My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant (we're both Europeans). I needed to visit the restroom and my boyfriend was alone in the room, the waitress approached him: "Sir, is this your girlfriend? " He said yes. She went on "Sir why don't you have a Thai girlfriend? ". My Boyfriend told me about this 'conversation' after we left the place. I found it very-very inappropriate, disrespectful & unprofessional. How can anyone question a person'd choice? Especially in a restaurant when she is the waitress and her job is to serve food and make sure the guests are enjoying the food and the atmosphere.
Btw, the food was okay, nothing special.

To continue after having read the owner's reply (on 2 December)
I really appreciate that you as the owner took the time and provided such a detailed explanation.
I asked my boyfriend, he said the waiter did not say anything about my look so please do not write anything down if you cannot prove. It just makes the situation worse. We have been living in BKK for 2 years, everyone knows that (generally speaking) Thai women 1) wish for a white boyfriend/husband and 2) are jealous of the white skin. This situation was not about entertaining my boyfriend or expressing their like on my physical appearance. We both appreciate your kind offer but there is very little chance for us to go back. Please, yes, train your staff. They should know that some topics are sensitive and someone's private choice (especially regarding their partner) is not a subject of a conversation.

Great food, great service. Nice setting. Chistorras in onions and white wine are a treat!

Jamon iberico - fantastic as always.

A good sized restaurant with a large selection of traditional Spanish dishes. The paella is freshly made and there is even a warning on the menu that it will take 30 minutes to prepare. The food is good and I enjoyed the sangria also. I would definitely recommend giving it a visit.

Very disappointed about the food. Everything was so fishy and we didn't even finish the meal. Went there with high expectations and got bad food experience. Staffs are nice. Prices are high. But the food was just disgusting. Hopefully it was just because we got bad luck and went there when the chef got bad mood.

The food is delicious but I cannot say if it’s authentic or not. It’s a bit pricy place but in Thailand usually all foreigner foods cost more than the local food.

Decent Spanish tapas (Barcelona style). Owners try their best to offer authentic flavor and the service is good. My favorites are the paella, croquettes and calamari.

A place to find food made like home when you miss your traditional dishes.
Good atmosphere and relation quality/price.
I definitely recomend it!

I've never experienced spanish food so I don't know if it's just me or the food here are aweful. The cod soup is blandly sweet and the cod fish are overly cooked into hard dry cubes, some bits are so hard they are unchewable. The chilli prawn are unpalatably soaked in oil with bitter burnt garlic slices in them. Just 3 out of 8 prawns are sprinkled sparingly with chilli powder. The aircon room smells so strongly of mothballs that I got headache and had to move to outdoor seat. Paid 600baht for the meal. Will never visit again. Sorry for giving you a bad review. I might have visitted in a bad day or their other dishes might be nicer. Judging from reviews on here it seems like a nice restaurant.

Alright.there is so little Spanish restaurant option in Bangkok I won’t be too severe.
Food price are really good. Food itself is ok.
Had a potatoe pie, some anchovies, chorizo a paella and a Spanish crème brûlée.
All went good except for the paella. It was missing some spices. Salt pepper and other and tomatoes starter. The tomatoes of Thailand having less taste than the Europeans I’ll suggest the restaurant to use a bit of tomato concentrate to adjust the taste to the original. The chicken bits were a bit tiny as well.
Otherwise. Ok, the best spanning so far aven tho there is not much choice to compare too.

Quite a large menu of Spanish items, leaning towards Tapas but also Paella. Sadly I believe my Gazpacho was not fresh today because it had that slightly fizzy fermentation from being in the fridge too long. I tried to pretend it might be acidity, but gave up after barely half a small bowl. Also the croutons were a bit oily. I should have complained. I hoped the Mediterranean Salad would be better; that was a bowl of overdressed lettuce with a lot of balsamic vinegar (too much) topped with shaved carrot and pickled onion, plus sweetcorn, raisins and olives, and a boiled egg. Weird. More like a Nicoise with raisins. No peppers, potato, tomato, cucumber? The staff seemed nice but I wasn't in the mood to complain and try to explain what I thought was wrong. I won't be back. It wasn't cheap either. The hot food or deli meats may be fine, I don't know.

Great croquetes, Catalan style toast bread, now draught beer from Barcelona. If heat allows, sitting outside is a pleasure. Top Catalan food in Bangkok.

Enjoyed dinner here. Tried after reading where Spanish expats eat Spanish food in BKK. Homestyle cooking. Good quality and taste. Reasonable prices.
