El Gaucho Argentinian Steakhouse

Very large restaurant with tables also outside. The staff is very kind. There are various dishes, excellent quality of meat and a good variety of beers. Very high prices compared to the quality and then we are in Bangkok not New York, but at least once it's worth it, given that the food is good.

Steak is the cut of life. Salads and pasta are also good. However, the downside is that if you go for a place that doesn't look like it, you might end up stuck at a narrow table instead of all the wide seats, and the food prices are as expensive as those in the US.

For me the best steak house in Bangkok! Big choice of various cuts from Australian black angus to US prime beef to Wagyu. Always very busy so a reservation is suggested! You can also buy wine, beef and Cigars from the store to bring back home and enjoy later.

We visited late in the evening due to our flight arrival time. Both steaks were undercooked which is in excusable at $65 plus a steak. A side portion of oven cooked fried were $10 plus. One of the waiters seemed like he was on something and would just occasionally wonder over with his eyes rolling asking how things were just after another waiter. He then spilt a beer over my friend. Didn't apologise or even realise he had done it! Overall an expensive and disappointing experience considering the $220 plus cost for 2 people

Very expensive. I ordered 2 Wagyu steaks, side orders: truffle fries, mash tatto, and 2 cola for 8038 baht, meaning 845 riyals, and the food was very normal. What I liked most was the atmosphere of the place and the decorations.

Wanted a nice steak in BKK and went to El Gaucho to try. Must say steak exceeded my expectations and was very good. The service and atmosphere was also good. Special thanks to Riccardo who took care of our table.

Fan of aesthetic ambiance and Steak? Then you shouldn't miss this place. You'll for sure regret.
Service, ambiance and food apt to what and how you should like to enjoy

Had some drinks at the cozy bar before dinner. Waiting staff and bartenders were all so friendly and warm. Drinks turned out great too.
Dinner on the 2nd level had a great ambience. We were recommended rib-eye bone in steak, which was a great one - medium rare and melt in mouth with every bite. Service from the staff was excellent especially Ricardo. He had a lot of intiative, was so friendly and warm, and gave great recommendations!
All in all, a great place to dine and wine

Pros and cons about El Gaucho:

Pros: The meat is great, good service, clean, fancy decoration like Argentinian's country side house. They have a small parking for motorbike.

Cons: Overpriced drinks. I mean, I know this is a business but in my opinion what makes great a restaurant is the sense you're paying fairly for what you get and I don't think paying 350 baht for one canned coke and one juice of mango (from the pot also) is fair.

Anyway, as I said, this is a business and I, as a customer, have the choice in the future to repeat or don't.

The meat was great. The beef tartare absolutely delicious and the Tbone perfect. The place is nice and quite spacious. Probably not very relaxing but the atmosphere will be perfect for a friendly dinner. If i have to say something I didn't like, the price. In my opinion too high. But the meat quality was high indeed.

My 1st choice for steak in Bangkok. They cook steak perfectly every time. Love love this place. They make everything so tasty.

Food was great. The steaks are from the US. They were juicy, tender and cooked as ordered. Steak orders come with a big serving of salad or french fries as sides. A bread apoetizer was also provided. The bread was great as well as the roasted garlic and herb butter. Service was good - the staff can speak english. They missed one of our orders but it was ok since we were already full with the rest of our orders. Waiting time is not too long

The price are completely crazy. The food it's not bad but I was shocked. 2 waghyu fillet 200gr more than 4000baht each. I never see this in Thailand. They are completely crazy. Out of budget. You can eat better for half price in menu other and beautiful place

It is really good but really expensive! You need to be prepared about it if you want to fully enjoy your lunch or dinner. Anyway it is clear on the menu. If you are not counting your money it is a good place to get a good piece f meat!

The place was nice and gorgeous. The food was amazing. I can eat for a whole day but it a bit expensive tho. Keep that in mind.

If you are looking to have a delicious steak in Bangkok then you can’t go far wrong coming here. Been a couple of times and the steak was exemplary. So is it expensive, no. Not if you like quality food and really like your steaks. You get what you pay for. Top quality food cooked with care. Owner is charming too, as were the staff. Definitely visit again.
