DEUTSCH

ENGLISH

In the evening we loved to get a pizza, because the BIG Mama Pizzeria was just around the corner from the Grand Mercure we went there. Quickly a bottle of Mollydooker The Boxer plugged in and five minutes later we were already sitting in the restaurant.

The BIG Mama Pizzeria is quite colourful and looks like a traditional pizzeria. In addition to the tables in the interior there are open air tables in front of the restaurant (but right on the street) - we made ourselves comfortable inside.

The service was friendly and attentive, but a bit confused. All food and (almost) all drinks were fast at the table.

Particularly noteworthy was the excellent garlic bread - plus a bowl of fresh chopped & spiced tomatoes to portion the own bruschetta. Since we had brought an excellent wine we ordered as drinks otherwise only still water and soda.

With a Tom Yam Goong and Nua Heng we also had a little Thai food here - both tasted delicious. As a starter, there was a -Tuna salad came along with two separate dressings - handcrafted good and except for the Tuna all fresh ingredients.

The steak shone unfortunately only with the side dishes - the meat itself was far too thin cut and it was not grilled to the point - but it is just a pizzeria.

The pizza, in this case salami, was delicious, but not a real highlight - at least the not saved on cheese. The salami was unfortunately quite tough to eat and could have tasted much better - maybe check if there is not something else on the market.

For dessert there was a panna cotta with blueberry - unfortunately it already turned sour, but that may happen at Asian temperatures - otherwise it looked good.

The prices were OK and so the BIG Mama Pizzeria is certainly a place where you can go in the evening to have a pizza.

Opposite there is a restaurant with "BIG Mama" in the name - I believe in the direction of Tex-Mex, but we have not been there yet.

For Bangkok it's good pizza and pasta, coming from Europe and Italy might be a bit of a bummer in terms of authentic taste.

Actually I feel so bad to give this score to the restaurant as it used to be one of my favourite restaurant in the past.

I had dinner at the restaurant with friends yesterday, the food and service weren’t that good as before. The staff seemed to be tired, kept taking wrong order and serving wrong dishes. It was too hot in the restaurant as well due to the air con maybe~

Good food, around 3mins walking distance from MRT Sukhumvit Station. Pasta dishes are served in a bread cover. Sausage and pizza are quite good. Homely and nice place. Better to book in advance. CASH ONLY payment make sure you bring along enough cash.

The food was good, but no parking space, you need to park your car at near by office building and even with restaurant's stamp I feel that the parking fare still expensive.
