They're only willing to fix your gear for a large profit. Sent a lens to them. They didn't bother to contact me after receiving the lens. They decided that they wanted to charge twice the price of the lens to fix the lens. I've seen the repair price charts from the Japanese site, for heavy repairs it is nowhere near that price. They even over-charge for return-shipping.

The East Enterprises (Tamron) is unable to update the firmware of a Tamron lens (even easy to do) but charged money for that and don’t like to give the money back!
We wanted to go to Chiang Mai urgently and I needed the firmware Update of the “Tamron 10-24mm Di II VC”. I had ordered the “Tamron Tap in Console” over eBay but got a broken one… Then I decided to send the lens to East Enterprises (Tamron). I sent East Enterprises an email… (difficult to find, they have 3 different emails but only one is working). First reaction we cannot do that! Even the lady from East Enterprises called that is not possible! Then I replied just stick this lens in your “Tamron Tap in Console” and connect to the internet wait 5 minutes job is done… Even then she said we cannot do so! But on my email, they replied they can update the lens… I sent the lens to them and the Lady called me and wanted for this job 1650THB… I transferred the money and I waited one week … Then I called again I need my lens …
East Enterprises sent the lens back without updating it… In the meantime, I (electronic engineer) repaired the broken “Tamron Tap in Console” that I got refunded and updated the lens by myself … Then I called East Enterprises and said they didn’t have updated the firmware and I want my money back… The lady from East Enterprises said this is not true… I can prove that East Enterprises did not update the lens because I have made a picture when I was updating the lens. You can update only one time the same update, you cannot delete any update of the lens. I requested to get the money back from that… but they deny it…
My questions are: Is East Enterprises unable to update a lens that even can do a child? Or does East Enterprises not like to update the lens? Or is the service of East Enterprises reliable and trustworthy?

It is not a trustworthy company. I just bought Theta V from this company and they said that i could get a tax refund at the airport. I lost my confidence that Ricoh company authorities this company to sell its products without the responsibility with this. As a tourist, i do not recommend this company for other travelers.

ส่ง e-mail กลับไปให้ แล้วเจ้าหน้าที่ก็ตามเรื่องให้
จนในที่สุดก็โทรมาบอกว่า
เราได้สิทธิ์ประกันเลนส์ของเราครบ 3 ปีเต็ม
อย่างที่พนักงานเคยแจ้งไว้
แม้เราผิดเองที่ไม่ได้ตรวจสอบใบรับประกันเอง
แต่เค้าก็ยังติดตามและตรวจสอบจนเราได้สิทธิ์นั้นอย่างถูกต้อง และเมื่อนำเลนส์มาซ่อมก็
ไม่มีค่าใช้จ่ายในการซ่อมแซมเลย
