Science Center for Education

We bought tickets for the Planetarium and for the Museum. But after the Planetarium we went home sick, the moving images upside-down combined with their constant rotation caused us nausea, from minute one to the last. It took hours for the bad symptoms to pass.

The area outside and the hall is outdated and doesn’t feel very interesting, however the show itself is clearly have been made by people who truly love giving knowledges to people in a fun way. Just the show itself is worth the wait!

The entrance fee is incredibly reasonable. It costs only 30 baht (around $1). There are a lot of things to see but most of them are written in Thai language. One thing I love about here is the Planetarium show which is really interesting show. There are fews people during weekdays.

We sat in the wrong place and had an awful viewing experience the entire presentation was upside down. I thought planetariums weren’t supposed to have bad seats? ! Do not waste your time.

It's very good place for kids to know different animals, insects and plants. Top floor also have children playing area. Nominal entry fees.

อยู่ใกล้กับสถานีรถไฟฟ้าบีทีเอส เอกมัย ใกล้ วัดธาตุทอง โรงเรียนปทุมคงคา และโรงเรียนดาราคาม หรือร้าน ดาราภัณฑ์ สาขาของศึกษาภัณฑ์ มีห้องฉายดาว เรียนรู้กับสารพัดเรื่องของดวงดาว นอกนั้นเป็นเรื่องของนิทรรศการวิทยาศาสตร์ เกี่ยวกับดวงดาว มักจะเป็นที่พึงพอใจของเด็กๆอย่างแน่นอน ลองดูนะครับถ้ามีโอกาส ค่าผ่านประตูไม่แพงครับ

มาที่นี่ตั้งแต่เด็กๆ ได้เห็นการเปลี่ยนแปลงมากมาย ค่าเข้าชมถูก เดินได้เพลินๆทั้งวัน แต่ก็มีหลายจุดที่ปิดปรับปรุง มีหลายพิพิธภัณฑ์ให้ชม อาหารกลางๆ ราคาในเมือง

เคยไปครั้งแรกตั้งแต่สมัยเรียนอยู่ประถม มาได้ไปอีกครั้งตอนวันเด็กพาลูกไปดูดวง ไปเที่ยวงานวันเด็ก เขาได้เปลี่ยนระบบฉายด้านใหม่ เป็นแบบ 4K ภาพสวยและความชัดขึ้นมากๆ เหมาะกับการพาลูกๆหลานไปศึกษาหาความรู้เรื่องดาราศาตร์

It's what you'd expect for 30 baht. The planetarium showed a movie that only one side of the 360° seating could see. Many of the exhibits looked about 20+ years old. Lots of people running around. Meant for a mediocre school field trip. Rangsit Science Center is 100% better imo

พาลูกชายมาเที่ยวช่วงหยุดก่อนปีใหม่ คนน้อยดี มีทั้งหมด 4 ตึก ตึกที่ 1 เป็นเรื่องของสัตว์น้ำ ตึกที่ 2 เป็นเรื่องของเทคโนโลยีเวลาและอวกาศ ตึกที่ 3 เป็นโดมที่ใช้ฉาย ให้ดูดาว ตึกที่ 4 จะมีตั้งแต่ชั้นที่ 2 ถึงชั้นที่ 7 เป็นไดโนเสาร์ แมลง พืช อาหาร หนังสือและสนามเด็กเล่น ส่วนตัวคิดว่าให้ความรู้มีแต่อุปกรณ์หลายอย่างเสียค่อนข้างเยอะ ค่าเข้าตึกที่ 1 2 และ 4 ผู้ใหญ่ 30 เด็ก 20 บาท ข้าดูดาวที่ตึก 3 ผู้ใหญ่ 30 เด็ก 20 แยกกันนะครับ

Cheap and good. Planetarium on English every Tues 10am. Fee THB 30. Another THB 30 for all other exhibits.

วันนี้ไปห้องดูดาวกับแฟนมาครับ มาเป็นคู่ก็ใช้ได้นะครับ แต่ถ้าได้นั่งใกล้เด็กที่ซน ก็ทำใจครับ อาจจะได้รับการชมดาวแบบ 4D นั่งไปสั่นไป ใครไม่ชอบเด็กซน ไม่แนะนำให้ดูดาวครับ ท่านจะได้รับความรำคาญมากกว่าความรู้ แนะนำให้เข้านิทรรศการแทน ขอบคุณครับ

Magnificent place, very interesting both for kids and adults. We could not see all exhibitions in 3 hours. Interactive and educative, even though most of the stuff is in Thai, the kids loved it. There are also very reasonably priced lunch options. Helpful staff. Highly recommended!

The Science Centre for Education is a science museum in Khlong Toei District, Bangkok, Thailand. It is located next to the Eastern Bus Terminal (Ekkamai) on Sukhumvit Road, and is a science exhibition centre. It includes an aquarium, a computer world, a planetarium, and workshops/devices intended for children. The Science Centre was established in 1992 by the merger of the Bangkok Planetarium which was established in 1964 and the Centre for Educational Museum which was established in 1976. The exhibition is divided into;
- The Planetarium hall – the semi-dome planetarium is the most popular permanent fixture at Bangkok Science Museum. There are presentations shown inside the hall with topics changing every 2 months.
- Exhibition hall 2 – exhibits the advancements of technologies in various fields, such as THEOS, Quickbird, Terra satellite, and more.
- Exhibition hall 3 – exhibits aquatic life; rare fish, endangered fish, freshwater fish, and saltwater fish.
- Exhibition hall 4 – exhibits the Dinosaur exhibition, the World of Insects exhibition, the Strange Life exhibition, and more.
Many of the exhibits feature modern media and some include tests and experiments, with specific activity days available for students and the general public. Highlights include an interactive pirate ship, play supermarket and the world of insects, which are most popular with young children.

เหมาะกับพาครอบครัวมาเที่ยวครับ ชอบที่นั่งชมดวงดาวแต่ต้องมาจองที่ก่อนครับที่ค่อนข้างเต็มเร็ว โซนรอบนอกตรงตึกสิ่งแวดล้อมก็ถือว่าใช้ได้ครับ โดยรวมแล้วถือว่าราคาไม่แพง

I visited the Science Centre for Education today. BTS Ekamai Station is located near the centre and easity accessible. Very low entry fee. Good place for children but most of the instructors are in Thai only. Centre is closed in Mondays.
