Lao Tang Braised Goose

Very satisfying and tasty breakfast. I ordered the braised goose and rice which came with a gorgeously spicy and vinegary sauce. It had a robust taste, rich, deeply savoury with hints of sweetness and a lingering, aromatic finish from the spices used in the cooking process which the rice is ladled with. 100 bht. Highly recommend.

Medium brown, slightly sweet and fragrant with star anise, this is the standard Teochew style braised goose. The goose meat is chewy but not woody, and the goose has an elegant oily aroma, which is very delicious.

Lunch was very satisfying today. For many years, this restaurant still maintained excellent quality. Braised goose remains an all time champion. The lady owner is passionate about her food and honest about her business. I love her and I love this restaurant.

Visited this morning and was hoping for a good meal, after much good review I saw from the web.order Goose drumstick, Goose liver, fried omelette, bitter gourd soup & Tom Yam gong. To be honest the goose taste like duck, the liver even taste like duck liver.the rest of the dish.also regret trying. To say the Goose is Duck, it’s not I exaggerated I’m Teochew, Goose is one of our important dish on every meals…the a goose liver is the highlight! Very disappointed.
Won’t return this life…

Ordered one plate of goose meat for 1 pax, 2 steamed rice, one plate of goose head, neck and gizzard and 1 bowl of bitter gourd pork rib soup. Goose meat tasted like its braised in some Chinese herbs (think it's 十全 but not sure. Doesnt matter because i like the chinese herbal soup taste) Meat was quite tender and not gamey. The side dish was also very tasty. Soup was clear soup and refreshing. Not many tables for seating and lucky there wasn't a long queue. No air conditioning as it indicates outside the shop and not really a super clean kind of eatery so not for the fussy. Overall, food is nice but wouldn't say its super fantastic. Can give it a try if you want goose meat and happen to be in Chinatown.

We ordered a 2 person meal with bitter gourd pork ribs soup. The goose meat were tender and its nice to eat it with the chilli. I like the soup the most, very tasty and helps lower the heatiness due to the hot weather. Not the best but still worth a try. Btw, there is another duck/goose stall next door. Might give it a try on my next trip. Stay safe and happy food hunting!

Very authentic and delicious braised goose, Thai teochew style. Reasonable priced, quick service and sufficient seating.

Restaurant serves goose, duck, and various other proteins that are flavoursome and savoury. I tried out both duck and goose, and I will recommend getting the goose as it was more tender and rich in flavour. One thing to note is that the restaurant extends further into the back alley and it was pretty rundown and filthy.

We got a ฿200 goose set, 2 rice and they offered use some iced tea. Goose was tender and well marinated. Service staff were very friendly and could speak chinese. Woud recommend if you likr goose meat

For 100 baht, you get a measly amount of goose and a lot of rice. Goose tasted normal and nothing particularly special as well. You probably can get better around Chinatown.loads of other good eats with less hype.

Your authentic Chinatown shop with rustic feel, ordered 1 large bowl duck noodles, come with braised goose meats and 2 goose blood tofu. Broth was deliciously good and clear base, lots of flavors and spices inside. Yellow noodles was al dente with bean sprouts. Add little of that chili into it to elevate the taste

1 of my favorite place in yaowarat. Nice Yummy Goose. Definitely a place not to be missed.
