Di Vino Bangkok Italian Restaurant in Thonglor

I was sent here by "The Godfather" (my 76 year old Italian neighbor) who has been ranting that this is the best Italian in Bangkok.
It's a really nice place. Half outdoor, half indoor seating. The lighting is good, kinda casual, kinda romantic, VERY ITALIAN,
Pretty place with a good atmosphere. I felt very comfy here.
I think the most impressive thing was the waiter. A very well spoken young man, Jackopo or Jack. Nice guy, knowledgeable in wine and was able to recomend a few bottles, all ranging from 1700-2000. I was forewarned, the place isn't cheap. 200 baht difference, I went for the 2k and wasn't disappointed. Very nice wine.
He also helped us through the menu.
We tried the tuna tar tar, which was quite tasty. They served complimentary bread that was great and a small 3 piece bruschetta and 3 piece liver pate is what my wife said. Now, that's not my thing but I tried it and it was indeed pretty good.
We has a tray of cheeses and ham/salami. They were all very good.
Angel hair pasta with Hokkaido scallops and zuchinni. Good but the scallops were diced up so you couldn't really taste them, I prefer them whole halved to get enough to taste them. The pasta was good, however.
Had the veal but ordered it pan fried. I wasn't aware it was going to be breaded, so maybe my fault there. I squandered that one.
It was good. I don't know about the best in BKK, I'll have to go back and further explore the menu to make that call. The Godfather says the truffle pasta in a light cream sauce is to die for. Always as Roberto or Jack for what they have Special, that day for something great.
Either way, I enjoyed it. It's a fun place and 8ll go back to check it out again in the future.

This is a fantastic Italian restaurant. We went for lunch a while ago, and the service was quick, as was the owner (I believe that was who he was) who was very nice to us indeed. I had beef ragú (as I recall), which was delicious - the beef sauce was very rich - and the apple juice I had with it was freshly squeezed and equally as nice. In conclusion I certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants Italian food.

The locals fave Italian. Proprietor/Chef oversees the food and service. Go with his daily recommendation if possible. Great Italian food and wine with a good vibe!

Great Italian food! We had a wonderful Christmas dinner yesterday with excellent wine. The owner is very nice. We will be back!

Despite loud music from next door, which is not bad at all as they play decent songs most of the time, the wines this place offers is of the best value and quality in the Thonglor area in our opinion. Knowledgeable staff (wine advisor) guided good wine for us. Thumbs up and a must go place.

Good Italian food, generous portions, with very good service. I've been several times and it never disappoints.

Have been here a couple of times.
Food is amazing. Not the cheapest, but in this case you get what you pay for.
Wine is very nice and not overpriced.
Owner is very accommodating and atmosphere is very cosy. Groups can have private room without feeling isolated.

The food was fabulous. Roberto the owner was a great host and the staff were friendly and very attentive. Great wine selection and my Veal Cutlet Milanese was so tender and tasty. My son who lives here hopes the Veal becomes a permanent fixture on the menu as he’s decided this is his new favourite Italian.

Casual italian restaurant with cheerful Italian owner who speak Thai, and Japanese female chef. One male staff speaks good Japanese. Comfortable atmosphere and worthy price.

Terrific Italian wine list including icon wines i know. Sitting down to eating here for the 2nd time. If you're fussy about wines as I am this place is unusually good, way above usual standards in Bangkok.

We had dinner at Di Vino and ordered a pizza. The pizza ended up giving us food poisioning. My friend threw up repeatedly the morning after. And both of us had to stay in the bathroom all day.

Love this place! Great food and service! The owner always takes great care of you. Recommend to make a booking on weekends as gets busy
