Ah, the Cantina Italian Kitchen in Bangkok, a curious culinary conundrum. The wife and I ventured there, expecting a straight ticket to Italy, but found ourselves on a bit of a detour. The menu, an intriguing mix, left us a tad bewildered. It was like attending a Venetian masquerade only to bump into guests wearing 'I NY' t-shirts.
You see, amidst the classic Italian offerings, there were New York-style slices winking at us. Quite the unexpected twist in our Italian escapade! It was like listening to Pavarotti only to have Sinatra chime in halfway. A delightful muddle, really, that had the wife and I exchanging amused glances over our Chianti. Despite the confusion, the evening was as enjoyable as a gondola ride with an unexpected detour through the canals of Manhattan!
The food was okay but a bit pricey compared to quality, you can simply have better food for tge same price, service is a good. Still good to try.
Good food and service. Sea bass was great. A little hot inside so cooling could be improved.
Everything was great
But there was very cold inside and we couldn’t find the solution.
Top top top
We had lamb chops, pizza 4 formaggio, salad bruschetta.
All was very delicious
Service guys were very friendly, quick and professional! They have serviced starter, mean course etc. Just in time ️ not all together or late
We can strongly recommend this place
No real complaints about the food, just the free bread is as hard as concrete and the clams are in fact mini mini baby clams; the location is really poorly sought out: unlike the Ari branch, this one has zero atmosphere, and there is nothing Italian about this place, or even Thai.
The waiters are chaotic and forget your requests and this so-called "fine dine" restaurant is in an area surrounded by fast food places, seedy bars and massage places.
We visited at Cantina Italian Kitchen in Bangkok for dinner a few days ago and had a great time. The food was really good, the restaurant's vibe great as well. Big thanks to the restaurant manager, Pravin, who was really nice to us, welcomed us to the restaurant, was attentive to our table, and generally provided the best service! Thank you, Sir!
Both the ravioli and the cold cuts disappointed. Will just stick to SOHO for the pizza. Staff and location are good though.
Looking for a lovely evening, choose the special place on soi 11, we loved the suggestions from wine to food.
Would recommend lamb chops. Fresh juicy and delicious.
Amazing host Pravin makes your evening even more beautiful and memorable.
We are going again for sure.
We are so fortunate to find this place and it just a few minutes' walking distance from our hotel. Food is stunning, both the tapas and pizza. Cocktails wow, wine great and lovely selection of beverage. Love this place and will visit again.
We went to Cantina during Songkran because they serve until late. What we didn’t know is that it is in a really touristic area. Conclusion, outside there was a war of water between people besides this we don’t have a thing to point.
The service is 5*, the restaurant staff were super nice with us & the food came super fast.
The place is nice, I liked the plants hanging from the sealing (a bit touristy yes, but looks nice).
Nestled in a cosy corner of the bustling Soi 11 is this recently opened Italian joint with its old-world charm. The charming & attentive Praveen, made us feel welcomed and relaxed and was up for a great conversation on food, culture & wine.
We started with a bottle of wine and a delicious cheese platter, which set the tone for a fantastic meal. Praveen's recommendations were spot-on, and we ended up trying the authentic Mascarpone tartufo pizza, which was out of this world! To top it off, we enjoyed a decadent tiramisu that was the perfect end to a perfect meal.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic Italian dining experience. Thank you, Praveen, for the excellent service and unforgettable meal!
Food average, service not welcoming. Too expensive for what it was, especially after they apply the tax and service charge on top of menu price. Waitress also took away special deal menu that would’ve saved me 30% on my meal once I found it after.
Very mediocre pizza. Crust is very dry and overly chewy. Won’t be ordering again. It’s quite thin and overall really expensive for what you get. You can see in the pic how few toppings you get on the sausage and peppers pizza.
There's a clear drop in quality when it comes to food delivery. Not sure if the same applies for guests dining in. I used to be a fan of their pasta but as the time goes on I noticed the amount of ingredients keep getting lesser until tonight. Zero ham and barely any pieces of guanciale. Just plain cream pasta. Very disgusted by the lack of quality control. Unacceptable for a restaurant of this reputation.
Some of the best pizza in had in bangkok. Was there as part of some Sunday buffet celebration so good. But not sure about much higher prices for regular days.
Not great value for money. Pizza base and sauce were nice, but seemed a fraction smaller than the promised 12 inches, with at minimum an inch of the outside crust with nothing on. Water at 40b was a small glass, not a bottle. Friendly staff (that seemed to outnumber the diners) but just felt a bit style over substance, there are cheaper options in the area that are just as good.
Great pizzas and pastas. Nice vegetarian selection. Ambience is also lovely. Wine list is extensive so we could spend hours here!
One of my favourites on my street, soi 11. Amazing pizza and other dishes. Great quality great staff! I come back here as often as I can. Thank you!
