Ratchada Rot Fai Train Night Market reviews
39 Even though it rained hard, it was enjoyable because of the variety of food.
In particular, I stopped by a store with a former bodybuilder, and the handsome muscle man was even more handsome. I felt good because I ate a huge piece of shrimp.
There are so many squeaks and I will never do it again ㄹㅇ Just
Go to Chet Fair, dead market.
I was looking forward to it because it was the 2nd seat.
It's better to just not go.
Every time I take a step, I see a menu.
A night market that has lost its former reputation.
- I visited several times before when it was called Talat Lot Pie 2, and I visited again with good memories from that time. The name was changed to The One Ratchada and some maintenance was done. The place I visited this time had so many empty stores and it was very deserted even in the evening. Only less than half of the total number of stores were operating, and only a few clothing stores and restaurants (mainly seafood) remained. All the old major stores have closed or moved to other places, so it is very empty and there is no night market atmosphere at all. During my visit, I stopped by a clothing store and a restaurant. It's not cheap compared to other places. In particular, the food and drinks were the worst. The quality is the worst, perhaps because there are no customers and the turnover rate of ingredients is low. After eating, I gave up and went to a nearby restaurant to have dinner again. There is probably no reason to visit this place again.
- If you have accommodation nearby, or if you don't like the crowded atmosphere of a street fair and want to feel a quiet atmosphere, you can go see it at least once, but don't visit from afar based solely on its reputation. It's a waste of time. If you want food, I recommend going to Chatuchak if you want to shop at the Chat Fair or night market clothes.
I have no intention of revisiting this place until it regains its former reputation, and I do not recommend it either. There are many other good night markets in Bangkok, so be sure to visit them.
We still know the market before Corona, so it was still an experience. Now we were there again and are totally disappointed. This has nothing to do with a night market anymore, you no longer feel comfortable here. There are only restaurants that really annoy you because you are basically sucked into it, you don't have time to look at the menu in peace and on top of that the food doesn't taste good and is way too expensive. We didn't stay long this time and this market won't see us again. Many stalls are empty and those that are open are selling trash or things that can be found anywhere in Bangkok for a fraction of the price.
An amazing night market to enjoy a pleasant night. Good shops that sell goods at a reasonable price and kind people around!
It's more of a tourist trap than a night market. Artificial. High prices for mediocre food, loud music. If you are searching for a traditional night market, avoid this one.
The market is crowded, but the food is not so good. Market space is less than before. But the price is pleasant and easy to shop.
Kinda quiet, not much shop but have space for chill n really nice late night:) close to MRT as well n lots of malls around there such as Esplanade, The street
Nowadays, Ratchada Night Market has changed into a uniform white night scene. I miss the colorful tent night scene in the past!
The place is clean, not too crowded!
The food quality is good, the price is fair, and the seafood is fresh!
It's just that there are fewer stalls!
I don't understand how people are posting pictures and reviews this past couple months as if all is as it was. THIS PLACE IS GONE! DEAD!
It was everything the reviews says. But that was before. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME, it does not exist as it was. Let hope it returns soon.
The place is cool but too many China tourist (I meant literally really a lot). It is at least much much better than Palladium Night Market
They have relocated; now known as Jodd Fairs, between Central Plaza Rama 9 and Unilever building, near Phra Ram 9 MRT station.
So much stuff to see and eat here. Very crowded with lots of tourists tho. Easy to get to by mrt and a quick taxi ride to sukhumvit. Just be ready to sweat and be surrounded by many many people.
Nice shops, boutiques and second-hand clothes. Live music and restaurants, and there's a mall right in the corner. Not over crowded, great.
Market is closed for the whole of May 2021 due to covid. Not sure when it will open. Should have banner to inform people that it's closed.
Live grows on
A wonderful place to get lost in for a night of dining and drinking.
Be sure to try the grilled alligator or some insects while you're there!
We heard Mark Weins after the famous pork ribs so we gave it a try. It was good we got there early so we got a table fast, minutes after there was a wait but service is fast! I would say just get the ribs and try all the other good vendors around.
Funky and hip inexpensive place to drink and eat food whilst people watching through early evening until late. Highly recommended.
