Bang Khun Phrom Palace

วังบางขุนพรหม เป็นหนึ่งในวังที่สวยที่สุดของเมืองไทย อยู่ในความดูแลของธนาคารแห่งประเทศไทย แต่เดิม ตั้งอยู่ริมแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา ประกอบด้วย 2 ตำหนัก คือ ตำหนักใหญ่และตำหนักที่พระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัวทรงสร้างให้เป็นที่ประทับของสมเด็จพระเจ้าบรมวงศ์เธอ เจ้าฟ้าบริพัตรสุขุมพันธุ์ กรมพระนครสวรรค์วรพินิจ ตัวอาคารมีรูปแบบสถาปัตยกรรมเป็นศิลปะแบบบาโรกและรอคโคโค เห็นได้จากหน้าบันและผนังภายนอกอาคาร หน้าต่างรูปครึ่งวงกลมมีรูปเครือไม้และผลไม้ รวมถึงมีหลังคาเป็นแบบจั่วสูงหัวตัด ด้านหน้าจะมีศาลาแตร เป็นศาลาวงกลมสร้างแบบยุโรป เรียกกันว่า "กระโจมแตร" ใช้เป็นที่ตั้งวงดนตรีแตรวงของทหารเรือ ทหารบก เมื่อมีการเลี้ยงต้อนรับแขก ภายในห้องโถงวังบางขุนพรหมมีบันไดที่มีศิลปะแบบ Ceremonial Stair ฐานล่างกว้างกว่าชั้นบนในลักษณะสอบเข้าหากัน ซึ่งเป็นบันไดแบบเดียวกับในยุโรป เช่น โรงละคร Opera Garnier ประเทศฝรั่งเศส

We have preregistration for the tournament in the palace. Go to the gate and can not find the way to get in. The registration table in the opposite basement of BOT museum. Have a little disagreement on running outside and inside to find how to get in the tour guide group.

หากลงทะเบียนล่วงหน้าก่อนเยี่ยมชมจะสะดวกมาก ถ้าไม่เต็ม ก็ walkin ได้
ถ้าเต็มก็ไม่ได้เข้าชม การจัดการดีมาก น้องๆที่พาเยี่ยมชมก็มีความรู้ดี บรรยายได้น่าฟัง อยากให้มีเวลาในห้องพิพิธภัณฑ์ มากกว่านี้ ไม่สามารถถ่ายภาพได้ มีสิ่งน่าสนใจมากมาย ภายนอกสวยงาม รักษาสภาพได้ดีมาก

ตำหนักต้นตระกูลบริพัตร ได้รับการบูรณะไว้อย่างสมบูรณ์ กระเบื้อง ปูนปั้น กระจกในสมัยนั้นน่าจะใช้เงินมากโขอยู่
เคยเป็นที่ถ่ายทอดสถานีโทรทัศน์ ไทยทีวี ช่อง 4 บางขุนพรหม ปัจจุบันเป็นของ ธ. แห่งประเทศไทย

Only accepted to visit in weekend, and need to make reservation before in learning center which across palace. It’s free and it had only Thai language guide all the tour.but today there had a very kind staff guild us in English! So much appreciate! Bang Khun Phrom Palace is located on Samsen Area, just near to Rama 8 Bridge and adjacent to Bank of Thailand Museum.

It is a heritage royal residence which is right next tot he bank of Chao Phraya River. The architecture here is an Italian craftsmanship. The palace for royals each represent various unique room for specific purpose.

The European / colonial style palace requires booking in advance from BOT website to access with 2x tour guides provided (in Thai language only). I believed there's 3-4 sessions each day and each tour session is max to 40x ppl.

Many thanks for the tour guide for going beyond mile to explain to us each of exhibitions and rooms visiting are. From the terrace to the interior design.

Meet up point (with a pink wristband) will be provided at the BOT Learning Centre. Please be there 15 mins prior to your tour start time. Then after roll-call, the tour guide will then walk you to the Bang Khun Phrom Palace.

Definitely worth it.

PS: Only still photos are allowed (in some rooms). No videos nor motion capturing is strictly permitted.

