J Bar & Cafe

Extremely disappointing. Poor service and extremely rude and arrogant owner. Instead of welcoming customers he yells at them not to touch his computer. I attempted to apologise but its not what you expect on your first visit. Most bars allow patrons to change music, except here. Anyhow plenty of friendly bars on Bkk. Give it a miss and go else where it's overrated and the owner needs an attitude adjustment. Obviously he doesn't understand customer service or good manners.

I've been going to the J Bar for around 2 years now. The owner is a cracking guy from England and he goes out of his way to make sure everyone is welcome there. For me his steaks are the best in Bangkok for th price you pay, they are high quality and cooked perfectly.

The staff are super friendly and courteous, a reflection of the owner.

It's a great place to go if your looking for a chilled casual night or quick drink. Also has a couple of tvs for the football.

Im lucky to live around the corner from this place. Awesome steaks (for Bangkok) at an awesome price. The Thai food is done perfectly too. Nice and clean with friendly English speaking service. This is a typical outdoors Thai style place with no AC so if you want chilled air, go to a hotel and pay 4x the price for a steak. In fact, after several visits here, I can tell you that this is one of the best places in Bangkok to get an tasty, edible steak and not get ripped off. Best steaks ive found in Bangkok for the price. Excellent cook. Friendly staff an owner. Cool place to chill.

Few places do Thai and Western food equally well, with great quality, generous portions, and reasonable prices. This is one of them!

Very cheap and decent size beer selection.the staff is amazing this is an outside place so be ready for some heat

Best bar in Phra Khanong by a million miles. Decent beer prices and great food, can't go wrong.

Good value of money, yummy food and cozy atmosphere. (Steak has too little fat, would recommend burger more)

Ambience is good and food looked nice on the pictures, however it was not as good as expected. Their pasta is fine, however the Thai food was quite basic.

Great place tucked away from the main road in Bangkok. Service was good and the food was well priced with very generous portions. Drink prices were reasonable and the super friendly owners made me feel so welcomed and relaxed. A bit tricky to find but worth the way if you can do it. Go check it out

My favourite local, with super friendly staff and amazing food. Try the Haeng Lay curry if you have the chance, I crave it every time I walk over to JBar!

If you like people blowing smoke in your face as you eat then this is the place for you. Food and staff are great but if your a non-smoker head somewhere else.
