Peace 和 oriental teahouse (Sukhumvit49)

I ordered the high matcha extremist. It’s a matcha ice cream coated with charcoal and came with black glutinous rice. Super delicious. Clear yuzu is a nice drink after so much of caffeine. The place is a little old d… otherwise it will be a nicer place to chill.

Chill and cozy with good matcha and ice cream. Matcha drink is rich and refreshing but unfortunately their carrot cake didn't taste that well for me.

Our third stop for the day by 10am in the morning, and a tea house it was!

A decent selection of tea was available, with options between hot and cold variants. We ordered the sencha and hojicha and proceeded to wait at our seats at the counter.do note to remove your footwear when entering the dining zone (their signage on the floor was rather small to take notice)

the sencha was okay, quite a tad heavy on the wheat taste, it didn’t felt like a clean drink that we were expecting

? Hojicha was okay, nothing to shout about

We might not have chosen the best of what they offered, but we’re definitely given a good dining experience overall, with a good view of the busy road outside and a comfortable and cosy environment to indulge in

Always a wonderful experience for good high quality teas, matches, coffees and very interesting deserts. Highly recommend. Staff is always so wonderful.

I love this place. The only drawback is how they would never allow us to reduce the sugar - no change can be made to their recipe. That limited the options for me greatly because I'm doing low sugar diet.

The matcha taste is really good, it fresh and sweet of the real green tea leave.

Very nice tea house to enjoy matcha. We got hojicha ice cream and matcha drink. The staff was very nice and the drink very good. Would recommend!

Great tasting tea with on top, it's all about the cheese these days, when drinking cheese as topping your meant to drink it from the lid not a straw so it mixes with the drink

I really loved this place 2 years back when I first visited. Back then I had the pure matcha tea which tasted great. The ambience then was amazing as well.

After paying them another visit recently, I was left disappointed with the ambience and the tea. Firstly one of the aircond wasn't working so the place felt very warm under the heat of the sun.

Secondly there was a very noisy customer and none of the staff bothered to quiet him down as he was clearly a disturbance to everyone.

Lastly the way they served the single hot tea set was a shocker as they serve the tea leaves stuck under a small glass cup. The tea was already over-steeped when it arrived as the temperature of the water felt like it was above 80°C - higher than is recommended for sencha. Also they advised to constantly refill the glass with hot water when I'm almost done, meaning I'll be drinking more and more of the over-steeped, bitter-tasting sencha.

For a place called "peace" I certainly didn't feel much peace, and for a place specialising in tea it was disappointing to experiencing the way they served a simple cup of hot tea.

The matcha ice cream was great so added one star to that.

ใช้เวลาสกัดตัวชานานนิดนึง (คนอื่นดื่มเมนูอื่นไปหมดแล้ว) แต่คุ้มที่รอค่ะ คำนวณน้ำแข็ง ชา น้ำผึ้งมาดีมากๆ ค่อยๆ ทานจนน้ำแข็งละลายเกือบหมด ก็ยังรสชาติเหมือนเดิม ไม่จืดลงเลยค่ะ

This restaurant is very clean with the Japanese homies mood. The majority of the decoration was made from wood, which I really love it. Also, the taste of green tea is natural and delicious.

Good tasting slightly crowded during noons, recommended to call in advance to check. Located right at the corder of the intersection. Good experience with their variety of traditional Japanese and Chinese tea. Would recommend to try their desserts and buns, goes quite well with the tea. If you got time, better book your tea master for tea traditional experience as course for their tea that is provided. Recommended their charcoal green tea icecream.

This place is simply amazing. We got a detailed explanation and recommendation when we were ordering. When the order arrived, the server also explained in detail how should we take the tea and the desserts. Like, how long should we take to finish the dish, what's the best way to enjoy our order (should we wait for it to cool down or warming up, what should we eat it with)
The atmosphere is very cozy and relaxing. It's as you escape from your busy schedule to a peaceful teahouse.
Simply five stars here. Must visit again.

Lovely, tranquil place to escape the busy city and watch the world go by. Can enjoy some great tea (gongfu or western style) and the mini desserts are a superb complement. Would recommend for any tea lover!
