Polo Fried Chicken reviews
35 I was a little disappointed. The chicken was quite dry, the portions were somewhat small. Everything is good, but I had higher expectations based on the positive reviews.
Large, clean and air-conditioned dining room.
We ordered half chicken fried was very tasty and juicy. Also fried pork so yummy. We disappointed about Somtum tasteless and really strong shrimp paste.
The fried chicken was so juicy and tender and they serve you so quickly. The serving of the chicken was so good and the quality of it is there as well.
The chicken breast that are usually tough was so tender and cooking to perfection with the crispy crispy beside it. AHHHH
The fish cake was meh… will try ordering the pork next time.
The price as well, it was reasonable.
Food is quite nice. Chicken is tasty and juicy, grilled pork neck is smoky and the sauce complimented it well.
Only disappointment was the somtam, it was not bad just no spice to it at all. We made the waiter clear we love spicy and that we wanted it very spicy/Thai spicy, still there was not a single chilli in there and i think its an important component to a good somtam, overall not a bad experience though.
Cozy ambience with decent foods friendly served. Michelline restaurant speaks for itself. Chicken is highly recommended, and Thai salad is also super tasty. Must try restaurant of its kind.
I wanted to eat Gaitoto for the first time in a while, so I went to Polo. The original shop next door is now used only for cooking, and now the air-conditioned shop in front is used to store all the food, which is a good thing, as the acrid smell of fried chili peppers and the smell of burnt garlic are gone. Feeling sad. The large, freshly grilled chicken that came out, the speed with which it was served, and the enthusiasm of the customer service remained the same. It seems that they have opened a store in a shopping mall, but you can only eat at the main store even if you have to wait a little while. We had delicious. The price is still very reasonable.
The meals are not bad! The grilled chicken is especially delicious!
It took some time to find the location, which is in the alley of 711.
A famous restaurant with Michelin one star.
Fried chicken is ok. Other dishes are fabulous.
Many locals and foreigners visit here.
For the week I have been in Bangkok, I have come back 3 times, in part due to its location but mostly because everything is delicious and the staff are very friendly. It has been mostly locals each time I have come, and it is easy to tell why! I've had multiple dishes, and everything has been outstanding. Protip: order extra fried garlic.
Came here based on the recommendation of many food blogs and website. Order their signature fried chicken with lots of fried garlic on top. Besides that, order a portion of sticky rice to go with it. This is a typical place serving Issan style of food. Fried chicken was juicy and skin was crispy. Came here alone, otherwise would have order a few more dishes.
The fired chicken is overrated. I ordered extra garlic and papaya salad with salted crab on the side, and have to say everything is quite mediocre. By local standard, dishes are also overpriced. I’d go check out other places on the Michelin street food list instead
Staple issan food. Order everything. The chicken are a bit dry here though. Anyway, stay in the AC part of the restaurant!
Nice little shop along the alley off the main road, mostly pratronized by locals. Prices were affordable and dishes were more than satisfactory. Thumbs up to their signature fried chicken with fried garlic. You can never get enough of that sumptuous garlic topping.
Their signature dish is obviously their chicken. Absolutely fantastic. Love the spread of fried garlic on top. Very crowded during peak hours so try and go in between hours. A hidden gem indeed. Other local Thai dishes is readily available too. One will need to take a taxi to get here.
The chicken is a bit salty, but it is fine with the sauces. The chicken comes in half or whole.
Great Fried Chicken with Fried Shallots
Local atmosphere. A very old restaurant famous for fried chicken but also serves other north eastern dishes.
Only good dish here is fried chicken.
Ordered something else, was not so impressed.
Somtam way too sour.papaya was smashed too much.
Spicy Duck has only fat part.
Love the local dishes here. Somtam (papaya salad) is so tasty. (there are many kinds and variations of the same theme)
Try their fried chicken.
