Bangla House reviews
28The food quality at this restaurant is rubbish, and I don't understand why they claim to serve Bangladeshi food. I went there for lunch with my Indian friend, and we ordered “beef, palonkshak, chirngi 4 pc, chiringri vorta, dharosh, rice and water”. The taste of the food was not authentic, and the prices were expensive. Our bill came to 910 THB. I have lived in Bangkok for two years, and compared to other five-star restaurants serving different cuisines, this price is too high. I believe the restaurant has a Bangladeshi mentality, thinking they can charge whatever they want for Bangladeshi food. When my friend asked the owner if they imported masala from Bangladesh, they said they make it here in Thailand. It's absurd because the taste of masala in Bangkok is different from Bangladesh. In Indian cuisine, they import masala from their own country. If you're in Bangkok, I strongly advise against wasting your money at this terrible restaurant. You can go Indian, Thai, and Lebanese food because they are cheaper and taste better.
Food and service are very bad quality but you can't complain, beware if you complain to improve quality owner don't accept and be aggressive
Best Bengali food. Taste is excellent like back home. If you have craving food during staying in Bangkok, I highly recommend "Bangla house " as one and only option.
A piece of Bangladesh in thailand with foods that tastes exactly like home. Also the people are extremely helpful and price is really reasonable.
Too expensive compared to nearby Bengali restaurants
Please look around if you prefer value for money dining
Tastes not as good as it was before
If you don’t have abundant of money, then don't go there. Prices are unreasonably higher. A 20 bath item is 100 bath. There are a lot of Bengali restaurants around there those who are offering better foods with 50% lesser prices.
Best in town for Mutton biriyani. Curries are amazing. Specially beef curry is recommended. They also serve Arabic, Burmese and Ethiopean food.
Bangla House is located behind Bamrungrad Hospital. It is walkable from Ploenchit BTS Station.
Bangladeshi cuisine is quite nice here. Homemade vibe, authentic food. Staff are friendly and helpful (no one speaks Thai though).
The mutton curry is very delicious. Garlic nan is quite good too.
I tried almost every item here. In Bangkok, you can smell your home (Bangladeshi) only in this restaurant. Dishes are cooked by the home chefs. That's why feels like food from mom.
Best Bangla food in Thailand. Family friendly, staffs are well mannered, feel like home food we are having. Owner also have good behaviour.
We loved their cooking. Very good bengali cuisine restaurant in sukumvit, adjacent to Bumrungrad hospital. They have dine in and take away options. Also deliver to nearby places and takemorders via phone. Open at 6/7 am to 1am. Foods are fresh and tasty. Service is very good too. Price is very very reasonable.
I think no other Bangla Restaurant is better than this restaurant in the whole Bangkok. Everything is neat and clean. The food so fresh that compels you to visit again. The taste of Bangla food are as like Bangladesh is.
The tea is super, you never get in the whole Bangkok other than here. But the price is little bit high.
Loved their food.price was reasonable.if you are looking for Bangladeshi food in Bangkok, dont miss it!
Halal food in good variety was available. Restaurant environment was Pleasent and the food was very delicious.
You can have great Bangladeshi food here. Teste is awesome. Location is also great. Near Bamrungrad Hospital.
Owned by Bangladeshi guy, offers variety of Bangladeshi food.halal food, bit oily/spicy, but I think people from Bangladesh like it. Their mutton biriyani and beef tehari are delicious.kind of Bangladeshi flavor, very distinct from Indian/Middle Eastern biriyani.should give a try.located just behind Bumrungrad Hospital.
If you are in Bangkok, near Bumgrungrad International Hospital, and most importantly if you are having craving for Authentic Bangladeshi foods, then Bangla House is a must try. We visited it couple of times and each time we had delicious Bangladeshi Foods. Tje restaurant is not very big but The environment is very neat and clean and I was amazed to see some non-Bangladeshi origin folks having lunch / dinner there. Price is definitely reasonable unless you are planning to have a blast by wasting food:). Every time we visited we tried different foods, e.g, Tehari, Biriani, at least 6 to 8 types of bhartas (mash), different types of fishes like Pabda, Kachki, Boal, Rui, etc. Also had Beef and chicken curries. They also have a separate menu for heavy / rich foods like Tehari, biryani, etc. They even had options for Naan rotti, chapati roti, etc.which you can also try with items like Tandoori, mixed vegetables, etc. They even have sweet tooth / dessert items. Though their menu had good depth and almost all of them are delicious, we were mostly attracted to the authentic Bangladeshi regular foods and they were awesome. I will definitely visit again if I ever go back there to have home food far from home.:)
Excellent choice for people of many different backgrounds. The behaviour kof the staff is commendable. Very helpful and accomodative. They try to help out patients from the hospital. It could be a little cheaper though. Nice and cool environment. Quite clean as well.
Had one the best tandoori chicken and also service is great as well as the food serving is fast
The authentic Bangladeshi food experience, but dont expect any fancy interiors. Try the bhartas with white rice and go for the mango lassi.
