palate, it is subtle with sweet cherry as the key. I rather, myself, have a bottle of this Rosso than those overwhelming Brunello. Such an art of work from a unique signora of Montalcino.

5Oct2019: First visit post renovation. As good as it gets. Hakau was the star IMHO. Easily rival those great ones in HK. Lovely decoration now. Nice, bright, elegant, but still classic. Lovely service team as before too.

Domaine Berthelemot Meursault les Tillets 2017: buttery, creamy, mineral, floral, yet elegant. Enjoyable definitely.
