Pho Place Guesthouse reviews
28Super clean, spacious rooms, and great location. This is super close to the Wat Mangkon MRT station which was very convenient and made for easy travel around Bangkok. There is 24 hr front desk staff, the WiFi works well, and there was a hot water kettle and fridge in the room. This place is really great, especially for the price and location.
Not a bad hotel. Quite clean, not noisy, as it is at the back of the street, because of this it is difficult to call a taxi. Pros, quiet, peaceful, near a lot of 7/11, many street cafes, many interesting places and attractions.
I stayed here for 3 nights. The location is great and the hotel is clean. The shower could be a bit better, but overall, this is a good place and I would stay here again.
Very firm Bed but good for me. Our Hosts were the nicest and eager to please. Laundry service was excellent. Nice extras, Bottled water placed in room daily. Easy walk to Chinatown. Access to Cab very quick.
Stayed for three nights on 9/25 in room number 1412. The location and service were great.
Except that the toilet seat is loose and the bathroom shelf is not enough to store your own supplies, if it can be improved, everything else is good. I will want to stay there again next time I go to Chinatown
It’s a cost-effective accommodation.
However, there were so many tiny ants in the room that it was a bit annoying. Later on, they even invaded the bed, making it a bit uncomfortable. But it wasn't enough to make a complaint.
The location is really great, it's good to go to Chinatown, it's good to go to Talat Noi, it's good to go to the dock to go to Icon Siam, it's good because it's a tourist destination that spreads out in all directions from the middle.

Very clean, affordable place to stay at the heart of China town.
No amenities given, except for towels and body wash attached to the shower. Need to bring your tooth brush and other stuff.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Free printing in the reception area.
Wifi is good at the hotel.
Not too much space for the car parking.
The Pho Place is in a great location in Chinatown. Despite being just a minute from the hustle and bustle of Yaowarat Road, the hotel is an oasis of calm.
When we arrived we received a warm welcome from the reception staff. The first room we were allocated (304 I think) had a view of the wall next door. When we asked for a different room we were given the key to 503 to see if we liked that one better. Although not a great view it did have more light so we stuck with that one.
The room was spacious, very clean and had everything we needed for a 7 night stay in Bangkok - safe, good WiFi. The bed was super comfy and there was plenty of storage space for everything.
At first glance the shower looked like it was going to be rubbish. In fact it was excellent - good water pressure and always lots of hot water. Bliss after a day tramping around the hot city!
The room was serviced every day and kept spotlessly clean. Tea and coffee are available in the room, but also there are facilities in the reception area, which guests can use free of charge.
We loved staying here, it was such a brilliant location and the staff were so friendly. Special shout out to Mohammed, always smiling and happy to chat with us.
There is a small alley to the left as you come out of the hotel entrance, which looks a bit dodgy - don't be put off, it is perfectly safe and the people who live and work there are really friendly!
Have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
Clean comfortable rooms in a quiet location 2 minutes from all the Chinatown action. Polite friendly staff and great service. Highly recommended.
Staffs are very nice and friendly. Room and bathroom are cleaned. Towels are hygienic. Highly recommended.
Great location, bus station, metro nearby. Room size is big, service is great! Highly recommended
Great Value for money. Spotlessly Clean and very good location. Great for travellers looking for a cheap private room. Would highly recommend
Stay here for two nights, checking time is 2pm but the room is not ready until 5: 56pm! This is unexceptional number one. Number two for day two requests to get the rooms clean but no clean call the front desk they not say anything so I just ask for clean towels. I would not recommend to anybody I know to stay here thanks for reading the review.
Great place for the price. Everything you need, clean and comfortable. Staff are super friendly.
This was my second staff at Pho Place. Clean, large and comfortable rooms, with fridge, kettle, TV (few English channels that I could see), water dispensers in the hallways, and small balconies where you can smoke or hand wash some laundry.
Bathrooms are small, wet room style. At some point there was a shower curtain to prevent the whole bathroom floor getting wet when you shower, but the curtain was missing from my room, leaving just the rod. If your room is missing the curtain, please be careful as the tile floor gets slippery when wet (one morning, I walked into the bathroom in bare feet to brush my teeth shortly after showering, and ended up on my butt).
There is a small common room near the reception, with tea and coffee supplies, plus a toaster and microwave, drinks for sale, and a computer and printer that guests can use. Staff are very nice.
Location is great, close to all the food and bustle of Chinatown, but still on a very quiet alley. I noticed one of the other reviews complained that there was no where to have breakfast nearby, but I don't know what they were smoking, as Chinatown has plenty of food places (including a very popular Michelin listed noodle place).
Wifi was a bit unstable and slow sometimes, but worked fine most of the time, and I was normally able to watch Netflix.
The main problem with the rooms is lack of sound insulation within the building. You can hear noises from the room above you, as well as from the rooms on either side and from the hallway. If you are lucky, the other guests will be courteous and quiet. If you are unlucky, you'll get woken up repeatedly by idiots. The AC units are also quite noisy, but to be honest the white noise helps block the door-shutting or chair-scraping sounds from nearby rooms. I stayed for 4 nights this time, and had noise problems 1 night, and a nice quiet sleep the other 3 nights.
