Breakfast Story Phrom Phong reviews
33Enjoying this place every time I'm in Bangkok. I usually order the Kitchen Sink with bottomless coffee. Nice menu selections for everyone. Small place, so you might have to wait for a table.
Friendly staff with great relaxed atmosphere.
Good food and service.
I'll be back
Best breakfast for me so far! Good coffee, very friendly service and food portion is very satisfying.
So good.a little pricey but worth it.mix of thai and filipinos hospitality, what more can you ask for.i will definitely come back if i’m visiting bangkok again
I had read the reviews and thought it would be quiet, so I thought I'd do some work after breakfast, but there were a lot of European and American people (groups) and it was so noisy that it was hard to relax. It might just be a coincidence. The taste is usually delicious, but I wonder if it's different from hotel food.
I ended up moving to Starbucks and working (lol)
I was staying at a hotel without breakfast, so I was only eating Thai food, but I wanted to try an American breakfast, so I went to this restaurant based on the reviews.
I ordered a club sandwich. Filled with lettuce, bacon, and a fried egg. It was quite a volume. Although it had a strong buttery taste and was a bit chewy, I finished it deliciously.
The plate included fries with rosemary and three types of fruit cubes.
For drinks, I ordered iced coffee with milk. This coffee was not sweet and had a refreshing taste.
There is a sign at the store, but when you open the door, you are in another store. The store is on the 3rd floor and can be accessed using the stairs at the back. The shops on the 1st and 2nd floors are dark because they are not open during the day.
I love the place multi floors. Friendly staff so welcoming I loved this branched the most
We made an advanced order for delivery because we needed to catch a morning flight. But it came 1h late so we had no time to eat it warm since we could only bring it on the 1h journey to the airport and it would be all soggy and cold by the time we could eat it.
Breakfast Story is a stylish cafe nestled in the back alleys between Soi 33 and 35 off of Sukhumvit Road. As advertised on their "novel" designed menu, they aim to deliver a breakfast adventure, and getting to their store is an adventure in itself! They exist on the third floor above the Hair of the Dog bar, but once you traverse the dimly lit entryway of the night time establishment, you'll find yourself welcomed by a warm, meticulously designed cafe that would find itself at home in any Harajuku sidestreet.
The menu is designed as a book, which could cause a bit of confusion, as I watched a Japanese family struggle through to place their order, but after a bit perusing you can figure out what you'd like to eat. I found the food to be delicious, with fresh flavors and a clean presentation. I ordered a Devilish Latte, Green Machine Smoothie, and 3-Egg Omelette.
There was quite a diverse clientele during my short time and I enjoyed sharing my table with a tourist Japanese family, while people watching the other customers; a couple grabbing breakfast, another solo traveller, a studying student, and gossiping friends. The intimate atmosphere belies the limited space available, which could detract some looking for privacy, but could be described as warmth to another.
A lovely cafe worthy of a slightly longer review, just to add to their story!
Some of the best pancakes, toast, and French toast I've ever had. Especially in Thailand where it can difficult to find good American breakfast food. Came here two days when visiting over the weekend just since it was so good!
A little tricky to get to. It's the 2F of hair of the dog. If you're craving a traditional Canadian breakfast or pretty much any North American faves this is your go to! They have the classics bacon and eggs, pancakes, French toast and even poutine. If you're missing a little taste of home or you just want a hearty meal. This is an amazing place to go to!
Had their Breakfast poutines and I was disappointed. The poutines were potato wedges with not enough cheese curds and way too much gravy.
But the ingredients are fresh and the smoothie was good.
Dont order Mac & cheese. There was more oil rather than cheese.
Coffee was good.
Sandwich was too oily.
Fruit cut salad was ok, portion could have been bigger.
Costed me 400 bahts for this breakfast.
After I walked around the block a few times, looked up and found it! Totally worth it. Great breakfast and yummy coffee
The normal breakfast stuff is of great quality. And their healthy stuff is quite tasty too. Space seems like what an American diner looks like in Western cinema.
Waited almost half an hour for bacon and eggs which were average at best. The cold pressed juice the only highlight.
I liked Breakfast Story. The interior was ‘hipster cool’ and I was happy with the food and the general vibe. Quite expensive for Bangkok, but if you’re traveling it’s a great breakfast spot.
A couple of things could be improved: They didn’t offer hot latte which was on the menu, so that was a little strange. Also I’d like if the food could just be served somewhat simultaneously (we were a party of two and I finished way before my co-diner even received his).
I’d definitely go back.
Love this cute little American style diner. Damn good coffee and refills are free. Above Hair of the Dog in PHrom Phong location and after you’re done eating go a floor above and get a tattoo.the service is amazing and so is the food.
The restaurant is a little tricky to find. Once you do, it is worth the hunt. It is pretty cute and cosy. The staff are friendly. It reminds me of breakfast places in Chicago. My home town. The food was delicious! I ordered the Breakast Story. The pancakes were hot and fluffy. The potatoes were well seasoned. I will definitely return. The only issue I see, there are a lot of steps to get to the second floor of the restaurant. It is not a place for people who have difficulty walking up stairs would want to come to.
Fantastic breakfast. I ordered the bottomless cup of Joe (it was a multiple refill coffee option, hope I got the name right) and a large omlette with lots of veggies and peppers inside it. It was delicious
