Mae Varee Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango

Update (Jan 2024) : they no longer prepare it for you as nicely as this. They will only separate all the ingredients and package it up as take away and it’s not nearly as good anymore.

I’ve lived around the corner from here for 3 years but somehow I never went until today. The mango sticky rice and coconut gelato with tubtim and lodchow and peanuts is quite possibly the best thing I ever ate in my life. I also just worked out and it’s hot outside, per usual, though

Its more expensive than other sticky rice but it is sure one of the best in bangkok and worth the money

I didnt find it any better than any other places.

สั่งข้าวเหนียวมา ข้าวเหนียวสังขยาด้วย พบเศษโลหะจากแม็กเหน็บกระดาษในข้างเหนียว คิดดูละกันว่า หากกลืนกินเข้าไปจะเกิดอะไรขึ้น ข้างนอกเขาใช้ไม้กลัดใบตอง แล้วมีเศษโลหะแม็กเข้าปนในข้างเหนียวได้ยังไง รสชาติทุกอย่างที่สั่งมา มะม่วง สังขยา หวานลูกเดียว ไม่หอมไม่มัน รสหวานเป็นเส้นตรง. ไม่ประทับใจเลย. มีเสียงลือด้วยว่า เมื่อไปซื้อที่ร้าน คนขายสุภาพน้อย. ยิ่งด้อยค่าอาหารลงไปอีก เสียดายว่าวิธีการบริการ ทำลายคุณภาพอาหาร คือทำลายธรรมชาติไปด้วย.

Their mangoes are always perfectly ripe and sweet. The khaoniao or the sticky rice is delicious. I personally love the black traditional grain rice.
Portions are large and satisfying.
The staff are nice and quick to get your order taken care of. 150 bahts for mango and sticky rice, or 100 bahts for just the mango.

Only takeout. The sticky rice is good but there are plenty restaurants in Bangkok that can match it. The mango is actually sour and disappointing.

Really awesome sticky rice and mango dessert. If you’re going this way u really should stop and try. Always fresh sticky rice and sweet mango - you can takeaway and find somewhere nice to eat (Benjasiri Park is just down the road)
Price is a little expensive but the quality has always been good for us.

Bought mango sticky rice from Mae Varee last week in the morning and no queue at all. The mango sticky rice was packed nicely and the portion is quite big. Bought both versions: white sticky rice and mixed sticky rice. Both taste nice and the coconut sauce was tasteful. The mango itself is also sweet and nice. Location is very easy to find since it’s located nearby Thong Lo BTS. Mae Varee is actually a fruit shop which also selling good quality mango.

Used to be better. As time goes by, quality went down while price went up. My advice is to cross the street to soi 38. There are a couple of stalls in the night market there selling a much tastier sticky rice with mango at cheaper price. You can sit and eat there too.

Delicious mango sticky rice which served you the whole mango including the seed. Reasonable price to get beautiful large mango back home. They provide "3-4 days ready" mango as choices which is nice if you want to take home some mangoes

Quality vice is extremely good and delicious
Staff vice is lower average (sometimes his attitude is quite bad.)

Really good location, near the MRT system, only need 2 min walk. The mango sticky rice was great. 150 for one box mango sticky rice. Although it's a little expensive, but the hygiene and the mango quality is pretty good. Worth to try!

Best mango sticky rice! They offer sweet and fresh mango and 3 types of sticky rice, the normal sticky rice, panda and brown rice. Each have their unique flavour to go with their mango, topped with coconut milk and mung bean or in hockkian we call it “Tao suan”

The quality is just average! Mango is fresh and juicy while nothing special for the sticky rice. You can try if you are in the neighborhood. Otherwise it is not worthy to come only for the sticky rice.
