J Cafe reviews
30Delicious! Amazing falafel, delicious sabich, yummy hummus and pita. Absolutely a must try!
Really good malawach pizza! Other good food as well! Service was great and I love that they have a mini market as well with plenty kosher options.
Food wasn’t fresh. And the baked goods so-so
Maybe they had an off day. Other reviewers have posted very nice photos with 5 star reviews.
I’ve been here once a few years ago but will never go again. I am not supporting Israeli products because of what Israel is doing (and has been doing for 75 years) to Palestine. Please stop importing products from Israel.
Excellent food, tastes fresh and delicious. The 'restaurant' is inside a shop which offers various food, snacks, drinks, and a grocery store.
Best Mediterranean food in the entire country! Didn't expect much, but ended amazing!
Excellent food right in the middle of Bangkok, we didn’t know what to have and decided to try and thankful we did, food was tasty, fresh and good portions, would highly recommend, the Shakshouka and market salad were terrific
Brilliant cooking. Falafels came very crispy. Great palette balance on hummus with generous amount of olive oil. Most other places can be either too soft or too sour. Come on Friday to pick up oven-fresh bakery. Whole wheat pita is a cool choice.
Delicious food. Fast, friendly, efficient service.
Even if it wasn't the only kosher café in town, I'd still go there time and again.
And a great place to pickup some kosher grocery items. From wine to frozen meat/chicken/lamb, to Israeli coffee and shampoo. Crackers, snacks (Bambang, Kliks and more).
The food was amazing and the staff and Chabad community are very accommodating and informative.
I ate the Shakshuka Hommus in store (pro tip add an extra pita onto the meal) I also had a pistachio latte and later took some fish fingers, home fries and a malawach pizza to go for dinner.
Definitely recommend what I bought, it was so good!
Will be returning!
I bought 2 breads one with chocolate and another one with cinnamon. I got very disappointed with cinnamon babka when arrived, the filling is a jelly consistency, which wasn't that pleasant to eat. I thought by seeing the photos it was only sugar and cinnamon but unfortunately not.
Even the cinnamon taste isn't that cinnamony.
The bread texture overall is good, fresh.
Kosher Food and Supermarket
Very cheap price and good quality!
After the lockdown, I book to dine in with 4 persons. We have order several food and drinks. We end up share only 210 Baht per person. Food is fresh made and authentic.
I love hummus, salad and their toast.
The parking is available and free of charge. It is so convenient or via the delivery service.
My boyfriend and I were browsing through GrabFood when we found this gem! Got the Cheese Bagel Toast, Malawach Pizza, and Pita Corn Schnitzel and let me just say everything was amazing the restaurant left a sweet note on the delivery bags as well. Will be ordering again and hopefully visit your store after the lockdown.
Ordered 2 shakshuka for takeaway, it was delicious and will definitely come back during lunch breaks.
Delicious meals, generous portions. Vegan, vegetarian, fish options served here (no meat). Fresh bakery sold on Fridays are really tasty.
If you're looking for a kosher food in Thailand, you won't have many choices, but with that said, you can find some nice deals here for israeli food beyond the usual falafel. The restaurant's menu concentrates mostly on dairy products due to kosher laws.
They have some interesting items like Malawach, which is the yemenite version for the indian prata with different fillings like hummous and cheese, and also the Sambusak and Burekas, pastries with filling, which are baked fresh everyday. Small tip try the Black malt non alchoholic beer, which is the israeli version of the root beer. Further, they have extensive shop for imported israeli goods, if you are looking for raw materials like Tehina sauce, Silan, Fava beans or Dates, for your mediterranean dinner this is the place. Try some israeli chocolate bars like pesek zman, Reva Lesheva, and other treats, you will be surprised.
Great stuff and service. The food was amazing and the Isreal related products were great value.
Highly recommended
My first experience with Israeli/Kosher food and J cafe did not disappoint. The portions are great for the price (really big even). Will try the bagels next time!
Deliciously kosher. Middle Eastern food at its best. Remember; no meat on the menu, but the best Humous in Bangkok.
Try everything because it is all delicious! Friendly staff, quick service, and a wonderful array of imported items to choose from in their shop.