For westerners keen to visit, the email reservation system doesn't work and the Bank of Thailand switchboard is in the Thai language. However, it's still possible. Show up 10 or 15 minutes before one of the three tour times. The security guards at the gate will stop you and ask for your name, showing you the guest list. If you're not on it, they will give you this phone number: 02 356 7766.when you hear the recorded message in Thai, press 3.this will connect you to a real person who can hear you speak English or connect you to someone who does. Tell them you'd like to join the tour; they'll warn you the tour is only in Thai but you can take pictures. They tell you to come through security in the building across the street, which is the Bank of Thailand museum and learning center. Someone will meet you there and give you a wristband. There's a good coffee shop there where you can wait before or after your tour. Walk across the street by yourself; the security at the palace gate will let you in with your wristband. There is one room you can't take pictures in, containing personal belongings of the royals who lived there. I don't speak Thai so I didn't understand this and got in a little bit of trouble, but they were nice about it. Tour is about an hour.

วังบางขุนพรหมเป็นวังที่มีการออกแบบสถาปัตยกรรมในยุโรปอยู่ในยุคของ การปฏิวัติอุตสาหกรรมทำให้สามารถผลิตวัสดุก่อสร้างแบบใหม่ เปลี่ยนแปลงการออกแบบ และวิธีการก่อสร้าง ดังนั้นสถาปัตยกรรมวังบางขุนพรหมจึงเป็นโครงสร้างก่ออิฐฉาบปูน ผนังรับน้ำหนัก มีโครงสร้างหลังคาไม้เนื้อแข็ง มุงด้วยกระเบื้องว่าว หลังคาเป็นทรงมังซาร์ ซึ่งมีลักษณะเป็นหลังคาสองชั้นซ้อนกันโดยมีความลาดของหลังคาแต่ละชั้นไม่เท่ากัน หลังคาชั้นล่างมีหน้าต่างเล็ก ๆ
ตำหนักใหญ่วังบางขุนพรหมมีความสวยงามเป็นเอกลักษณ์ด้วยการตกแต่งผนังปูนปั้นอันวิจิตร นับเป็นอาคารที่มีลวดลายประดับงามที่สุดแห่งหนึ่งในประเทศไทย ปูนปั้นเหล่านี้ล้วนเป็นลวดลายที่ได้รับอิทธิพลจากตะวันตกในสมัยต่าง ๆ กัน โดยออกแบบให้สอดคล้องกับองค์ประกอบทางสถาปัตยกรรม

วังบางขุนพรหมเป็นวังเดิมในยุครัชกาลที่4 ทรงโปรดให้สร้างขึ้นสวยสง่าที่สำคัญอยู่ริมแม่น้ำเจ้าพระเพิ่มความสวยมีเสน่ห์มากขึ้น ภายในร่มรื่นสวยงามด้วยสถาปัตย์กรรมผสมผสาน อยู่ติดกับสะพานพระรามแปด แลธนาคารแห่งประเทศไทย

อยู่ริมแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา ลมพัดดี วิวสวย สถานที่กว้างขวาง มี รปภ. ตลอด มีคนสวนดูแลรอบบริเวณพื้นที่ เงียบดี

Today this former royal palace is owned by the National Bank of Thailand. At the moment, it is closed for renovation.

I visited this palace in June 2018, shortly before it was closed. It was very interesting.

During the visit, we were allowed to use a camera in the park and, with a few exceptions, everywhere inside the palace.

When the renovation is completed, there will be access for the public again. I do not know when this will happen. Perhaps in the middle of 2019?

สวยดีค่ะ แต่ดูอะไรได้ไม่เยอะ เพราะส่วนมากให้ดูจากข้างนอกห้อง วิทยากรมาตรฐานต่างกัน บางคนเล่าสนุก บางคนเล่าน่าเบื่อ เวลาเข้าไปจะเข้มงวดดุจสนามบิน

วังสวย แต่การจัดการยังไม่ดีพอ หลายจุดสับสนถ่ายได้ หรือไม่ได้ บางจุดห้ามถ่ายภาพ บางคนแอบถ่าย เจ้าหน้าที่เห็นก็ไม่ห้าม

เข้ามาภายในแบงค์ชาติคะ เปิดให้เข้าชมด้วยภายในเป็นเรื่องเงินๆทองๆเป็นเงินตราธนบัตรแต่ละสมัยจัดเป็นนิทรรศการเลย สาระความรู้ดีมากก พิธีกรก็น่ารักมากกก.
