Absolutely 5/5, I stayed for 3 nights and had a lovely time at this hostel. The staff were so friendly & helpful giving excellent recommendations for restaurants nearby as well as organising fun activities - the trip to the floating market was a highlight of my time in Bangkok. They also provide free breakfast & shampoo & shower gel in the rooms. I stayed in a 4 bed all female dorm, the room & bathroom was incredibly clean!

Amazing hostel, would fully recommend staying here if you can. The place is social but not a party hostel so is the perfect mix of making friends and having fun but getting some sleep as well! Rooms have air con, free breakfast, awesome staff, nice roof top. It has it all.

If you like to have party then Mad Monkey hostel is just next door!:)

100/10. This was my favorite hostel I stayed in in Bangkok. Incredible social without being “too party”. The rooms/bathrooms are clean and comfy.

Manager Xi leads amazing tours.

The crowd here is really open to socializing and it’s easy to make friends. Plus, the location is close to Khao San without being right on the middle of mayhem.

You HAVE to stay here if you are backpacking

Cozy hostel close to khao san road. Rooms are somewhat small but the airconditioning is great. Staff are friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the many trips they organise for a very low price.

If I could leave 100 stars I would! I can’t say enough good things about Jam, the staff, and the people I met while staying here. Great place for solo travelers looking to meet new friends. I did the bike tour and night market which were both great. This is a wonderfully social hostel that attracts a great crowd, and you can use Mad Monkey’s pool next door for free. A/C in the dorms was cold, it was quiet, the beds were comfy and private. I felt safe and so happy here. Conveniently located. I’ll be coming back here for sure! They forgot to ask me a deposit when they gave me the keys, and after they blamed me because I didn't have given the deposit and asked me to leave. I proposed to give them the deposit but they "had decided" to make me leave and reimburse me the money. They even called the police to impress me.
I didn't want to discuss too much so I left, but they were really neurotic

The people that work here have amazing hospitality and do everything they can for their guests. I have stayed here twice now.

I recently had an issue with my room and they were very accommodating in helping me sort out the situation.

Lovely starting hostel in Bangkok - social without being too party and the hosts are friendly and help you get started by putting on events such as Muay Thai

No places in the rooms to dress up or anything, rude lady in charge. They ask 2500 bath per night, while azure hostel ask for 400 bath for better rooms and better service

One of our favourite hostels in Asia. Great vibe and easy to socialise. I also highly recommend to join the free tours with the hostel to meet other people. Location is close to Khaosan Road. Great restaurants and bars are in the neighbourhood.

Stayed over New Year's. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and tidy. The beds were cozy and had curtains. The hostel provides free breakfast, you can use the kitchen and store stuff in the fridge. I really enjoyed my stay and felt very welcome during my stay. Can highly recommend them!

Very cramped rooms at a rather high prices.poorly equipped not even providing any towels or toiletries.

My preferred hostel in Bangkok, the rooms are new, and very clean, AC is on, has its own kitchen & fridge if you want to cook, ensuite bathrooms, good culture, and at a very reasonable price especially considering the location. Much better and more comfortable than the Mad monkey next door.

Nice, clean, well located hostel. 5 min walk to Khao Sun road. Not heaps sociL but if you wanna meet people go next door to Monkey as j did every night and you’ll have heaps of friends. Hostel organised some good activities too

I stayed here for about a week. The staff is super friendly, the free breakfast is a huge plus, and the events the hostel runs are always a blast. Right next door to a party hostel bur quite enough to enjoy yourself.

The location of this hostel is very good. It is centrally located in the old city. The rooms are smaller in size. The bunks are comfortable and washrooms are clean. Lockers are present in all rooms. The also have paid self laundary service. The breakfast is free. The common area is small but clean.

I ended up for a week there and it was quite nice.
The rooms are a bit small but it works and it is relatively silent in the evening. The hostel offers events throughout the week which are free and fun! You can share taxis to locations which are further away and save a lot of money.
The girls who work there as receptionists deserve a lot of praise because they are really cool and I saw them everyday and they were super nice and social:)

This is not a party hostel, however, you exit the hostel and walk two meters to get to "Mad Monkey Hostel" and theres always something going on so you can just join in there and have a decent sleep at Jam Hostel

I stayed in a women's dormitory room for four. It was good that the locker was big. However, there is a lot of noise when the air conditioner is running. The bed and common space are clean, but there are no curtains on the private bed. I'm going again. Make sure to put curtains on the girls' room!
