River Cafe and Terrace

I used a 50% discount coupon at 6: 30 pm on weekdays through eatigo. The food was good, but the staff was really friendly.

The location is very nice. Perfect for dates or just a chill time with friends.

We celebrated a friend’s birthday dinner here. Their service is spectacular. Everyone is friendly and accommodating. The food is also good. Lots of Spanish food choices when we visited (Friday night). I loved the buttered chicken and the lamb. Steak was also good, but I preferred to have it freshly cooked and with gravy.

I think, in addition to the beautifully riverside location, the best part of the experience is the dessert. Their choices are just scrumptious. I particularly loved the cheese cake and the chocolate tart. Their flan is also fantastic.

We stayed there until late, the staff was very gracious.

They also have a shuttle boat to send you across the river if you are taking the train.

Me and my wife have been here five times. It was amazing 4-5 years ago. Post covid the quality has went down.

The good is the hotel, scenery, and amazing staff. They really are trained well here. This is five star top notch service staff.

The bad is the food quality. Some meats are okish like the tomahawk and prawns. Others like the wagyu, lamb, and vast assortment of many dishes near in edible. The cheese and cold cut quality is good.

The biggest let down was the desserts. This used to be a positive here. On last Friday I hate to say nearly every dessert was low quality in taste many not baked properly. Selection of dessert was also way less then it used to be. Having a proper dessert selection is crucial to leaving guests satisfied at the end of a 5 star hotel buffet meal.

My other suggestion would be to stop with the absurd drink prices. Just raise the price of the buffet by 200 baht each and allow people to have free water and non alcoholic drinks. Nobody likes feeling scammed on drink prices.

I would say coming once to take in the scenery and well trained staff could be worth it to you. If you’re more of a foodie looking for a great meal unfortunately this buffet is fling behind.

Personally, I am very satisfied with this place.
It's a buffet restaurant on the Peninsula. This is a place I always stop by when I go to Bangkok. If you visit when you are tired of Thai food for a few days, all the food is delicious and new. There isn't a huge variety, but there's almost nothing that's not tasty, and the quality of the barbecue is quite excellent. A big advantage is that you can eat Eastern and Western food and salads at once for a price between 70,000 and 80,000 won, and the quality is also good. Depending on the time of year, it may rain or be a bit muggy, but it is very nice to sit outside. The lighting from the hotels lined up on both sides of the river creates a great view. Of course, you can enjoy a refreshing meal if you sit inside the restaurant. When you go to the Peninsula, you can either take a boat across the river or you can go by car. Parking is easy and valet service is available. Highly recommended!

Loved this place! Initially hesitated whether to visit here because of quite a number of negative reviews on map, but had dinner using the Eatigo 50% discount. I ordered roasted wagyu steak, scallop and shrimp as well as hot americano, but there was no extra charge. I had to order still water with extra charge but the cheapest option was only around 80 Baht so very reasonable. Staffs were also all very attentive and kind - maybe it was a couple staffs on certain days that made some reviewers here unhappy. I also enjoyed the way back to my hotel taking the complimentary cross-river boat offered by the hotel. I will definitely visit again if I come to Bang Kok later and recommend to my friends.

Excellent services and food. Good quality buffet. If you book the buffet through EATIGO apps, you will get 30 to 50 % discount. The hotel provides ferry pick up from three pier such as Sathorn.

Food so bad in 14 years never eat this bad.
Can’t believe reviews on here trust me not good we had discount on eat I go app. And still 3600 baht for 2 people.
Staff ok when I complained I couldn’t believe did not get any offer this is why I have to leave a true review. No offer just oh that was it. Jesus 3600 baht gone still hungry even the coconut smoothie was water down with milk only worst coconut smoothie in the world. 5 star lol how I don’t know!

Everything is perfect and world class, worth the name to be one of the best traditional five star hotels. Staff team is so friendly and helpful especially Tongkao who is extremely knowledgeable in his services!

Can’t wait to come back again.

Too expensive for the quality.
Plenty of choice but tateless cold dishes and cold "hot dishes". Is there any more a chef here and a pastry one?

Nothing, absolutely nothing can suffer bad comments.

We had a so great meal, with so many delicious things for us to try.

The only regret we had is to don't have a belly big enough to try all.

Visited with my wife and enjoyed relaxing time and nice view. Recommended for those who want to escape from noise in town. We'll come back for sure.

River Prawn Buffet night (Friday)
- great ambiance
- great selection of hot foods
- the grilled prawns (OK), scallops (disappointing), and steak (Great) was cooked to order. One sub-standard scallop (on the shell) was the size of my pinkie finger-nail. 3 types of delicious steak.
- great selection of fresh fruit and desserts.
- delicious cheese but only 2 varieties and not enough cracker selection
- Best.sea bass and steak

We wanted to visit Mei Jiang for lunch, but it was temporarily closed (only available as a Chef's table for dinner). So, we had Dim sum brunch instead. We loved crispy pork belly and deep-fried BBQ pork puffs. Highly recommend to try their dessert (chilled sago and pomelo in Mango cream), loved it.

Had a very enjoyable and relaxing lunch, watching the river. Food was superb as was the service.

A nice ambiance on lovely grounds of The Peninsula, the brunch was good, not great…but the service was impeccable!

I had breakfast and dinner at this restaurant while staying in the hotel. Very crowded. The breakfast was excellent, with a variety of foods and desserts. The dinner was an international buffet, it was quite simple, the food was low quality ingredients when compared to the expensive price. Drinking water and other beverages were not included in the buffet. The staff had good service but so difficult to call them. Credit card was acceptable. On top with vat and service charge.

They cut foiegras and Australian beef off the menu without acknowledge us. So, if you're interested to come here, you may have to explicitly ask the restaurant about what is being cut for that night. They won't tell you about this until you show them the menu and ask them.
