The lamb in the massaman curry was SO perfectly cooked. The appetiser sampler had the perfect curation. The watermelon salad was the perfect mix of fresh, sweet, tart, salt and red chillies. Lovely everything we got. Drinks weren’t very memorable.
I went there with family members and office colleagues. The Patara really serves fine Thai cuisine.
10+ all around, great service, beautiful and elegant decor, very polite and professional staff, amazing Thai food and beautiful presentation. Super reasonable price 2,000 Bath for an upscale dinner for 2. I cannot wait to have dinner again at Patara!
Used for entertainment for the first time in 8 years. All the dishes here are delicious, but the massaman curry and tom yum kung are especially delicious. When I ordered the 1,800Baht set, the curry was not massaman but a regular Thai curry, but it was delicious. It's located in a retreat from Thonglor, and the calm, detached-house-style atmosphere makes it easy to concentrate on conversation. If you're not entertaining, I think you'll enjoy the a la carte option more.
A fine dining restaurant set in a standalone building amidst a residential area. Thai food presented elegantly, slightly toned down in the spice level. Their crab curry and lamb were very good.
Came here with 2 friends and we spent around 3800baht for a spread of food. Portion is decent and soup is served as individual packed with filling as seen in my bowl of seafood with clams soup (clear) order.
Very good experience dining at Patara. We have an assortment of local Thai cuisine.
Definately worth a visit if you're in Thonglor area in Bangkok.
About 1000 baht per person.
We recommend the delicious and stylish massaman, as well as the drinks decorated with flowers. The unit price of curry is high, but it's a little large, so you can share it.
Went there last October. The atmosphere and environment were nice. The food was superb and cheap. No wonder it's a Michelin star restaurant. I ordered quite a lot which should be enough for 2-3 people. Have been recommending friends and families to pay a visit when they go Thailand.
Went to Patara Fine Thai Cuisine for dinner, food was good, everything was packed with flavor and cooked well, I liked how they split the dish for the two of us before serving. The service could have been more attentive, and sending customer off goes a long way, but overall had a good experience
Reasonably priced and food was good. The service was more than just disappointing. It took a while for anyone to greet us it get us seated (we booked a week ahead of time). Our waiter had some problems with communicating effectively (even though we speak both Thai and English). We pretty much did our own drink refill/got up to get plates ourselves. Quite literally just no service the whole time. The only times we got serviced were when we had to call the waiter/waitress multiple times.
In conclusion, good food but service worse than restaurants on the side of the street.
Honestly found the place a it bland. Service was poor, waiters weren't very attentive, food was average at best and they insisted we settled the bill whilst eating desert. Was looking forward eating here from the reviews but honestly wouldn't return again.
The food is good, not so 'common' Thai food with a little twisted blend of Western/Japanese food. All taste good and quite mild (good for foreigner for sure.)
But the service is quite slow, especially when there are lots of customers. We wait for our desserts (2 dishes) for 20 minutes.and another 15-20 for billing.
Many parking spaces on site.
Not so crowded, even on a day that all otger famous restaurants are fully booked days in advanced.
Thai food at this restaurant is delicious. Good service staff like it very much will definitely come back?
Good Thai restaurant. This place is good for both tourists as well as local living people to enjoy eating typical Thai food.
Reluctantly reviewing a fine dining Thai restaurant. It has exceeded expectations - food was excellent, ambience elegant and service perfect. Hidden on a side street in Thonglor it’s worth the trek if you’re willing to foot the bill.
Expected much more from a Fine Dining restaurant. The standard Thai fair of green curry, fried fish, pad Thai and crab omelette were very average for the prices paid. The raw vege and steak were below average and other street stalls could have done better. Lots of culinary excellence in Bangkok and this is not one of them.
This is one of the best Thai restaurants I have ever had in Bangkok. As this is fine Thai cuisine restaurant, the expectation is high. Every single dish that served are in high quality, from the north Thai noodle to the green curry to the fish cake. Even the vegetables and the rice are outstanding. The place is a bit far from the tourist area though. But just need to get a grab, and reserve the table in advance.
