KIS International School reviews
25I am incredibly grateful for the exceptional education and nurturing environment that KIS International School provides, enabling my daughter to thrive academically, grow personally, and build lifelong friendships.
As a parent who has entrusted both my children to KIS, I am thrilled with the experience. KIS is a nurturing community that promotes personal growth and academic excellence. I wholeheartedly recommend KIS to any parent seeking an supportive, enriching and joyful environment for their children.
Superb school, couldn't have been any better. I went there for 5 years and completed the entire MYP programme. MYP was marvellous, probably the best in the world, not gonna lie; the school is very IB; independent leaners:) But what makes KIS great is the people there. The teachers are like best friends, which makes it a warm community. While my friends are just very nice. The fact that it is a medium sized community makes it perfect for everything; a lot of DP subjects, and everyone is close. @corner has great food too. Essentially KIS made me a great person, yeh!
I moved out late last year, and it was a very tough decision but I'm doing great. I'm already missing this place, just because how lovely it was. So yeh, wonderful school! Love this place: 3
I come from another international school in Bangkok, but what I notice in KIS graduates is they’re very focused and ambitious, and they’re all very disciplined! I’d love to send my kids to KIS some day:)
Amazing school! My son has been learning here for 12 years and he said that he absolutely loves it here! KIS has such a good and loving community.
I have adhd and KIS's education system didn't help me at all. No one gave me the help I needed due to my disadvantage, and I was bullied by many many kids and even some of the teachers. So many kids bullied me for my mental disability, and no matter how many times my family brought it up to the school, the bullying never stopped. The school did nothing to help stop the bullying and the counseling was very bad too. I was bullied for years until my family finally moved away to get me away from all the bullies. Also the assignments are too stressful for the target grade.
If your child has adhd don't send them here because the environment is very ableist and your child will find it extremely difficult to be accepted by all the bigoted intolerant ableist children who attend here. The school is made to serve standard people and if you have adhd, then you are automatically at a disadvantage and no one will care about helping you. So extremely ableist.
The owner responded 10 months ago to look into the slow wifi. I believe the situation pre lockdon still prevented both students and teachers from working properly.
DP subjects are limited and prospective parents should realise this. I was referred to the website by SSP when discussing the DP subjects suitable for my son. - very helpful. This convinced me to relocate my PYP daughter. However new HoS and DP coordinator extremely helpful and understanding.
Personally I believe there maybe a hangover from previous administration and a people there too long and reluctant to change.
From a parent who paid personally for fees.
Best wishes to KIS 2020 graduates despite allthe problems.
Best regards. Alan
Great school to work at and wonderful students/ parents to work with. A growing school that has a family feeling and great sport programs.
Our two daughters age 5 and 8 go to KIS and we absolutely love the school. They are so inclusive and have a great community spirit. My children are growing to be confident and world aware children and it is all thanks to the support of the wonderful and hardworking teachers and staff.
My son has finally found an academically stimulating and creative environment to thrive in. The teachers and support system at KIS are also amazing for the parents - you feel they really work with you for your child's success and development. KIS is a smaller, high quality IB school definitely worth considering, we couldn't be happier!
The response from the owner seems quite ignorant. What made you think one of your students would score for the RBIS team? There were many evidences to prove otherwise. For example, at one moment, the 3 KIS players (as part of the RBIS team) were in front of the KIS goal. Then, one of the RBIS players passed the ball to these KIS players (as part of the RBIS team) because they were right in front of the KIS goal. What happened then? They all stood still, just looked at the ball but none of them kicked it into the goal. Finally, one of them decided to softly kick the ball out and then made a thumb-up sign with his peers.
By the way, if you had told the RBIS clearly how you would arrange the game, I’m sure they would have brought enough players.
I couldn’t agree more with Jesse. How could the KIS coach think the 3 KIS players would play fairly with the RBIS team? How could this be a friendly match when it was an unfair game? At this young age, the 3 KIS players couldn’t yet accept the truth that their role was to help the RBIS team score against their own school. I’m certain the 3 KIS players tried their best to assist their own KIS team rather than the RBIS team. As the host, the KIS coach could have done better. Fairness is more important than winning.
Yesterday KIS primary pupils played football against RBIS. Although KIS won 4: 2, I could hardly believe how its football coach could be so unfair. RBIS team only had 6 members. Instead of cutting down his team size from 9 to 6 in order to be fair with the visiting team, this KIS coach still used 9 players and sent other 3 KIS footballers to help RBIS become 9. How could that possibly work?
The 3 KIS footballers could never help RBIS team wholeheartedly. In other words, RBIS didn’t really play 6 against 9, but rather 6 against 12! How could this KIS coach do this? How could he teach “fairness” and “sportsmanship” to his pupils? How could KIS be proud to win? I’m totally disappointed with him. ️
A kind and caring community where you'll never be left out. Student input is incredibly important to the staff and is always taken into consideration. Of course, there are a few things here and there which could be improved but I honestly couldn't have asked for a better school experience.
My son loves KIS so much. He wants to go to KIS everyday. KIS provides great IB program. Parents, Teachers, Students, and Staff make this school the best community.
Linda and Lynn were brilliant. Friendly, accommodating and professional, they made the admission process of my daughter really easy and stress free. The school facility is very impressive, the staff is highly qualified, I have no doubt I made the right choice for my daughter.
I love working here, and as a parent I am very happy with the school as well. The educational standards are high and the school has a great atmosphere. The teachers are motivated and motivational- they really care. The facilities are excellent and the campus has nice green spaces.
I have enrolled into this school for 7-8 years and this is definitely the best school I've ever been to.
