Nice view from the top of this Temple. Good presentation of the history of the castle

Definitely worth 20THB admission fee.

An incredibly beautiful temple with free entry. It's definitely worth stopping by here off the beaten track. We were surprised with a 360 degree view of Bangkok and the Golden Mount. Great recommendation!

An absolutely beautiful temple! We just passed by by chance and were rewarded with a great view from above. It's best to come half an hour before closing time (like we did), then there will be almost no one there! Truly a hidden gem!

This deserves more attention as it is a beautiful temple and fabulous to wander around in.

The iron castle. No entrance fee. You can walk all the way to the top floor of the building. To me this temple looks different from the other temples that I have seen.the views feom the top floor are great.you can stop on each of the floors and have a look outside of the building. I saw many people praying and meditating on different parts of the building.

เป็นวัดที่คนส่วนใหญ่ไม่ค่อยเข้า เพราะคิดว่าเข้าไปไม่ได้ แต่พอได้เข้าไป เป็นวัดที่สวยมาก บรรยากาศดีมากเหมาะแก่การทำสมาธิ เงียบ สงบ คนน้อยมาก อยากให้คนเข้ามาลองดู

Free admission to this spectacular Thai religious arts that has been totally restored to the glorious past. It was built during 7 reigns of the Chakri Dynasty of Thailand. It is the third and only existing in the world. The other 2, one in India and one in Sri Lanka disintregrated due to time. The mmnane Loha Prasart meand that it had metal roof of multistoey structure built of the dwelling and religious rite of the buddhist monks.

The Iron Castel or Iron Monastery is a majestic Buddhist temple, one of the most impressive you'll find in the Bangkok, just two other similar structures had existed in the world.
36 m high construction supporting 37 metal spires representing the 37 virtues toward enlightenment in Buddhist belief.
There's an entrance donation fee of 20 THB or more (free for children under 13).
Worth a visit.

One of the most impressive temples in Bangkok.
It's 36 meters high and the 37 spires represent the 37 virtues on the way to enlightenment. If you are in good condition take the spiral staircase all the way to the top for a magnificent panorama on Bangkok. Below the top spire you'll find a small Stupa containing some of the ashes of Lord Buddha. (see photo).

Visit! This place is magnificent and not in the normal list of temples to visit, but should be. The meditation activities takes you up levels within the building to an incredible view of the city; take time to walk each floor.

Visited there on 23-11-18. Good place, nice atmosphere. The museum is small but is enough for a tourist to know about Thai culture. There is a Buddhist temple. No special entry fee. There is a donation box and anyone can donate as they wish.
