Shanghai Mansion Bangkok reviews
15Impressive hotel inside. I only put 4 stars because the service at the bar as well as the price of the drinks did not please us.
Right in the heart of Bangkok life. Location 10 ️
Breakfast great.staff very friendly.room ok. However, not comparable with the European standard. Unfortunately we had to pay for the cleaning of a pillow at checkout because we would have soiled it. We would have soiled it with dark hair color even though we are all blonde haired. We felt a little betrayed.
The hotel staff was always very nice & helpful. I would definitely stay there again, it is in a very live at night & there is live music which was my favorite part! Highly recommend it!
I love this place and the area. I have been here for the first time in 2010 and then 4 times more.
I have to say that the service quality decreased a lot from that time. Still good but not enough compared to the price of this hotel (which is overpriced).
Maintenance needed, rooms furnitures and carpets are ‘tired’.
Very good breakfast, prices at bar and restaurant are just insane.
This year (2019) we won’t go again.
Excellent, unique accommodation in a great location in Bangkok. Food in the restaurant is great, however cheaper eats are right outside the door.
Excellent location within China Town allowing you to experience the amazing street food virtually on the doorstep. Beautiful boutique hotel with tastefully decorated rooms in a 1940, s Chinese style. The hotel provides a tranquil haven within the hustle and bustle of the heart of China Town. The staff are friendly and helpful, particularly Ruby from the Rose restaurant and bar who recommended some delicious cocktails and mocktails which did not disappoint. Great varied breakfast selection and lovely high tea which adapted and catered for my vegetarian option quickly and efficiently thanks to Arber. This was our second visit to the hotel I would definitely stay here again.
The incredibly friendly staff, perfect location and the jazz bar with its music and cocktails are the three major points why we liked our stay, but generally everything was perfect.
Such a Beautiful place and the greatest staff imaginable. Especially Nana the massage therapist. She gave me the most professional and healing thaimassage I have ever tried. Thanks Nana. I still feel great:)
Clean room and bathroom with shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided, as well as some drinks in the fridge (pop and water). No windows so it's a bit dark, but there are plenty of lights in the building.
Chinatown Bangkok is pretty dirty and smelly overall so it's not our favourite, but this hotel provided nice service for our one night stay.
Went to the bar downstairs, the atmosphere is good and the hotel is conveniently located in China town.
2ème année pour nous. Superbe endroit, proche du centre Chinatown. Week-end à voir en soirée, nourriture en bord de route pour 3x rien. Recommandé
Lovely atmospheric place to stay in Bangkok. Their vegetarian Chinese high tea experience is fantastic too. Shame, there aren’t many vegan places to eat around so you have to go quite far for a decent dinner.
The staff is super friendly and helpful. They went way out of the way to help us several times. There is no pool. The rooms are ok, but nothing special. What makes this hotel worth staying at is the location. You are right on a street market. In the daytime, it is little shops with little things to buy here and there but at night the street comes alive with hundreds of vendors selling different foods.
Review is for bar/ lounge only. Did not stay here. Great cocktails, the dragon fruit signature cocktail was fantastic although expensive and didn't seem to have much booze in it. Jazz band was good but very mellow. Nice spot to take a quick break from the Chinatown chaos.
We had a lovely stay at the Shanghai Mansion. Their decor is fantastic, as is their complementary tour. We had one with Annie and discovered hidden temples in Chinatown. The hustle and bustle of the neighborhood is a lot of fun, either to observe or to find various wares.
The location is very central and a short boat ride away from the center. The food at the hotel is great as are the massages. We can only recommend a stay here.
