Holy Redeemer Church reviews
46Mass in English offered on Saturdays and Sundays. As a Catholic, having a church like this in Thailand in is a source of welcome, comfort and refuge in the faith.
Quiet and peaceful church during the day, busy when there's a mass. Thai and English service available.
Very nice and welcoming. Though have language barriers but everyone was patient and kind towards people and the bookstore is opened daily and items there are good quality and alot of options. Will come back soon:)
Beautiful catholic church with services in English and Thai. Home of Father Joe the founder of the Mercy Center in the slums of Klong Toey. Check the website for mass times.
Holy Redeemer Church in Bangkok, Thailand is a Roman Catholic church established by the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer. The church is located in Soi Ruamrudee, off Phloen Chit BTS Station, close to the foreign embassy district in the city. Its location in the city lends itself to a large congregation catering to local and international parishioners from many different cultures and walks of life
The church's architecture is amazing as the Buddhist temples you can find in Bangkok. This my go to Roman Catholic church in Bangkok.
The speakers outside of the building are loud and can be heard half a block away at the US Embassy. It is like they are saying "we know that we are in a Buddhist country but we don't care for our neighbors". Not cool at all.
Religious or not, this is a great place to visit in Bangkok for its architecture, peace and quiet from the chaos outside and to quietly sit inside reflecting. There is a weekly mass for those who wish to take part, but equally what many tourists do not realize is that Bangkok had in previous years a sizable Catholic community from amongst the Portuguese traders, that once were huge here.
If you want to learn more about the community, or even visit more places that have stunning architecture, head over the Chayo Phraya River to Thornburi (public ferry 5 THB). There you will find the very last Portuguese community, a stunning church and an amazing Portuguese - Thai influenced family restaurant, that is the only one of its kind housed in a beautiful restored house that also acts as a living museum to the history of the community.
Very international church where catholics from all over the world who reside in bangkok attend their mass.
Very serene and calm place of worship. There are 4 English masses on Sundays. There are daily masses too.
The design of the church is very unique and beautiful. It is the combination of the european and Thai traditional architecture. In every special occasion, the church will be decorated full with flowers. The fathers here are very friendly. They stand at the front of the church after each mass to greet people. They serve 2 Masses daily, one in the morning (Thai language) and one in the afternoon 5: 30 pm (English). They have 4 Masses on Sunday. They also have many other activities during the week. They collect donation on every 1st Sunday of the month for charity mission. Many foreigners join their community. They organize special evens such as new year eve, Easter, Christmas Eve in a very enjoyable way. You are definitely welcome there.
They have daily masses in English and quite convenient to get to. BTS Ploenchit and about 12 mins walk in
Attended Mass with Father Paul holding the service. Beautiful Church full of wonderfully kind people.
I always have difficulty trying to locate a English mass in bkk, but this trip in the vicinity of my hotel I noticed this church within the vicinity of my hotel. From their website, I realised they offered quite a number of English masses!
This Redemptorist run Catholic church hidden in bkk upscale area (embassy area and not too accessible by public transport). A mixture of Thai architecture and Christianity adored this church. Was quite in awe of the huge golden statue of Jesus. This place though does not have air con so be prepare to sweat if you can't take the heat.
Redemptorist priest speaks has a good command of English and captivating.
Wonderful looking Church. Look very huge and very architectural type but inside is pretty small.most importantly being in the lord's home is important.
A nice airy church. Masses in English available. Check their website for details. Easy to get a Grab ride to.
Sunday Mass is available in English at 11.00am and 5.30pm.convenient location in the heart of Bangkok city
This church looks like a mix between an Asian temple and an European church. Worth checking out if you in the area
So glad to find a Catholic Church here in Bangkok. We we're able to greet happy birthday to baby Jesus.
A beautiful church, attended Christmas Day 2019 mass here. It's really nice to experience the mass with brothers and sisters from all walks of life and nationalities!
