Fork & Cork by Sphinx reviews
40Food not fresh at maybe about a 3rd of the appetizers. It’s pretty late at night maybe 920pm. The food does not taste fresh. What the manager had to say when we told him is “other people have ordered it”. Wouldn’t recommend save your money and find a better restaurant for cheaper. That’s not hard to do in Thailand.
Not at all authentic Thai food, catered to the white population who cannot fathom or perceive or appreciate great Asian food. Food is bland, salty, and boring. Don’t waste your time here, there’s a lot of great local restaurants in the locality.
Best place to eat in Patpong! Great thai cuisine, friendly staff and cosy interior!
Highly recommended for tourists wanting a real taste of Thai food.
Tip top! Really very chic, which is also reflected in the price. But the food is also very good, which doesn't mean that the street stalls aren't good. It's just something, as I said: more chic and finer. A change for us (because we like to eat at street restaurants)
We had the laab Chiang Mai and stir fried beef.
The best always comes last! Very tasty food paired with an impressive ambience. The service is incomparably friendly. You have to visit this restaurant at least twice. Unfortunately we didn't have the opportunity to do this as our flight was waiting for us. But next time I stay there I'll be a regular guest!
Food was good - that's about it.
Atmosphere very, very stiff and pretentious.
Had a vodca soda -but my cat can mix one of those.
Efficient service doesn't equate to good service without warmth and friendliness.
Staff never asked me if food or drink was good, or if I wanted anything else.
Asked for a glass of water, at the end of my meal, was told I had to buy s small bottle water- for what they are trying to be and the prices they are charging, a glass of water should be provided without asking.
Owner was standing around the restaurant not talking to anyone, dressed like a cheap hip hop gangster.
This restaurant has many 5 star reviews from people who don't know what a fine dining experience is really about, that includes the rich Thai dinners that made up most of the customers the night I visited.
Excellent Thaï food, very well crafted with authentic flavours. Great service, cool atmosphere, totally worth the price. Highly recommended.
Love this place.
The first bar/restaurant I was looking for after landing in Bangkok
Great food. Great vibe. I love getting back into it
Bonne cuisine de plats thaïs ou plus occidentaux.
Ambiance sympa et deco moderne.
Service attentionné.
Prix dans le haut du panier pour Bangkok.
Nous avons passé un bon moment.
Fork & Cork (when it was in the Silom 4 Alley) was one of the most exciting finds. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, the owner was on-hand with a smile and story, the food was very, very good. Recently I returned and sought them out at their new address. It could not have been a bigger disappointment. Everything seemed to be 'f**$$ed' and 'corked'. The waitron was unfriendly, there was a member of staff sleeping in the corner (even though this was prime dinner time)! The food was not worth the hefty and over-inflated price tag. The decor inside remains tastefully done and the seating area outside will leave you witnessing the magic of vibrant Bangkok. Sadly, perhaps due to the lockdown or absence of owner, the glitter of 'Fork & Cork by Sphinx' was faded rust at the time of my last visit there. I hope to be able to recommend it once again in the near future, but today, you will find better food and a more hospitable place to enjoy your dinner elsewhere.
Terrible service and rude waiting staff. Last night my friend and I visited this place and ordered two simple dishes of pad krapao. We waited over an hour for them to arrive and when I asked the waiter he just told me "Wait, we are busy". No apologies or anything. Yes, they were busy but I counted 6 waiting staff and 4 cooks to serve perhaps 20 people at the most.
Furthermore, while I was waiting so long I became incredibly hungry do ordered an additional dish of deep fried somtam. This never arrived and I ended up cancelling. To do this I had to seek out the owner and I had to explain the situation to him. He was clearly not interested in the service his customers were getting or the complaints that were building up. He begrudgingly gave a perfunctory apology but did not even attempt to offer any discount or complimentary drink to make up for this terrible experience.
I would have got better food and service on a street cart at a quarter of the price. Very disappointing experience and they need to look at their customer service skills if they want to survive in these difficult times.
Just happened upon this restaurant. What a great experience. Very nice atmosphere amd decor but the prize was the food. Fresh, delicious and very well done. We had the Pad thai, Satay, Curries, and egg rolls. The 4 of us were all in agreement that it was very well done. The staff was excellent and very personable. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Hidden gem. Food is crazy and the bar tender legit. Gin n tonic and spring rolls. Out of bounds.
Angry servers!
Male Servers demonstrated a disdain and sour attitude toward customers.
Angry and unhappy male servers make for a terrible experience.
Don't ruin your dinner experience here
Absolute oasis in the sticky hustle and bustle of Bangkok, the owner is kind and welcoming. The fit out and the standard of drinks and service is what you'd find at any decent place in Australia. Another real plus here is the people watching as it's at the end of a lane.
Fork is consistently one of the best restaurants in Silom. Great food, tasty drinks, and friendly staff. Excellent Thai food but also one of the best fish and chips in Bangkok. Highly recommended!
Burger was dry, no proper salt for the tasteless chips on the table and a ridiculously overpriced B380 that I had to pay for it. Thoroughly spoiled my evening.
Seems to have got worse. Must have different cooks in the kitchen. Waiting staff still pleasant and attentive. Many better places to choose for Thai food.
Always a great Oasis to relax and enjoy a fantastic meal and drink with friends.
Great friendly service too.
Food is really good, great margarita menu, but they're really good at preparing other cocktails too. The staff is always nice and welcoming. Definitely recommend.
