Jawa Mosque reviews
22Nice mosque. Here muslim community are so helpful. You can easily find halal foods here too.
Nice and a quiet place to offer prayers. The visit gives an idea about the culture of the Jawa (Indonesia) people, who came in earlier period 1900s to do business with Thailand and how they built their mosque here and settled down here.
Alhamdo-lillah, Alhamdo-lillah.
This centre and the community around it, is so brotherly and welcoming.
Any practicing muslim visiting Bangkok should opt out this area. There are muslims, the community is peaceful, the mosque is nice as well. Alhamdo-lillah, this was a good experience.
Don't forget to try Brother Badar's handmade Halal foods here. (Pakistani)
Masjid Jawa. I took ashr pray here. Very clean, located near to the CBD.
Surrounded by Moslem pre school, moslem cemetery and Halal Moslem food. Unfortunately, I came here at 2nd of Jan. Many food stall are closed.
Jawa Mosque is one of many local muslim community serving mosques in Bangkok. It was a bit difficult to find; I walked around phone's map in my hand, asking from people the way to the meshid. But the mosque was worth of find. Before the Dhuhr prayer I had one hour time to talk with a local man who told me about muslims and muslim life in Thailand. The meshid itself is beautiful, and it's architectural traits are, I think, are Javanese, beforehand unknown to me.
One of historical Masjid/Mosque in Bangkok. The name 'Jawa' taken from Java/Jawa Island in Indonesia.
MashaAllah lovely small mosque within a Muslim community in Bangkok, they have all 5 daily prayers with Jamat. Appears to be a central hub of the local Muslim community.
"A must have" for Indonesians who visit Bangkok. Some of the locals living there has Indonesian descents and able to speak a little Javanese. The architecture is so Javanese with all ornaments, will makes you feels like in Indonesia instead. An interesting experience for me was when they ask me as a visitor to join a Recitation in one of the local house, with a very kind acceptance. They seem touched saw my batik sarong which i wore, maybe reminds them of their ancestor's homeland: JAVA
Very goooood, nice place to visit javanesse heritage in Bangkok. The people are very warm and will welcome any visitor very well
I lived in a hotel called H Residence near to the masjid. The masjid is also school teaching quran to young kids and opposite to a big moslim cemetery grave yard being used to burry moslim.
Great Mosque or Mushola. I'm doing my Eid Ad'ha today in here, and locals are prepare food for the jama'ah, alhamdulillah. Many halal food stall around this area.
It's good masjid in the middle of sathorn Bangkok, and very convenient for whoever working on near sathorn, it's a fully air-conditioned rooms and adoptable for womens also and you will get halal food near to this masjid
Small mosque inside Soi Rong Nam Khaeng (Charoen Rath 1 Road). It was founded by Muslims who migrated from Jawa, Indonesia. Hence the name is Jawa Mosque. Nearest BTS is Surasak. There are some halal restaurants around the place.
Neat and tidy mosque. Got few halal food shops nearby. May Allah shower His Mercy to those who pray in His House.
Masjod of Thai Muslim. There are many Muslims are living in this area. So, if you are looking for Halal food and suitable accommodation near mosque, this is the best place for you
Masjid in crowded area. Parking is limited. Spacious masjid and seperate prayer section for ladies. If you visit any masjid, please donate generously for the development and to run the expenses. It's sadqa e jariah (on going charity) even after death.
