Royal Thai Air Force Museum

Museum features alot of old and also rare authentic (majority of the displayed aircraft) fighters and royal thai airforce aircraft. It’s free to enter but know that during public holidays or monday the museum will be closed. It’s a wonderful place to come visit as also there is alot of public transportation nearby such as the skytrain and also bus services a few feet outside of the museum entrance.

As of currently there is renovation to some aircrafts and building and also there will most likely new aircrafts being added to the collection soon in the future until the museum either ran out of spaces or just moved/expand the musem to be even bigger!

Diverse collection of military and some civilian aircraft - with some surprises (Spitfire, Harrier, MiG-21). Easy to get to by BTS, free entry. English language captions on most exhibits.

Considering that entry is free, it's definitely worth a visit if you have time and are in the area. Lots of aircraft combined with the views of Thailand.

The aircrafts are in not so good condition, but you can touch everything and go inside. You might have good time with your children here.

Great museum if you are fan of aviation, I think. Lots of aero planes on display and many of them seem to be very old and rare. It’s more for the grown up aviation fan though. Really good display but not interactive enough to have the young ones interested. I wish it had more activities and involvement of the visitors to facilitate more interest. No charge gif the entrance which is great!

เครื่องบินเยอะค่ะ ไม่ต้องไปเบียดเสียดเหมือนวันเด็ก แต่น่าจะมีคนอธิบายด้วยนะคะหรือเขียนข้อความอธิบายให้เยอะกว่านี้ค่ะ โดยรวมสะอาด สะดวกสบายค่ะ ลูกชายชอบมากค่ะ

มาเที่ยวที่นี่เหอะ มันว้าว! มาก เคยชวนวัยรุ่นไปหลายครั้ง แต่ก็ไม่ยอมไปสักที มาวันนี้ ผ่านไปแถวดอนเมือง ก็เลยแวะสักหน่อย พอเข้าไปถึงเท่านั้นแหละ วัยรุ่นตาลุกวาว และมีแอบคิดว่า รู้งี้ มาตั้งนานแล้ว เปิดให้เข้าชมฟรี ทุกวันอังคาร - อาทิตย์ ตั้งแต่เวลา 08: 00 - 16.00 น. (ยกเว้นวันศุกร์ เวลาทำการตั้งแต่ 08.30 - 15.30 น.)

บอกถึงประวัติศาสตร์การบินและเครื่องบินโบราณที่ต่างประเทศก็ไม่มีให้ดูแล้ว เข้าชมง่ายติดถนน และที่สำคัญมีสถานีรถไฟฟ้าอยู่ตรงหน้าเลย สะดวกมากๆ

Excellent Aviation Museum, entrance free for all visitors, the staff, mostly serving Thai Airforce personnel are very helpful and informative, lots to see, just wander about also a small gift shop and canteen on site. Only a couple of minutes walk from the BTS station. My only criticism is that the Spitfire Mk. 14 it would be nice to see inside with some restoration work carried out on her.

Absolutely a must to visit for any aircraft enthusiast in the country! Probably, the most extensive museum in whole Thailand. Very rare historical objects are on display there too.

It's a great museum to visit. One of my favorite museum. This museum is under Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF). The museum is well-maintained, with lots of informative displays in both Thai and English. The museum has clean toilets, and the museum itself is also clean. Should bring water and food. Travelling may a little bit difficult during this period.
Be sure to visit.

This is a very low key Aviation museum, with some surprisingly rare aircraft in its collection. Total number of aircraft (including helicopters) on display is probably close to 60-70. Unfortunately it appears as though the museum is not high on the budget priority list of the Thai government and many of the historically important aircraft are sitting outside unprotected, some with open canopies and panels, being rained in!
A few aircraft of note are a very rare Curtiss P-36 Hawk and 1 of 180 Grummam F8F-1 Bearcat fighters that the US evidently GAVE to Thailand back in 1951! Also 2 examples of Curtis Hawk III biplane fighter and a Consolidated armed observation biplane, both types which were involved in the first recorded air battle between Thailand and the French air force in the fall of 1940.

Visited this museum for the first time 2 years ago and been there many times since. Great outdoor and indoor museum displaying a large number of planes and helicopters. It is possible to go inside some of those planes such as the Fairchild C-123B Provider and the Boeing 737-200 (under supervision I believe for this particular one). Other than that you will also see a quite rare Alenia G222, a Fairey Firefly and many more. Great place for parents and kids. There is a small restaurant and a souvenir shop. Parking is easy and there is a BTS station right at the entrance of the museum.

It's easily accessible by BTS now.
No fees for locals or forgniers, it's absolutely free for everyone.
The museum has a big selection of airoplanes, and lots of information on display.
There is also clean cafe if you want to have some food and drinks.
Don't miss this great museum.

Fantastic museum next to the airport. Somehow not extremely advertised but definitely worth going to. Especially if you are interested in any kind of flying or engineering. The museum inside about the history of the Royal Thai Airforce is very well made with all signs available in English as well. Many airplanes inside throughout the last 100 years in perfect condition. Outside plenty of aircraft are parked as well. Not much information available outside though. Big parking spot available. Entry was free and inside the museum I was completely alone on a Saturday morning. Outside just a few people.
