Jim Thompson Shop Thanon Surawong

I went there for the first time in four years, and was disappointed because the cafe that was supposed to be on the second floor was gone and the selection of items had decreased.

It is a two-story building. It's a very nice store with a good selection of products. Recommended.

Always selling high quality silk with high price.
Sometime, hope to be provided big discount promotion as like “50% discount “, it could be very nice as I think.
Free parking space there is also, it’s good point for visitor with car.

Great shop to buy silk items. It has all price ranges, one of the most popular in bangkok. It has 3 floors so you have a wide choice of purchases: from scarves to clothes, from bags to bed accessories

The showroom was beautiful, but the only home furnishings they had were pillow covers, which was the main reason for coming all the way to this store.

My beloved brand from Thailand. Last time i was in Bangkok, i visited this flagship store in Surawong and bought 3 items. Anyway, nice store with many nice things.

This shop is my favorite. Very claasic styple and so spacious on upper floor. Custom order is also available.

Don’t invest in their pillow covers. This pillow is only 6 years old and hasn’t been abused in any way. It’s just fallen apart. And it wasn’t cheap, needless to say. Jim Thompson may have some quality merchandise, but based on my experience, their pillow covers don’t fall into that category.

Poor Jim Thompson would turn in his grave, were he to visit his shop today. I have been a customer for 25 years, but for a few years now, I always leave the shop deeply disappointed. You can still buy silk here and if that is what you want, you may well find what you are looking for, but the rest is either Indian scarves, materials that feature more synthetics than anything else and furniture that makes my stomach turn. What has happened to this store of gorgeous, quality products? ! What's the point coming here anymore. So sad. I guess the profit margins were getting too slim. I have also noticed that materials of other companies are being sold from catalogues. A few years ago, there was French wallpaper, which is no longer there. Jim Thompson has really lost it. I am not sure they still know what their brand stands for. One big mix of loud and garish things - totally different from what it used to always be

Nice and expensive some things, however I bought a beautiful hat! And it was very helpful during my trip! I very very recommend to visit the store if you go to the Jim Thomson’s house

A huge selection of Thai silks and materials for dress making and interior decoration. Also, ready made clothes and bags. Quite recently updated interior, well worth a visit.
Also has a restaurant/coffee shop.

Not much to offer but beautiful to see. The staff is very friendly and the Thai silks are the best thought. Not cheap and neither expensive. There is also other pieces of hand-made art so I do recommend.

This is the original Jim Thompson shop and Suriwong road which has been going since 1967
So its really worth a visit. Its beautifully fitted out with teak and marble which is the style of Jim Thompson’s house. The shop is on several levels and they even have a furniture section.
I love the café on the 2nd floor which has great thai food, although it's a limited menu. The food is very good and not expensive. It's a quiet and relaxing place to go to in this area.

If you are in Bangkok it's worth a visit.

Beautiful products, but high end luxury prices. Everything is unfortunately loudly branded "JIM THOMPSON".

After I got home, I discovered the linen handkerchiefs I bought for 450THB apiece, had hems that are glued instead of stitched and after a couple of washing the glue washed out leaving the sides to unravel. REALLY CHEAP.
