Heard about this place for a while since it’s in my area and finally got to try on a quiet Sunday. Food was simple but really good. The dinner course also looks quite nice.

Nice place to sit down. Probably better suited if you are with some friends or on business. Even a date. The food was good and the carbonara was done right with egg and guanciale. For dessert there was Tiramisu, which was the dessert of the day. Here we were unfortunately disappointed. Was soggy and had little taste, got the feeling that it had been left for a while. But all in all a good and nice place. Would consider pizza next time, looked very good.

The location is just the opposite of BNH hospital and you can come here conveniently by BTS or MRT. The atmosphere is homey and peaceful with kinda minimal interior design. I had pasta here today and they offered fresh pasta with salmon. The taste is quite my favorite while the ingredients quality is also good. The staff’s service mind meets my expectation in all aspects. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to try Italian cuisine in Bangkok.

It is a brightly lit restaurant.

The waitress leads me to a table by the clear window, which had an upscale feel without any stuffiness.

The menu offers a fusion of French and Italian cuisine, reflecting the owner's heritage. In the mood for Italian, I explored the front section of the menu.

I started with a glass of their house red wine as an apéritif.

For my appetizer, I tried their famous Caesar Di Farina, featuring lettuce, croutons, crispy bacon, and onsen tamago (Japanese low-temperature boiled egg). The bacon was a bit saltier than I prefer, but the onsen tamago balanced the flavors.

My main course was the Carbonara and Guanciale. This was perfectly al dente spaghetti. The crispy guanciale was slightly too salty. I added a side of spinach gratin, the highlight of the meal, even praised by the waitress.

Throughout, I enjoyed people-watching and see the rain droplets come down the window, creating a peaceful atmosphere. I ended with a delightful Lemon Meringue Pie and lemon sorbet that took my taste buds to another level.

The attentive waitress ensured a seamless dining experience, promptly clearing dishes and refilling as needed.

I highly recommend this intimate, reasonably priced Italian-French restaurant.

Hidden gem! We found this place visiting the hospital and it was amazing. The place is quiet and cozy. The food was unbelievably good. Vongole is a little bland, but beef cheek and escogot were amazing.

We have just spent our last night here, in Bangkok, in this delightful restaurant. Everything was absolutely perfect, always have a special meal in a (hopefully) special restaurant and this time we were not disappointed. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Fantastic service and very authentic French and Italian. The restaurant had plenty of indoor seating and was able to accommodate us without a reservation. It is located across the street from BNH Hospital, so the streets can be congested if you are taking a taxi. We walked over easily with maps directions, saving a lot of time. The dessert menu was a surprise - my kids really enjoyed the Nutella pizza!

First time trying this Bistro Convent. My Thai wife and I give it 4 thumbs up. Food quality was excellent. We shared a pizza and lasagna. We both commented on the awesome service. Made to feel appreciated. Will return when back in the area. Thanks to all the staff!

Lunch set B480
Caesar salad, seafood gratin, French crepe with orange sauce, quality high but quantity small

Friendly staff, free flow of bread and butter, cozy interior to satisfy your girlfriend, but your boyfriend may want to eat more (^。^)

Average French restaurant on Soi Convent. Portions are small and prices are high. Coffee not great for French place. Better options around

I thought this place serves French dishes but what I ate here was Japanese pork katsu. I should have ordered sea bass one. Nothing special but service was great and the lunch set was reasonable

Interesting to serve coq au vin with the chicken and sauce separated? What's the advantage. My main course before I had a.chance to start my apertizer so it was cold when i got to it. Good value but service could be much improved.

The food was delicious, arrived quickly and the staff were attentive and friendly. The restaurant is cozy and the ambience is nice. 5/5 for those aspects. However, the meal sizes are way too small. Normally, mussels are served at 1kg per portion in France and this is what you'd get for the same price back there (560 baht / €15). These portions barely have 1/2kg of mussels and are more like a starter dish. Despite sharing a second main meal, I was not even half full.

Very good value for lunch set - included bread, salad, entree, dessert, and soda. Price already included service charge and VAT.

Lovely little bistro on Soi Convent across from BNH Hospital. Everything at this place is done with meticulous care and the staff are charming and efficient and speak excellent English.

Ordered the croque madame. Asked for the sandwich to be well-toasted since, for some reason, properly toasted bread seems to be a no-no in Thailand. Also, I remembered from last year when I ordered the French onion soup the top wasn’t grilled to that deep beautiful color (which means the cheese sweats a bit).

Anyway, the croque madame that arrived was excellent. Looked beautiful and tasted great. The egg was perfectly cooked. The only thing though was the sandwich again wasn’t well toasted/grilled and didn’t have the contrasting texture which is one of the reasons the sandwich is famous.

Still, the brunch was very nice.
