Chu Chocolate Bar & Cafe (Asoke)

Used on Sunday evening.
I heard that there was a lot of competition for sofa seats, but perhaps because I arrived a little late, I was lucky enough to be shown to a sofa seat!

Since it was both lunch and dinner, we ordered plenty of food.
Eggs Benedict, pasta, sausage, and waffles with bananas, which I had researched in advance.
In conclusion, everything was delicious! ! ! !

In particular, the penne pasta with tomato cream and salmon was spicy and I liked it. Repeat is confirmed.
In addition, the sausage went perfectly with the mashed potatoes and sauce, and the eggs Benedict went well with the refreshing sauce and thick bacon, both of which were miscellaneous items.
The waffle I ate at the end was full of bananas, vanilla ice cream, and fresh cream, making it very satisfying!

The store staff was very attentive and it was a great store.
The price is not cheap, but the taste and service are worth it! !

I would definitely use it again! ! !

I discovered a charming restaurant in Sukhumvit 31 that captured my heart with its delightful hot chocolate. I also tried their egg toast, which was quite satisfying. This spot marked my initial stop upon arriving in Bangkok, and I was impressed by the friendly staff and their wonderful hospitality.

If you come for the hot chocolate alone, you will be very happy! The best hot choc in Bangkok, if not Thailand. Add in an extensive western and Thai menu, fabulous cakes and cookies, and it’s a lovely treat. Chu is marked by hard working knowledgeable eager to please staff. I try to sit in garden or with a view of the garden.

Had the Pesto Mushroom pasta.
It was good, but lacked the pesto and cherry tomatoes. For 275baht I wasn’t impressed for such a small portion.

Very good quality food with great service, excellent location, a beautiful setting. One of the easiest meeting places in town. Highly recommended.

Visited years ago. I am glad to come back. Having a late lunch of pesto chicken breast salad, banana and caramel waffle per John (the server) suggested and a cup of 58% hot chocolate.

The salad is fully dressed. My favorite is the airy-like waffle with a nice and fresh fragrance. Suggest to order chocolate drink later after fully enjoy waffle.

Finally checked this place out on last Sunday.
Chu located in soi Naradhiwas 3, or Chongnonsri Stop, very convenience for anyone who travels by BTS. We had pancakes, and egg benedict, our food were simple but very delicious. Portion also big! The price point is more friendly compare with other breakfast spots in this area. Kids friendly environment not a laptop friendly cafe on weekend tho. I do recommend this place for anyone who love good quality breakfast?

Waffles and service was great. Prices similar to back in Australia (hoped for Thai prices but definitely western prices for western food).

The staffs were unacceptable!
It’s not because your cafe is right in the heart of Asoke then the staff can be so rude. Definitely not a kid-friendly place. I came here with my 6 months baby and my friend also with her baby, the staffs were very unfriendly, they show it very clear in their face. I don’t know why? Maybe they don’t like babies or we don’t consume enough? Frankly, you just lost many potential clients. Each of us could bring you many friends, of course friends would bring friends. There are many beautiful and trendy places in Bangkok and i think service decide everything and you absolutely didn’t have that.

An excellent egg benedict! If you come to this cafe, egg benedict is a must try cuisine. When you cut the benedict, the egg sauce will spread cross the whole benedict. Paired with the smoked bacon, the whole egg benedict flavors is incredible. The vegs on the dish is very fresh and make you feel less guilty after eating them.
The bread of the Norway scrambles is a little bit hard but the salmon and the scrambles is nice. Since you will feel a little bit hard but overall is good. So, that's why slightly reduced star.
But overall, a must try restaurant in Bangkok. If I have time in the same trip, I will come twice for breakfast.

Nice vibe and friendly service, but over priced for average (at best) food. 280 for basically scrambled egg on toast, left still hungry.

It’s not exactly healthy food, but it sure tastes amazing! Got the waffle with berries (that’s ice cream in the middle) and the omelet, which were both excellent along with my iced latte.

They serve perfect order to made waffles! It's worth to try once here. The staffs are nice and friendly. The place is nice and clean.

Xmas mood is here! The cafe is fully decked out with blinking lights. Great place to just chillax over a cuppa and perhaps grab some all day breakfast grub.

Try the churros and hit chocolate. Quite yummy treat.

Didnt like the egg Benedict because the eggs were not poached. More like soft boiled eggs to me

The main courses are extremely mediocre. Ambience is nice and their signature hot chocolate tastes great. Desserts are also not bad. Just dont come here for a proper meal as it is expensive and average.

Excellent spaghetti with meatballs, cherry crumble cheesecake, and peanut butter lacs chocolate cake with raspberry sorbet. Discount with eatigo app was 50% at 5: 30pm.

Really good cafe with tasty breakfast options and strong coffee. Couldn't fault the service. High prices, comparable with any major Western city.
However, not a good place to come if you're looking for wifi to do some work. First time we came, they told us WiFi was down which was fine as we just wanted some breakfast and to chill. Second time, WiFi was "closed" and was a bit disappointing as I needed to get a few things done. It was something to do with Constitution Day although not much of an explanation was offered.
