Madame Heng

I bought 24 pieces of soap for 970 Thai dollars and got a bunch of small packets of soap as a gift. It’s a good deal. The soap is scented with herbs, tea tree, and lemon. This store is located at the entrance of the parking lot, or on the first floor, and there is a gourmet market on the right. For the downward escalator, it is recommended to take it home with you on the way home, otherwise it will be too heavy. You can also store your luggage or send it back to the hotel or airport by going up the stairs.

This is the place I went to buy Madame Haeng soap.
My younger brother and I bought over 4000 baht.
Honey soap was out of stock, so I only bought two.
I wish there was plenty of stock available.
The staff was very friendly and tried to explain things in detail.
The staff didn't speak English, but they were very helpful in explaining things.
The soap for the Christmas event is really nice!

I travel all the way to Thailand just to buy soap because I love to lather up my luscious body with soap and not shower gel, which is stupid.

Madame Heng is a long established brand of soap in Thailand having been around since 1949.

There’s little information about the company online but judging from the name and packaging it looks like a brand that was established by Chinese immigrants to Thailand along with brands like Siang Pure, Golden Cup etc.

Anyway, the soaps are really great and any connoisseur, aficionado or cognoscenti of soap will appreciate a nice bar of Madame Heng.

The soaps are available nationwide from 7eleven, Tesco, Big C and many other smaller marts but for the more unusual soaps with special ingredients it’s necessary to visit one of the specialist shops.

The Siam Paragon branch is really just a stall located in the basement by the exit - a little difficult to find the first time you visit but ask anyone in the food hall on the first floor and they’ll point you in the right direction.

Despite the small size there was plenty of interesting soaps available including gift packs. You’ll save approximately B5 per bar if you shop here compared to other high street shops and there were special prices and free gifts as well.

There were three members of staff when we visited and all were all keen to help although I suspect some could benefit from some extra product training. The business and craft of making and selling soap should be taken very seriously in my opinion.

Well worth a visit for those of us for whom bathing is a serious business and anyone else who like to drop bars of nice smelling soap in their knicker drawer.
