Mango Vegetarian & Vegan reviews
56Here you can enjoy a vegetarian gastronomic experience, simply the best non-Thai food in Bangkok. Unmissable, sensational.
Good spot for a more regular “western” breakfast. My spring rolls were just ok but my friend’s brunch and pancakes were great. The food presentation is gorgeous. It’s a little pricier compared to spots in the area, but it’s a yummy and trustworthy spot to pop in for a familiar meal.
Never again! There were two of us and one person only got their food 15 minutes after the other. In the meantime, other guests who had ordered after us had already received their food. When the second meal came, the disappointment was great. The sweet potato bowl we ordered was carelessly prepared and the bowl was only half full. When ordering it was said that avocado was out and there was more of everything else instead. Instead, many of the ingredients listed in the menu were missing: no edamame, no chickpeas, no fried banana, no rice cracker! We only noticed some things late and after paying. When asked during the meal, only edamame and chickpeas were brought later. Apparently they had forgotten that there was more that was missing or they just wanted to make money with us. But especially in this price range, that's not only a shame, it's really outrageous! Hence this bad rating! PS: The soy meat seems to be a ready-made product that is available in every supermarket, at least in Europe. Only tempeh and kombucha were able to convince us, but given the miserable overall performance, that doesn't lead to an improvement in this rating.
Lovely, quiet place with delicious vege food beautifuly served. One of best coffes We had in Bangkok.
The Mango smoothie was delicious. We were wrong about ordering, the pad thai is delicious but nothing out of this world, other things from other tables looked good. There are cats around the restaurant while you eat and the waiters touch them before serving you. Good price.
I went here twice. The first time I went here and got the red curry with a side of rice! They have sriracha as well and it was the perfect meal for me the second time however, I got the pad kee mao and it had way too many veggies. I would go back but will stick to the curry!
I've been a vegetarian for almost 8 years now and this is the best vegetarian restaurant I've ever eaten at. Great many choices, taste is great and nice atmosphere. Recommended!
Okay, the tea afterwards was… a tea bag. Thailand is not necessarily a tea country, but they have tea gardens in the north of the country and therefore fresh (loose) tea. Tea bags are disappointing in that sense.
Yes, this place is a bit pricier than some other spots in Bangkok, but it’s still good. And I saw one review complain that she didn’t get enough noodles and too many vegetables. One of our biggest issues traveling through Bangkok years ago was that we could never find enough fresh veg, especially ones that weren’t drowning in a sauce, so we LOVED coming here and getting so many fresh (I mean fresh, nothing is frozen or old) vegetables with easy sauces. I still love noodles so I ordered extra (25 baht more) for cheap. Everything was great and we dined here 3 or 4 times in our stay. Loved it and will return.
TO ADD: the curry dishes are more filling if you order a side of rice or noodles, the Tom yum was my least favorite (I normally love it), but the noodle dishes are PERFECT.
Ate there 3 times over 4 days in Bkk and that speaks for itself. The place is designed especially to live up to the tourists' fantasy about a good vegetarian/vegan meal eaten in Thailand. Fancy, instagrammable, tasty, doesn't give you food poisoning.
The best vegan restaurant in Bangkok.
Generous portions, good prices and above all - great taste.
They also have cats
Avoid if you have a health related reasons not to eat gluten as their "gluten free" dishes are not actually gluten free. We asked (in Thai mind you) whether are their dishes gluten free and safe for a coeliac. They advised that half of their GF dishes actually wasn't gluten free. After further questions we had it turned out that the other half wasn't either. It seems like they are not even aware what ingredients contain gluten. For example they told us that they just use a normal soy sauce and didn't know that was a problem. The person working in the kitchen was at least quite helpful but the waitress was super rude and did not care one bit. Not sure whether they understand what could they cause to people with health issues. If you're coeliac, run!
Been here twice and enjoyed it thoroughly every time. Lots of choices. An enormous menu book. Each dish is both a work of art and just bursting with fresh unique and lots of ingredients. It feels tasty and wholesome at the same time. Big fan of the mango kombucha here and down it in gallons every time.
Such good food oh my gosh The place was packed when we arrived so they told us to come back in an hour. The wait was every bit worth it. Their vegan options aren’t necessarily local if you’re in Bangkok to visit but they do stand out as just a great restaurant on their own.
One of our, my friend and I, favourite restaurants in the whole city, if not the whole world. The food is amazing and we’ve been back two times. We will soon come back to Bangkok, and our plan is to at least go two times more before leaving. The staff is so kind, and we love their cats too. The atmosphere is so cozy and friendly. Nothing unpleasant here at all!
My friend came back 2 times for the chocolate lava cake and can’t stop thinking about it. The portions are huge too. I loved their banana pancakes! ️
Charming little vegan restaurant. All the food was first rate and critically for us, the staff went to great lengths to ensure we had the gluten-free meal that we needed. It doesn't sell alcohol but they'll let you bring beers from the 7-11 opposite without imposing a corkage charge.
Mango is a hidden gem in Bangkok, a vegan/vegetarian's dream.
They have a wide array of dishes, which are seasoned to perfection.
The area is very mellow and relaxing, and the restaurant's atmosphere very calm and peaceful.
This will be my weekly treat, when I crave a good meal, and a zen-like atmosphere.
Easily one of the best restaurant's I've experienced, since coming to Thailand.
Oh yes, the coconut, vegan ice-cream is a real treat, and a must have when you visit. The same for the fresh-baked cookies. The owner really does a number on the vegan treats!
Best salad of my life. So delicous! Although more pricier than the local restaurants, worth it. Khob khun ka!
Suuuuper yummy food! We enjoyed our lunch a lot. The place is super cozy and we felt very welcome. We ate lunch there and will go back for dinner
Red curry was really good and the Singaporean noodles too, but the vegetables in the noodles had no taste so it was a bit difficult to eat them without a sauce.
Also don’t expect kombucha to taste like a usual one sold in bottles, here I guess it’s home made and is very difficult to drink, it has a very strong taste of vinegar. The Thai milk tea was really good.
