Ethos Vegetarian and Vegan Restaurant reviews
39Found this place just off of Khao San Road, very nice vibe and very polite and friendly staff, the food was OK, cheap and large portions but was quite bland and tofu was personally undercooked.
Typical meeting point for backpackers, great choice of vegan options. I loved the salad w peanut and tempeh. Pancake for breakfast was very good and filling. Staff is super friendly and fast!
Very nice place where you can dine on the floor! Chill atmosphere.
The Hummus was good and the pita bread was pretty good too!
Simple but hearty omelette with good lightly flavored wholemeal bread!
As for dessert, the pancakes or rather the huge gluten-free pancake is too dry and poof poof…
Concerning the honey chocolate cake, then the best solution is to start with that, the cake is so enormous and what's more, decorated with banana and chocolate.unfortunately the quantity does not allow the quality of this cake to be erased. …
Dry and without much taste, this cake should be reworked! I say this for your own good
Overall enjoyable time!
Very very tasty Curry. A little bit spicy was the perfect start for thai food. Not too spicy for someone with a german taste
The Restaurant is located in a small street.
You must eat here! Her is delicious and affordable. It is also very authentic to eat on the floor
Personal is friendly, food is freshly made for good prices! They have a lot of food options (everything's vegetarian or vegan), although not everything might be available.they have tables to sit on the ground or on chairs, they play vibey (oriental) music.cozy atmosphere
Amazing place for veggies and vegans. A big menu full of delicious things and super nice staff:)
Nettes Lokal mit freundlichem Personal und vielen leckeren veganen und glutenfreien Optionen. Gut, dass wir extra hierher gekommen sind
They have really good vegan food. The pancakes are gluten free, vegan and amazing, same with there kombucha really tasty! The staff is very friendly and fast. It’s a bit expensive for Thailand, but worth it.
The food and service was excellent. The relaxed casual atmosphere was great as well. It’s only shortcoming was no air conditioner so maybe order some cooler drinks and take it easy on the spice.
Came here and had the vegetable tum yum noodle soup. My partner had the mixed vegetables. Both dishes were tasty without being salty, over-cooked, or grease/oil laden. Vegetables were crisp and fresh! Off the main road so the atmosphere was cosy. We’ll come back. (We’d highly recommend this place over the nearby Mango Vegetarian and Vegan which still uses lots of plastic and food wasn’t as good.)
I dream about their vegan pancakes! This restaurant is great. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, they have a huge menu that clearly labels vegan options and the food is delicious. It's often busy (especially around brunch time), so you may need to wait for a seat or sit with a stranger.
My wife and I are casual vegans, and while we typically take a break from our veganism while traveling (or hell just if an exciting restaurant opens up near us) it was really nice to have this amazing vegan/vegetarian restaurant just down the street from our hotel in Bangkok (Dang Derm in the Park). We ate breakfast here literally everyday we were in Bangkok and never ran out of things to try. All of the food (the we tried) was very good. They also offer smoothies, milk shakes (soy, coconut, and cow milk), fresh pressed juice, combucha, and tea all of which is very good. The food offerings are mostly Thai foods but they also offer some comforts of home if you’re traveling from a western country. The atmosphere of the restarting is great with friendly staff, no shoe policy, on-the-floor seating as well as regular tables and chairs, and free WiFi. We loved this place so much, we will absolutely eat here again if/when we return to Bangkok.
Totally in love with Ethos. I could have eaten here every day! Giant menu with sooooo many delicious vegetarian & vegan options. And no MSG which is very important for my well being. If your solo you may need to share a table but everyone is lovely. The wine is good and food even better. Great service and ambiance. 5 stars all the way!
Been visiting ethos for several years. Not in the best location (khao san rd) not a fan, but will make the trip every once in a while for the food and chill ambience.
Absolutely delicious! Followed someone’s advice to try Coconut Masala and fell in love! So good. Can’t wait to go there agaian!
Had noodle and vegetable stir fry with a glass of kombucha, both were really good. The service on the other hand.it started out nicely but eventually it just felt chaotic, had to ask for the check twice and had so many different waiters. Would come again though.
Ethos is my favourite place for veggie food in Bangkok and has by far made the best Pad Thai in Thailand. At 110baht it was a healthy portion of noodles, cabbage and coarsely crushed peanuts. Not oily or greasy unlike local street food vendors. Apart from the delicious food, it has a magical ambience at night time. I can’t wait to return.
Clean and good food. Pure vegetarian. There is a little irritating vibe of "being more vegetarian than thou" This already shows in the name "Ethos". They somehow promote eating vegetarian food as a way of living a more ethical live. Maybe they also think sitting on the floor is more ethical than sitting on chairs.
