River View Guest House

Good location if you go to Chinatown. The hotel faces the Dov river. Quiet place. I think that if the room is cleaned well, it will be a three-star hotel, but. The attitude of the staff is wonderful, but the room is dirty,
It's a two star hotel.

Low key hotel in an interesting area and great views of the river. The hotel entrance is on such a narrow lane be prepared to make the last few yards on foot.

The staff is friendly and helpful.

River Vibe their rooftop bar and restaurant has delicious Thai and some western foods.

This is one of my favorite places in Bangkok, I stayed here already for months.

Pros:
Location - Perfect location in Talad Noi, a part in old china town where you can experience the local life. Boats, Busses, Trains and MRT in 10 Min.walking distance. Many foods and shops around. Designers love this area, that's why there are many designer events in the streets of talad noi.

Balcony - Take a room with balcony and you'll get a nice view over the chao phraya river!

Room - The rooms have big windows with an amazing view! Fresh water and coffee are included and renewed every day by room service. A little fridge, hair dryer and a big safety box (big enough for a 13" Laptop) are provided. The rooms are quiet and there's no street noise. Sometimes you can hear the boats or the cruise ships with their live music. But for me it's not a bad thing.

Bikes - Free bicycles are provided in the lobby. Definitely a cool thing if you want to discover Talad Noi and Thon Buri!

Cons:
Elevator - There's just one slow elevator. Since they replaced the electronics, it seems to be even slower. One evening, when people go to the rooftop, i got 4x a full elevator until i took the staircase from 7th floor.

Restaurant smell in rooms - it seems there's no proper ventilation in the restaurant on 8th floor. The strong smell of deep frying fries floats down to the 7th floor into my room. My room smells like a french fries shop. Theres just one window in the corridor, but they keep it closed. I really can't recommend taking a room in 7th floor with that strong smell.

Rooms - Some rooms have problems with water pressure. Some have a bad or old aircon. In every room i got, I couldn't lock the window-door. The external device of the A/C heats up the balcony a lot, you must turn it off when you sit outside.

This month they rised the prices (weekly rate now around 600 THB more).

Daily, weekly and monthly rates available. Payment only cash or credit card. Weekly or monthly booking in advance unfortunately only possible when paying by bank transfer. (expensive when you're foreigner)

I can recommend staying here, especially when you're only here for a few days. I told the management about the problems. They take it serious and they might already solved them, when you book your stay there.

Just went for some lunch. A bit expensive compared to other places, but worth it as food was lovely and the view of the river is amazing.

Great views from our balcony on the 6th floor. The room was spacious and clean. It had a kettle, cups and a small fridge. Coffee, tea and 2 bottles of water included. Only minus was the weak shower pressure.

It’s worth the price but if you’re neat freak I can’t recommend it.
If you’re a backpacker or looking for cheap stay this is yours.
I do live in bkk and just booked one night to chill.
There was some small issues about room but and I’m happy the staff were very helpful.
Make sure when you going to the restaurant being clear about orders, they brings me two wrong orders. But anyway it’s a nice view of sunset.
The location is amazing and Walking around the Neighborhood is easy from the river view.

The hotel exterior looks exotic and unique. The entrance is not very convenient though. You have to park your car or let the taxi drop you off at a Chinese temple close to the hotel, then you need to walk for like 1 min to the hotel. The room is very basic, it has no view unless you book the river view room. The room looks rather like an apartment or a dorm. The cleanliness can be improved, the bathroom is pretty like those bathroom in local houses. The water power is very very small and a bit unacceptable. The bed is ok, air con is ok. There's a fridge and free bottled water provided. No wardrobe but they provide quite a few hangers which is good. There's only one lift in the hotel, so sometimes it takes a while to get a lift. Their rooftop bar is awesome, good price, incredible river view!

If you come by your own car It's very difficult to find and you have to pass extremely small roads passing a busy market. And they don't have a car parking! But the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Excellent hôtel pas eu de problème en arrivant il manque rien, balcon, Tv, frigo, coffre, bouilloire clim, sèche cheveux. Vue sur le fleuve. Très propre

Top place, in a crazy-nice area, just walking into where it is, in the day and then exploring at night is like two different places. 100 percent go again, reception very nice and helpful, rooms are nice, and if you get a river view a few beers on the balcony is nice. It was actually cheaper for the double room than the family rooms in the hostels in the same area. The restaurant is a little on the expensive but I guess you are paying for the amazing view. The restaurant has roof top dining, recently refurbished and on the lower floor it has lounge sofas and a great view if the Chao Phraya River.

ราคาห้องก็โอเคนะ แต่. ความสะอาดรู้สึกว่าในห้องมีฝุ่น เหมือนไม่ได้เข้ามาเช็คความเรียบร้อยก่อนที่จะให้ลูกค้าเข้าพัก แล้วห้องน้ำมีกลิ่นนิดๆ ในห้องพักไม่มีน้ำเปล่าให้ ไม่แน่ใจต้องกดน้ำจากข้างล่างรึป่าว เห็นมีตู้กดน้ำให้ ที่นี่ต่างชาติเข้าพักเยอะ อาจจะอยู่ในราคากลางๆ พร้อมร้านอาหารข้างบนสำหรับชมวิวริมแม่น้ำ คือโอเคนะวิวสวย แต่ความสะอาดยังไม่ค่อยโอเค ทั้งในลิฟท์ขนาดเล็ก ขึ้นได้ไม่เกิน 4-6 คน ความสะอาดในลิฟท์ควรจะมีการทำความสะอาดตลอด และช่วงที่ไปมีการปรับปรุงซ่อมแซมในส่วนของบางพื้นที่ในแต่ละชั้น ก็จะเสียงดังหน่อย และที่พักไม่มีพื้นที่สำหรับจอดรถ หากเอารถไปต้องเสียค่าจอดรถเอง แบบเหมาจ่าย 200 บาท มีที่จอดรถใกล้ที่พัก เป็น ศาลเจ้าโจวซือก๋ง ระยะห่างจากที่พักโดยประมาณ 600 เมตร เดินเข้าไปในซอยเล็กๆ ซึ่งทางเข้าก็อาจจะลึกลับหน่อย

อยู่ในย่าน street art ทรงวาดที่กำลังเป็นแหล่งที่มีคนมาเดินมากมาย โดยเฉพาะวันหยุด มีน้องๆ วัยรุ่นมาพร้อมกล้องถ่ายรูปมาเดินในละแวกนี้ ส่วนใหญ่จะอยากขึ้นไปชมวิวด้านบนร้านอาหารนี้ซึ่งไม่ผิดหวัง วิวริมน้ำ จะมีไกด์พาชาวต่างชาติมานั่งทานอาการเยอะมาก ถ้ามาวันหยุดช่วงเย็นต้องจองล่วงหน้า เป็นที่พักด้วย อาหารค่อนข้างสูงเพราะพ่วงบรรยากาศ รสชาติก็ต้องมาให้คะแนนเองค่ะ ถ้ามีโอกาสก็ขอแนะนำ

This place is are bargain when you see the views from the top when you have your breakfast or lunch. I highly recommend anyone to go but only thing that I didn't like was all the mechanics and car parts in the area with very small back streets but when you get to the hotel its happy days. The rooms are clean and tidy nothing super but nice and comfortable. The hotel Its next to the river so you can get a boat ride over it to save time to get where you want. I enjoyed my stay just make use of the breakfast area that's the best part they also have a bar up there.
